—

Bellatrix spent nearly five minutes in front of her bedroom door, hoping that El Crow would be back in the room by the time she got inside.

After he left the room earlier, she had no idea where he went in this house.

She could only hope now.

Slowly, she pushed the door open. He was inside, preparing to go to bed.

When he was still at Dread House, he was mostly shirtless, but now even as he prepared to go to bed, he wore a full shirt as if he didn’t want her to see his body at all. So unfair.

But she didn’t mention it.

She entered her closet and changed into her pyjamas.

It’s a couple pyjamas she had brought in so many sets from the designers.

She brought his set to the bedroom and placed it in bed.

“I’d rather read the damn Bible than wear a pyjamas, Bellatrix,” he said immediately he saw it.

She picked the pyjamas back up.

“Oh… sorry. I should have asked for your opinion. I’m sorry.”

El Crow didn’t reply.

He merely climbed the bed and lay on his own side of the bed.

Goddamn.

At Dread House, this 10pm hour of the night was like his morning. He’d be snacking and doing night workouts or fucking a whore by now.

He doesn’t sleep till midnight.

But here he was…in bed by now.

He resisted the urge to hiss as Bellatrix climbed the other side of the bed gently. He felt the bed dipping when she lay down.

Silence followed.

He knew she wasn’t asleep.
He could hear her breaths.

“I disabled every camera in this room, and tommorow, I’m gonna try and disable the ones in Skylar’s room too,” she said. “Please be comfortable.”

El Crow turned to face her.

“I assume there are cameras in every single angle in this house.”

“My dad is cautious to a fault.” She smiled. “So yes…there are cameras.”

“Isn’t he a legit business mogul?” He questioned. “He should be calm in his own house. If he’s not running a shady business, why surround himself with cameras?”

That was a trick question, and Bellatrix went mute for two seconds.

Those two seconds of hesitation gave El Crow the answer he wanted—that Bellatrix definitely knows about her father’s real business.

Or at least, she has an idea of it.

“My father is…clean,” she said slowly. “Everyone in this city knows he runs his business blood-free.”

“Of course.” He nodded, shifting closer to her, intentionally.

She raised his duvet and pulled her close by her arm.

She looked shocked, and she responded with gasp and blinks.

El Crow didn’t care about her reaction. All he plans to do it rein her in by giving her crumbs of soft fake affection to take info from her.

He could do that, at least.

She didn’t even wait.

She hugged him, and he covered them with the duvet together.

He could feel her happiness in the air, and it made him smirk, running his tongue over his lip ring.

He got flashbacks immediately.

The pink pierced nipples.

The ample breasts.

The nipple popping out of his mouth.

Aren’t you a bastard, El? Here with your fake wife and at the same time thinking about your enemy’s nipples.

He shut his eyes.

[Age 4 – Acheron Family Mansion]

El Crow’s room was like a intentional workroom. It was so damn full of life even at that young age.

There was a shelf for toys(cars, guns, gargoyles, and pianos). Another one for his styling drawing books, another one for his small day-to-day journals,, and another for his music boxes and camping ideas.

It was a really busy room, and in the middle of it all was his bed which he slept peacefully on, his blonde hair splayed over his lashes as a result of his rough play before sleep.

His sleep was peaceful, but the wind from outside kept slamming his window back and forth.

It’s a freaking windy night. Maybe a storm was impending.

But despite the windiness, El Crow didn’t even stir in bed.

The sleep was so deep he didn’t even know when his mother entered the room, holding a big black scissors which she was opening and closing as she walked purposefully to his bed.

Marisa looked like she had just been released from a madhouse with her hair cobwebbed in front of her face and her knuckle veins fattening as her fingers wrapped around the scissors like her very weapon.

Not much of her eyes was let out cos of the hair, but the little that showed looked like two pools of hellfire.

She tapped El Crow twice, and the little boy opened his eyes slowly.

The wind slammed the window frame on its hinges again, and the room light flickered.

He saw his mother’s face.

“Mum?”

“You took everything from me!!!!” Marisa growled, lifting the scissors.

“Mum no!!!!!!”

[Present Time]

El Crow screamed back to life, sweating bowlfuls and breathing abnormally. Muscles tense.

It was a nightmare…

The nightmare again.

He thought he conquered it cos he didn’t experience it when he slept on the ground in the truck, but he was wrong. He was so wrong.

“El?” Bellatrix’s voice opened worriedly beside him.

His scream had woken her.

“Did you have a nightmare?” She asked breathlessly, trying to feel his temperature by touching his skin.

He avoided her hand and got down from the bed immediately.

“El!” She got down too.

He sat on her vanity chair, turning his back on her.

“Keep sleeping.”

