[Acheron Family Clinic]
Bishop regained consciousness again this morning. Though, he hadn’t talked to anyone.
He just remained bedded, staring at everything like a mute.
Blade and Kent still stayed with him, and after several failed attempts to get words out of him, they stopped.
The ward was silent as if no one’s inside at all, till Kent suddenly spoke up from his corner.
“Someone’s not who we think they are in the house.”
“What someone?” Bishop talked from his bed, surprisingly.
“You can actually still talk?” Blade blinked twice. “Bishop?”
Bishop immediately started struggling to sit up.
Blade quickly helped him tilt, steadying him gently.
“What someone?” Bishop asked Kent curiosly again.
“Blade, what secret was Lovato talking about yesterday?” Kent asked unexpectedly. “I don’t care how destructive it is, trust me to keep it.”
Blade sat back, caressing himself on the fingers.”It’s… it’s. I’ll tell you guys after the second tournament.”
“Is that a promise?” Kent asked.
Blade modded. “And you’ll have to tell us what has been keeping you silent too, bro.”
Kent nodded too.
Bishop smiled a little. “Thank you, you both…for staying with me.”
“You should thank El too. Dude has called close to ten times today, asking about you,” Kent said.
Bishop smiled again. “I know he cares even though he acts distant.”
“One more thing.” Blade drew closer. “Lose feelings for Lovato.”
“Even as her best friend, I support that,” Kent added. “There are so many prettier Enigma girls, Bishop. Bro, you’d get any girl with that face.”
Bishop swallowed, smiling bitterly. “I know, and I’ll try.”
“Don’t just try. Do it!” Blade said.
“I’ll do it,” Bishop said.

[Dread House – Training Lab]
It’s two weeks to the second tournament. Of course the the trainings grew busier.
No Roselle or Roy to disturb others. Everyone trained freely.
Quincy and Renee have been stuck with Rosita since yesterday.
As she trained herself, she took it upon herself to train them too. That bitch Skylar succeeded in dragging her to train the Adams siblings.
They’ve just finished their morning trainings, and Rosita nodded impressively at the two of them.
“You both learn fast, I wonder why you’re still middle tier.”
“It’s because we didn’t have a trainer like the cleaning woman or you. Now that we do, things would change.” Renee said confidently.
Rosita scoffed and took her seat, wiping her face with a napkin.
“Roselle was taken for transfusion this morning…”
“What!” Quincy sounded. “From Skylar? I thought now that she married Jethro, she’d be free.”
“I’m worried about her.” Rosita sighed. “That witch doesn’t even have a new phone yet, I’d have called her.”
Her phone buzzed immediately.
Blade: Lovato is threatening me with our secret, Sita.
“Heck!” She stood. “I knew it!”
With that, she rushed out of the lab, leaving the siblings.
Quincy took her seat on a bench, and Renee went to the far opposite bench to take her seat, both resting.
But then, Quincy suddenly noticed the purpose of this position.
He noticed the reason Renee went to sat across him.
Cos she opened her legs slightly. Her leggings have a tear between her legs, and the tear is directly on top of her pussy, so in her sitting position, he was seeing everything.
He had the best view ever.
While others were rounding up their morning trainings, he was staring at his sister’s puna like a bad brother.
And she smiled widely, opening her legs wider for his eyes.

[Aftermoor]
Jethro woke to the realm of nothingness with a jerk.
He sat up to get his bearings, seeing he’s on top of a cliff surrounded by dark, obsidian-like woods.
He adjusted his poise and suit, looking around again.
“Are you enjoying the scenic view? Jethro?” Inferno’s voice echoed.
Jethro turned again. “Where the hell are you talking from?”
“I don’t have much time to spend with visitors today. You better say what your plight is,” Inferno replied with obvious impatience.
“I’m a supernatural entity like you. You wouldn’t be talking to me like this if I had my powers!” Jethro spat.
“Let me guess, you’re here about your lost powers?” Inferno laughed.
“I heard you’re behind the silly powers in the hands of Skylar and El Crow. I need some too. I need a little power to search for my own powers.”
“And what do I get in return?” Inferno talked fast.
“I can deliver hundred souls to you,” Jethro said immediately.
“That’s old. Say something more interesting,” Inferno responded.
“Stupid undesirable fuckass!” Jethro scoffed. “I lack powers, and because of that, I can’t even enter my lab because I’m too ashamed to step in without my strength!”
“Strike a deal with me, and you’ll get everything you want,” Inferno echoed. “Actually, I know a secret about who Skylar has been getting intimate with…”
Jethro frowned. “What are you…
Before he could finish, the realm snapped in two, and he woke back to life on Ayana’s table.
“Why am I back?!”
“I injected you again with the remedy,” the staff replied. “If your heart stopped working for more than five minutes, you’d stay dead.”
Jethro got down from the table, breathing hard and heavy.
“Didn’t people need to complete tasks before leaving the realm?”
“You’re an entity like Inferno,” Ayana replied. “Of course you can’t perform duties for him. “Being without your powers doesn’t make you human.”
“And if I want to see that jerk again?” Jethro asked impatiently.
