[Next Day – Tobias’s Oddsion]
The handlers finally were able to get everything on Vincent’s life this morning. It took longer than planned, but Tobias awaited it.
He received the neatly printed documents at his balcony and went through them one by one.
“He established construction companies in six countries?” He muttered, chuckling. “That explains why he was able to vomit 9.9.”
“And he’s never in a place, making him untraceable. His movements fluctuate with the wind. This feels like I’m reading about Escobar.”
“But right now he’s in NYC, though his exact location is not clear?”
“Yes,” an handler displayed a laptop in front of him. “The red icon has been moving around for hours, and it hit like hundred locations in this city already.” They explained.
“But he’s in NYC?” Tobias looked up.
“Hundred percent.” The handler nodded.
“Good,” Tobias stood. “So far he’s in this city, he’s going to come to me with the right amount of pressure. He should have thought it through before deciding to mess with my girl extensively like that, and he should have thought it deeper before even deciding to show up at the auction.”
“Dean’s wedding is in an hour,” Migos mentioned, checking the time.
“I’d love to attend, but I’ve got bigger things to look at. I’ll send my gift over though, and he’ll like it.” Tobias smiled, facing Jude.
“You want me to deliver your gift to the wedding hall?” Jude asked.
“Go on.” Tobias sighed.
Jude left the balcony immediately with three other Odds who’ll be accompanying him.
“Get Estelle ready,” Tobias said. “She’ll move in an hour too.”
Two Odds left the balcony to do that.
Tobias gave Yalda and Migos eye signal that they understood immediately. They also left the balcony without a word.
“The cake? The island? The gift?” Tobias faced the Odds behind him.
“It’s ready since last night. Ready as hell.” They responded. “Everything is set for tonight at the island.”
“Good,” Tobias tipped his brows.

[Bedroom]
Seraphina felt wobbly in the head when she felt the first light of the morning on her skin through the slightly open side blinds.
She felt the extreme softness of what she’s lying on, and the comfortability of the air that wrapped around her, even the gentleness of what’s covering her, and the scent.
Her eyes opened slowly, and she sat up slowly too, realizing she’s in the bedroom, alone.
She’s wearing an oversized pyjamas again, colour black.
She swept her long hair away from her face, trying to think as she sniffled with morning cold.
She’s sure she slept off in front this bedroom last night, so how come she’s inside? Did he carry her again?
She must have drank too much last night, hence her sleeping off last night, but did he really carry her?
She wants to console herself that he did, but with the level of his anger yesterday, he might have told Grimm to drag her inside. She won’t put it past that unfeeling human being.
She shifted slightly, seeing that her phone is beside her.
She took it and stalked the internet. She’s still the first, second and third most trending person.
But now there’s a fourth America topic about Dean’s wedding to Kelly which is happening today.
She dropped her phone, not wanting to get entangled with it at all.
This is an important moment in her life. A moment of joy where a party is needed, but she can’t even do that.
She’s still sad, still weak from the past flashbacks she forced herself to get yesterday, so she lay back down.
She doesn’t wanna be out there just yet. She’ll just bury herself in this warmth for today.
She pulled the duvet over herself again, but then she noticed the programmed writings on the wall.
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR BIGGEST WIN, SERA.
She got up again, faster and energetic this time with wide eyes.

[Juniper Highschool]
Kimmy knew the news would not lie, but still, she wanted to come see for herself, so she came.
She drove past Juniper Cinema on her way here, and that building was razed to the ground completely by a fire no one knew how it started.
Now she’s here at the highschool building, and it’s in the same shape, burnt and ruined and black.
Kimmy couldn’t even close her car door as she came down with wide eyes, staring at the destruction.
People own bombs in this city? And the scariest part is that she knows the person. She knows who.
Of course it’s Tobias.
She jumped back into her car and took her phone, dialling the line Vince called her with yesterday.
She has been dialing and it has been unreachable, but weirdly, it went through now, and she gasped.
“Vincent! He burned the school and cinema! He burnt both!”
“And how is that news of benefit to my existence, Kimora?” Vince asked with a chill voice.
“He can literally do anything without alerting the government! Anything! I don’t feel safe, I feel like he’s coming for me next.” Kimmy said.
“Again, how is that of benefit to my existence?” Vince repeated.
“Vince,..” she inhaled. “I’ll let you do whatever you want, but just… just protect me!”
“You have your parents protection, so why the fûck do I need to step in for you? And you’ll let me do whatever? I’ve never needed your permission to move, .” Vince said.
“I don’t trust my parents protection, Vince. I don’t —”
Vince hung up on her, and she momentarily stopped breathing.
“Vince!!!” She yelled at the phone, smacking her wheel. She looked at the burnt building again and felt herself burning too, literally.
She picked the phone again again and made to retry his line, but she received her father’s call.
“Dad,” she picked breathlessly.
“The wedding is starting now, Kimmy. Where the fûck are you!” Marley blasted her ears.
Kimmy dropped the phone and drove out of the avenue, biting into her nails till she arrived at the wedding hall where the wedding is at.
She rushed inside just when the bride and groom were making their entrance. Kelly and Dean, in the middle like the best couple of the year. Kelly’s smile could brighten the hall if all of the bulbs went off. She had so many bridesmaids behind her, lifting her wide expensive dress tail.
Dean, despite this being his second marriage in months, he looks calm like he’s not the first person to do it.
All that’s in his mind is the thoughts of his upcoming plans as he stared at the faces of the guests.
Every member of Valhalla Club is here, including Xero. They’re scattered around the hall like ants to avoid suspicions.
Genevieve and Marley are still keeping their glares up, and Dean is still keeping his I don’t care font up too. Once the giant hotel building construction is over in few more months and he takes his investment returns, there’ll be no business with Redd Holdings anymore.
Uncle Will didn’t attend the wedding, and he’s thankful for that.
No one wants to see that old man.
But Saint is in the hall, and while everyone watched the entering couple, he’s staring into space.
Since he heard about what happened to Bexley, he has been planning to bury Dora alive when he starts work as GME on Monday.
His stare into space was so deep he didn’t notice when Tino entered the hall and stood beside him.
Tino expected him to notice, but Saint didn’t, at all.
Tino had to clear his throat, and that was when Saint looked up.
“Valentino?” He frowned.
From the two entrances, Jude and the Odds are just entering, pushing a single box of gift inside.