“How can I sleep when you look—”

“Get on that bed and sleep! Don’t fucking talk to me!” He snarled in all hostility and harshness.

“Ok.” She nodded, fearfully getting back in bed, but she couldn’t stop staring at him with worry.

El Crow shoved his fingers in his hair, elbows on his knees.

That night on the truck…he did not have the nightmare cos Skylar touched him?

That better not be fucking true.

“Fuck…” He groaned.

[Daybreak – Dread House]

The training lab rush resumed this morning. Dreads were almost knocking into each other by the entrance and exits.

And as they did, two strange-looking people entered the house, led by Dread Armies, so the team members didn’t really pay attention.

Strangers aren’t allowed in the house, but so far they’re being led by Dread Armies, Satan knows about it, so everyone went about their mornings.

The strangers were led to Satan’s office where they met the woman seated arrogantly.

They dropped two packages on the desk. No labels, just plain, but whatever it was already looked dangerous without identity.

They didn’t exchange words.

They left the office, and Satan took one of the packs, admiring it between her fiery-loonking fingers.

“You really ordered them?” Midnight said as he entered the office.

“You’re supposed to be at the lab, supervising the trainings.” Satan reclined on her chair.

“I saw when the strangers were coming here. My curiosity wouldn’t let me sit still.” Midnight stopped in front of her desk. “Are you really doing this for Jethro? Aren’t we focusing on Marisa anymore?”

“I’m focusing on Marisa doesn’t mean I’m completely letting Jethro to.” Satan stood. “He wants a brutal second tournament? He’ll get it.”

“What about Arturo?” Midnight asked. “Roselle said his son fought with Darius before Darius died!”

“I’ll go confront Arturo myself. You go focus on the trainings supervision,” Satan responded and walked out of the office with him.

—

[Renee’s Room]

Renee finished tying her hair up in a bun and jumped softly, ready to go out for her trainings.

The blind cleaning woman gave her and Quincy enough trainings to carry her through this second tournament.

That built her confidence.

Her phone buzzed in bed.

A text from her dad.

• Will probably be returning to Oklahoma today. But if I won’t be returning, I’ll tell you. Love ya.

Renee smiled and dropped the phone, then Quincy entered.

“Heyy!” She beamed.

He opened the bag he held and took out a new hair straightener which he dropped on her small table.

He took the old one and threw it in her room trashcan.

“You knew it wasn’t hot anymore?” She blinked surprisingly.

“Would I fuck you with it if I knew it was still hot?” He replied.

Renee three her arms around him immediately, jumping.

“You’re the best brother alive, Biggie.”

Quincy rubbed her hips, cupping them possessively.

“Dad texted me.”

“He texted me too.” She shrugged. “You know you haven’t fucked my ass like you promised.”

“I’ll do that if you do well in the second tournament.” He slapped her butt, caressing the slopes.

“Are we giving each other assignments now?” She laughed. “Just the way I let you crack me after you did well at the first tournament?”

Quincy shoved his hand in her leggings. He nearly cupped her pussy, but the door opened with a burst.

They pushed each other away. Renee fell and bruised her knees.

A fellow middle tier came in.

“You guys aren’t going for trainings? I heard Midnight is in charge today. We don’t wanna offend that wizard with his coat of one color.”

Quincy quickly pulled Renee up, apologizing to her with his eyes.

If anything, the fact that they weren’t catch was more important.

—

The training lab was full as expected, but team members weren’t allowed to start their trainings.

They stood by the walls, just watching Roy and Roselle as they threw their weights around again.

A Dread knelt on all fours.

Roselle sat on her back despite the fact that there were chairs to sit on.

Roy made another Dread kneel in front of him. He then took out his d–ck and is currently peeing on him.

No one could talk.

Breathings was even limited.

“Roy, drink more water and release more urine on him!” Roselle laughed. “I’m celebrating something very special, and I deserve a show!”

“You’ll get every show you deserve!” Roy matched her laughter.

Roselle clapped loudly, her laughter resonating with the sound.

In her mind, she’s celebrating the loss of her feelings for El Crow.

Now she’s working towards his ruin. How dare he marry Bellatrix?

“You know what?” She stood. “Pee is too boring! Vomit in his mouth!”

The Dreads gasps at the crudeness of her orders, and she instantly turned around to punish them, but what was when two men in suit entered the lab. Not everyone recognized them, but few of them recognized them by the BAX brooch on their suits.

Jethro’s staffs.

They came straight for Roy.

“The hell?” He tried to free himself, but he was kicked to the ground by a knee, and his chin bruised. In front of them, his strength was like an ant’s.

“What are you guys doing!!” Roselle got defensive.

“He knows what he tried to do to our Young Miss in front of Acheron Family Hospital! He wore a helmet on a bike!” The staffs responded.

