Gwen was sitting by the fountain, reading a book she really loved. It was a private romance novel she had written about Knox during her freshman year, full of her secret feelings she never planned to show anyone.

The book slipped and fell off her lap. Out of nowhere, Jinx appeared and stepped on it with her heels. Gwen looked up, shocked.

Jinx stood there with a mocking smile and a lollipop lying lazily in her mouth. She pouted her lips as she removed the sweet from her mouth.

“Remove your leg or else,” Gwen said, her voice laced with anger.

Jinx chuckled and bent down to pick up the book. “Why do you care so much about this junk, huh?”

She opened it. Her eyes widened. Then she burst out laughing. Gwen’s face almost exploded with shock and embarrassment. Her heart dropped.

“You bîtçh—” Jinx raised her hand and slapped Gwen. Gwen lost her balance and fell straight into the fountain water. Everyone nearby gathered immediately, raising their phones up to record. They loved it when drama happened.

“How dare you hit me!” Gwen yelled, soaked and humiliated.

Jinx chuckled dryly. “Whøres like you deserve attention.”

Jinx clapped her hands loudly to get everyone’s attention. “Hey everyone, come and hear what this whore writes about Knox in her little book!”

Gwen got out of the water fountain, her body completely wet, her dress sticking to her, tears in her eyes.

“Give it back,” Gwen said, trying to take the book, but it was no use. Jinx pushed her away and she hit the floor with a hard thud.

Jinx started reading out loud in a mocking voice,

“Knox is such a handsome guy, with sexy pink lips. Gorgeous eyes. His strong body and abs make me lose my mind, and that scorpion tattoo makes him so smoking hot—”

Everyone laughed loudly.

Jinx laughed mockingly. “Really, Gwen? You are such a loser for writing this.”

She tore the book into pieces and threw the pages at Gwen’s face.

“Who do you think you are to talk about Knox like that? Knox will never even take a glance at someone like you… ugh,” Jinx said with a smirk and everyone laughed again.

Tears spilled out of Gwen’s eyes. Of course, it was embarrassing. Her most private secret was now public.

“Knox is my boyfriend, you bastard!” Gwen blurted out without thinking twice.

Everyone gasped, especially Jinx.

Jinx grabbed Gwen’s hair tightly in her fist. “You bitch, how dare you spout nonsense—”

Before she could finish, Knox pushed Jinx away. Jinx fell to the ground and scratched her knee.

“Argh, who is that—” She paused when she saw Knox.

Knox’s gang stared at him, surprised.

“Yo, you should have told us you had a girlfriend,” One of them said, shocked. Knox’s expression didn’t change a bit. He walked straight to Gwen and helped her up gently.

Gwen gulped. He must be upset and mad that she called him her boyfriend. She was scared.

But Knox removed his leather jacket and wrapped it around her wet body to cover her.

Jinx stood up quickly. “Knox, this fool here was writing erotic stories about you! She even said you’re her boyfriend! Can you imagine that?”

“And so what?” Knox said coldly,everyone’s eyes widened.

“Wait, what?!” Jinx murmured.

Gwen’s eyes narrowed, confused and shocked.

“Yes, she’s my girlfriend,” Knox said clearly, his voice firm and serious.

Everyone started murmuring loudly and Jinx chuckled in disbelief.

“You’re joking, right? That can’t be—”

“Do I look like I’m joking?” Knox said again, dead serious. Jinx almost stumbled from hearing that.

“What? No, it can’t be! You’re lying to me, to everyone! Since when do you even like girls, especially her?”

“None of your concern,” Knox said firmly, holding Gwen closer.

Gwen hadn’t even gotten out of shock from hearing him say that. Her heart was beating so fast.

Jinx stared at Gwen with clenched fists, then smirked with folded arms.

“Maybe he’s just lying to save a skank like you. You won’t even dare kiss him. He will push you away instantly.”

Gwen looked at Knox. Her hands were shaking, but she was tired of being humiliated. She pulled him closer and pressed her lips on his. He smirked in the kiss, wrapping his hand around her waist and taking control instead. They kissed deeply, insanely. The whole crowd erupted with gasps and screams.

Jinx felt like they had just given her a punch in the face.

Gwen broke the kiss, breathing heavily, then stared at Jinx proudly.

“Do you believe me now?” Gwen asked. Jinx’s face fell, her fists balled tightly.

“Come on, babe, let’s go,” Gwen said and took Knox’s hand and walked away, leaving everyone in shock.

{Knox private lounge }

Knox opened the door and Gwen stepped in. Everything was black. Black leather chairs, a king size bed, neon lights glowing softly, with the faint smell of his cologne, so intoxicating, so strong, so purely Knox.

Gwen looked at him nervously. He stood there, his hands tucked into his pockets, his expression unreadable.

“I’m sorry for whatever happened back there—”

“Save it,” He cut in coldly. “I only did that because the boys think I am a virgin and have no girlfriend. I am not interested in girls, but I’ll manage with you.”

“Manage? Sorry, what do you mean?” Gwen asked, confused, her eyebrows furrowed.

“Date me for a few months to prove to the guys that I’m not a virgin and that I have a girlfriend. In public, we will look like boyfriend and girlfriend. But in private, I am Knox and you are Gwen. Got it?” Knox said simply, as if it was a business deal.

Gwen raised her brow, hurt. “So I am some kind of tool to you now?”

“Isn’t this what you want? You have been having a crush on me since freshman year, and besides, you brought this upon yourself by calling me your boyfriend in front of everyone,” Knox said, his voice calm but blunt. She sighed deeply, feeling embarrassed.

“You’ve got to be kidding me. Yes, I had a crush on you, but I didn’t want us to date like this,” Gwen whispered softly, looking down.

“Great. You’re officially my girlfriend,” Knox said and pulled out his phone. “I am buying some clothes for you. When you get them, change and get out. You can’t stay in wet clothes.”

“But—” Gwen tried to walk towards him to explain, but the floor was slippery. She slipped and stumbled towards Knox, which made them both fall onto the bed. Their lips accidentally brushed for a second. Gwen quickly broke the contact, her face burning red. She could feel how close they were, his body tense beneath hers ,she felt something hard, her heart pounding like a drum. She froze.

“Wait ,are you hard?”She asked.

Knox stared at her, his eyes dark, his breathing heavy.

{ Hallway }

Isabel opened her locker, but Seraphina slammed it shut. Isabel sighed deeply the moment she saw Seraphina standing there with her arms crossed.

“Tell me, bitch, what were you doing in Shane’s private lounge?” Seraphina asked, her voice sharp with jealousy.

“What do you think, huh?” Isabel whispered teasingly, with a small, confident smile.

Seraphina balled her fist, her nails digging into her palm.

“I don’t want to see your face in front of me again. Excuse me,” Isabel said calmly and walked away.

Seraphina’s jaw clenched tightly as she watched her leave.

“Isabel Hart,I’m not done with you yet,” she muttered darkly.