“Summon him with fire. He’ll come to you if he likes.” Ayana sat.
Jethro walked out of the house without anymore words to the witch again. His staffs trailed behind him.
“Satan called,” one of them reported.
“And what does that wench want again? Her daughter didn’t get transfused?”
“She called about Roy,” the staff said, and Jethro turned immediately.
“Also, Marisa called, sir.”
“Why are all the deranged women calling my phone today?” Jethro shouted crankily. “Report what they said to me when we get to the car.”
They bowed, and the walk to the car continued while Inferno’s last words danced in his mind.
Skylar getting intimate with someone? It’s definitely a lie.
Inferno said that just to provoke him into making a deal with him.
He’s not gonna fall for it. “When is my schedule light this week?”
“On Saturday, sir.”
“Then arrange a date for me and my wife that day,” Jethro said.
“Also, that day should be her 24th birthday if we’re following the date she has by following,” the guard said.
Jethro turned around swiftly, slanting his head with a vile smile.
“More reason to go on a date. I’ll be the first person to make that whore feel special. It’s a date.”

[An Orphanage]
It’s been a tiring event, so much that that El Crow now hoped for it’s end.
Bellatrix loved kids. She showed it in all of her moves today.
The kids were singing around her while she danced to their tunes.
They submitted flowers to her, and she inserted them into the hair of the girls among the orphans.
After they finished eating the cake she brought, she ordered takeout for everybody too, and they’re now eating in the orphanage yard.
El Crow stood at the park, leaning on his car and holding his phone.
The Milan fashion week is currently ongoing, and as usual, ARDEN models are topping the darkest charts.
They made every other models invisible on the runways.
And he’s currently reading people’s comments about ARDEN CEO.
→”Heard the CEO is a female.”
→”You have to cherish art to be able to style your models this way!”
→”The execution of the couture is so fabulous I feel so lucky watching it!”
→”And the models categories? It’s so intentionally clean.”
As he read comments, he looked up and found Bellatrix staring at him from the middle of the kids.
She blew him a kiss, and he nodded at her before going back to his phone.
A message popped up from his father.
Founder: I know you hate me right now, but you really can’t unmask again. I’m begging you.
El Crow threw his head back, mood ruined immediately.
His father doesn’t get memory wipe after seeing him using his powers cos he’s family. This crazy power recognizes family, knot, and love.
Now he’s wishing it doesn’t, cos this was Arturo’s third message to him today, begging him not to unmask.
He head out of the orphanage for air without telling Bellatrix.
Not far from the orphanage, there’s a chocolate trade fair where kids swarmed like bees, each wanting to get a cone of the moist chocolate.
He entered the fair, and he instantly wanted to taste. He has always liked sweet things. It never changed.
But before he could go closer to the stand, he saw someone.
He went still, then took a step back.
He saw her again, at one of the many barricades surrounding the place.
She leaned on the barricade, face buried into her new phone, her dark hair covering almost all of her face.
Skylar.
He moved immediately, rushing over to the barricade. He slowed down when he was about to get to her.
And when he got to her, she didn’t look up, so he took a peek at her phone and saw her following the Milan fashion week on a platform.
He stood beside her, and she finally looked up. Her forehead is plastered as a result of her fight with Satan. But her bangs covered most of it.
“Are you a stalker?” He frowned.
“I stalked you, yeah. Cos I wanted to see what orphanage with that boring Cinderella looked like. And it was the most unpleasant thing I’d ever witnessed. Dancing to the kids songs? Really? I need baptism to wash my disgust and irritation.”
El Crow bit his lip as he stared into the distance, holding the rails.
“So…you watch fashion shows?”
“Good job peeking at my phone.” She scoffed at him, looking ahead too. “Yeah, I watch fashion shows cos if I later leave this city, I’m going into modelling. And my dream agency is ARDEN GLOBAL. Whoever the CEO is, he or she has my respect. They style their models too fuckin good.”
El Crow held the railings tighter, his wedding ring grinding against it.
Skylar looked at the ring and felt sick to her deepest stomach.
It’s ugly, to say the least.
“You killed Roy,” he said.
“And enjoyed it.” She sighed. “His finger was bitter.”
“You tried eating it?” He faced her with a newfound thrill.
“Look at you.” She rolled eyes deeply. “Are you glad that someone else ate finger like you? Sicko.”
“Co-sicko.” He smirked.
No words between them again. Just spacing out like they have nothing to say, till she decided to take a look.
When she looked sideways, he was already staring at her while the breeze blew his blonde hair softly across his lashes.
She immediately looked away, and her phone cried in her palm.
Unknown number.
Fine, all lines are unsaved on her phone, but she still knew who was who. This was a new unsaved one.
She picked anyways.
“Skylar!!!” Marisa’s scream met her ears like thunder. “You won’t believe this! I just saw an interview of a couple from Thailand who talked about their missing daughter with a fox birthmark on her chest! I already invited them to my place and they’re on their way! Skylar you need to get here as soon as possible!”
By now, the phone was already sliding away from Skylar’s ears, and her arms felt limp, throat dry.
“You can’t go,” El Crow said.
He had heard Marisa’s voice and everything she said.