Roselle’s eyes widened.

Roy looked caught.

Midnight entered the lab, then Quincy and Renee who immediately gasped at the scene.

“Midnight!” Roselle rushed to him. “Mid, don’t let them take Roy! They’re lying on him! He didn’t do it!”

“What’s going on?” Midnight questioned the staffs.

“You’ll hear from our Boss.” They dragged Roy up and began taking him out while the other team members followed behind, ready to watch.

“Oh my goodness!” Renee laughed.

“We can’t miss the end of this,” Quincy added.

They rushed outside with the others to watch the spectacle.

“Do something!” Roselle shouted at Midnight who got his phone.

He dialled Satan.

—

[Enigma House – Blade’s Suite]

Maybe it’s the tastiness of last night’s shag, Rosita slept for longer than she should do. The plan was to sneak her out at dawn, but they both woke late.

At 8am, Rosita gasped and jumped off bed, literally. Blade followed.

“I’m dead, Blade. I overslept!”

She gathered her clothes and began wearing them hurriedly

“Where are you going now?” Blade asked confusedly.

“Are you even asking? I need to get out of here!” She snarled in urgency.

“But you can’t leave now!” He reminds. “No matter how careful you are, you won’t be able to leave without getting caught! You have to wait till night!”

“No I can’t! You don’t know my mother! She’ll turn the whole New Orleans upside down if she doesn’t see be before till midday!”

“Just call and tell her you’re deflecting somewhere!” Blade said.

“That’s worse, cos I never deflect! Blade…” She panicked.

“Rosi!” Blade slipped his arms on her waist. “Rosi, listen to me and let her turn this city upside down. No matter how hard she searches, she’d never come here since that’s like a taboo.

Rosita swallowed.

That calmed her down a bit, but she still couldn’t hide her panic.

“Come here.” Blade pulled her into a hug to calm her head. “I love you.”

She hugged him back, breathing in his relieving musk.

“I love you too, Blade.”

—

Lovato looked sullen and disturbed as she came out of her room, phone lodged in her second hand.

She had rejected breakfast.
Not even fruits.

First, Castle told her she wasn’t smart. Secondly, Bishop acted mad at X Point yesterday. Both made her worried.

She couldn’t even breathe properly as she walked the corridor.

Did Castle not like the nudes she sent? Should she send another set?

Does Bishop hate her?

Her phone bleeped, and she sluggishly checked, but she halted when she saw what message it was.

Senior Castle: I couldn’t stop staring at those pictures. You’re the most gorgeous girl alive, Vato. I wish I could have more of these rated pictures to stare at all day.

“Yes!” Lovato leapt. “Yes! He said I’m gorgeous! I’m gorgeous!!”

She was still leaping when she saw Kent from afar.

“Kent!” She yelled, but he didn’t answer. “Bestie!” She ran over to him, curling her arm on his neck.

Kent didn’t even behave like he saw her. He continued his walk with soulless eyes as if he saw something abominable overnight.

“Kent?” She shook him.

He faced her, looking like he finally wants to talk, but that was when Castle joined them.

“Senior Castle!” Lovato flew to him like a mother bird. “Good morning!”

“How was your night?” He stroked her cheek, and she reddened.

“Sweet, Senior. Very sweet.”

Bishop and Blade joined them too, and Bishop never bothered to look at Lovato. He focused on Kent.

Blade had to leave Rosita in his room and come join them for trainings to avoid suspicions.

“You ok?” Bishop asked Kent.

“Was just about to ask that,” Blade added. “Kent is not laughing or telling us about the bitch he fucked last night? Very strange.”

“I’m…fine…” Kent managed a fractured murmur.

“What happened to your voice?!” Castle said shockingly.

Kent looked away, and Arturo joined them on the corridor.

“Why aren’t y’all at the lab yet?” He queried strictly.

They all rushed out, and Arturo followed them behind.

Getting outside, they met who they weren’t expecting.

Satan stood on the front stairs like a demi-demon, hands in her black suit pocket and eyes on the entrance.

“I’d have loved if you entered.” Arturo laughed. “We’d use you as our morning practice specimen.”

“Your son had a fight with Darius before he went hunting with him that day. Roselle and Midnight confirmed it,” Satan’s nose flared.

“They’re great liars like you. They lie well.” Arturo shrugged.

Satan leaned on the balcony, a warning pulling her lips.

“If I in anyway find out your son is really the killer of Darius, the air of this city will scrap your flesh off your skin till your bones stick out of your body for all to see! I won’t have to touch him. I’ll only tell everyone who he is exactly, and he’ll be dead before anyone will know his real name!”

“You could be a great threat poet, Satan.” Arturo’s eyes darkened.

Satan turned around.

Without saying anything else, she walked away.