[Wrath Investments Empire]
Estelle got here when the wedding began in the hall, but she waited in her car across the street for ten minutes, letting the cameras surrounding the company go off before she got down.
She wore heavy makeup to conceal her identity, especially the excessively long false lashes.
She waited for a no-passing-car period before crossing over to the company underground parking.
There, she slipped down the staircase which took her to the backdoor.
The plan is simple.
Enter. Plant evidences in all of the HR systems. Then exit.
She has everything in her head, and she’s expecting to impress Tobias.
But on the other side of the road where she packed her car, her car is not the only car waiting.
Another car is right behind her car, and inside the car, green eyes sat with a small haunting grin as he watched Estelle going in.
“Tobias is smart, I give him that. But there are categories to smartness.” His grin stopped.
He snapped his fingers.
“Get that rat who just entered!”
Two men jumped down from the car, going into the Empire.

[Tobias’s Oddsion – Bedroom]
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR BIGGEST WIN, SERA.
Seraphina has been staring at the wall LED words for a few minutes now, and it didn’t get old no matter the time she exhausted.
She couldn’t stop staring. The name at the end pointed out exactly who did it, and also, this is his room, so who else would do this?
She wanted to smile or at least go to the wall to touch it, but she doesn’t want to count her eggs.
Maybe someone’s messing with her in this house? Maybe it’s Migos?
She sat back in bed, looking depressed, but the opening of the door made her stand again.
He walked in, and her heart skipped beats when she saw him.
He wore loose black pants and fitted black shirt too, rounding him up and carving is masculinity.
His hair is smooth, as usual, and the face is unreadable.
He carried a little tray, and when she saw it’s a food tray, she was surprised, till he set it down in bed.
But then she noticed something else—on his right wrist.
The bracelet she crocheted for him—the one she left on the Church pulpit, he’s wearing it.
She nearly let out a gasp, but his next action made her swallow the gasp.
Tobias slipped a piece of her hair behind her ear, slowly.
She couldn’t even look him in the eye as he did it. She kept her gaze on the bracelet he’s wearing.
“Look at me,” he talked, soft.
“No, I’m too stupid.” She said.
He took her chin, forced her face up, and she finally let the gasp fall.
“You’re Seraphina, my Sugar Baby. You’re not stupid. Never have you been.” He said, still soft.
Her eyes blinked in shock.
“I—”
“No.” He cut her off, cupping her face in the middle of his warm palms—a contrast to his cold personality.
“A Stupid Frump would never hand-make the crochet you made for auction. A Cursed Girl would not pull a crowd of foreigners ready to spend billions on her work.” He drove each work home by hooking his eyes with hers.
Seraphina nodded, sniffling.
“You were naive, silly,, I get it.” He whispered. “But you’re here now, better and wiser.”
She did another nod.
“Congratulations on that win.” He added, maintaining the softness.
“I saw it on the wall already,” she muttered slowly, emotional.
He caressed her cheek with his thumb, and she leaned into his touch, body demanding more.
“What do you think about breakfast in bed?” He smiled beautifully, shocking her more.
“It’s…. it’s for me?” She looked at the food tray of tea, fruits, bread, jam and several other healthy varieties.
“It is,” he rubbed her soft small earlobes again, taking his seat.
“But before you fill your mouth,” He pulled her to his laps.
Her arse sat there comfortably, and she straddled him, so she faced him.
She quickly placed her arms on his neck, wrapping it there, their lips only an inch apart.
Their pointed noses brushed, and he gazed hungrily at her parted lips before talking….
“Tell me about your night, baby.”
Seraphina’s heartbeats became uncontrollably fast, echoing loudly in her two ears.