“You can’t go,” he repeated.
Skylar stepped back.
“Think about it! This morning, you were under pressure to transfuse Roselle, and they taunted you with your rootlessness, fueling your desperateness to find your parents. Now your parents suddenly showed up out of the blues? Think about it! These people are working together! I know I don’t have a say in your life, but we’re partners for Jethro’s case, and I’m just trying to….”
Skylar stepped back again, and before he could add another word, she ran off without looking back.
El Crow released a breath and look his hand away from the railings.
He turned around to return to the orphanage, but a sharp, familiar yell from the crowd reached his ears.
He turned back.
—
When Skylar woke up, she was at a truck site where old cargos littered the space like rotten corpses.
She’s on the floor, weak.
She couldn’t even get up.
All she remembered was that she was running in the middle of the crowd of kids when something stuck her neck.
She lost consciousness immediately, and here she was, still weak.
She must have been injected.
But this weakness doesn’t seem like it was induced from whatever she was injected with. This weakness seemed extraordinary—supernatural.
She tried getting up again, but she experienced another fail.
She couldn’t.
Why would she be this weak?
A recognized laughter sounded from the top of one of the cargos, causing her eardrums to beat.
Roselle jumped down from the cargo, landing directly on Skylar’s tummy.
“Argh!!!” Her shriek rolled off painfully, and her stomach roared with more pains from her landing.
The plaster on her forehead? Roselle ripped it off forcefully, tearing the wound open again.
Roselle’s strength was mad. Skylar felt it immediately. And it suddenly makes sense. Everything clicked.
Inferno took their healing abilities and super strengths to give Roselle.
This is the only explanation.
She shouldn’t have made that bet with Inferno. She regretted it.
She cursed herself as Roselle slapped her face repeatedly.
Now, Inferno even took her normal strength, that’s why she couldn’t stand. If she had her normal fighter strength, Roselle would be dead by now. She doesn’t need super strength to kill Roselle a hundred times.
“Told you, didn’t I?” Roselle grinned, sitting on top of her. “Told you you’d regret ever touching El and even being alive! Now you’re regretting!”
She stood, raised her leg, and slammed it down on Skylar’s mouth, bruising it up badly.
“You touched him with your hands, didn’t you?” She nodded. “I’m cutting off those hands of yours, but first…”
She landed a kick in Skylar’s stomach, and Skylar flew from cargo to cargo, body slamming against metals and plastic till she landed back to the ground, rolling around.
Roselle revealed a sword—secretly stolen from her mom’s office.
“I need your hands now!” She yelled, wanting to go for her again.
But someone else jumped down from another one of the cargos.
She looked back, seeing the one person she wasn’t expecting to see.
El Crow stood there, giant, huge and big as she can still remember. Only that now, he looked like he came here to kill her. He looked like he came to rob her off her existence.
But she was ready.
With this super strength in her, she’d finish him off. How dare he even come here for Skylar’s sake?
“Prick!” She spat, going bitterly and stubbornly for him.
El Crow’s eyes stayed on Skylar who’s still weak on the ground.
He heard Roselle’s heavy footsteps pounding the ground as she ran to him, and he didn’t move.
But he was calculating the minutes in his mind till the last one minute.
He shut his eyes.
It was fast. This unmasking was swifter than the one at Dread House.
Dark clouds gathered.
The day became night.
Storm joined the formula.
When his eyes opened again with the different colors in each eye, Roselle was already with him with her sword raised to his throat.
He didn’t have to touch her.
That’s the peak of this power.
ApexPlus worked with the mind.
Mind control. Mind power.
His mind control made the sword face her instead.
Roselle stabbed herself violently in the stomach.
The sword protruded at her back.
Using his mind, he lifted her off the ground and watched blood drain out of her before throwing her across the over fifty cargos in that place till every damn bone in her body broke.
The sword broke to pieces inside her stomach, ruining her intestines.
But before he could do the last step by throwing her into the storm, Inferno appeared.
He grabbed Roselle, and El Crow instantly sent him a hit.
One of the sword piece from Roselle’s stomach entered Inferno’s eyes before he vanished with Roselle.
El Crow’s eyes were still glowing when he rushed over to Skylar.
Now, her normal strength already came back. She sat up by herself, and he gave her an hand, pulling her up.
The rain washed the blood away from her face already.
“Who….are you?” She whispered.
“Your superior in the bloodline,” he answered straight, voice different.
Deeper rasp. Deeper energy.
Her eyes widened. “ApexPlus,”
His eyes glow stopped. “But you won’t remember this when you wake.
“No no no no…” She rushed her words. “Don’t do that! You can’t do that. I need you…I need you seriously. I need you to live….”
She quickly held his face, stroking his jaws with her thumbs.
“I won’t go to Marisa. Yeah I won’t believe the parent shit. Don’t take this memory away! I need to know you as what I need to survive!!”
“It’s not me. It’s the power itself,” he whispered back, jaws locking. “The power erases the memories of everyone who sees me using it.”
“El….” She called his name for the first time, shaking her head. “No….no…. El..no….no….El…”
And like that, drowsiness took over her.
She fell to his chest.
“El…”
