“Ok, so like, everyone’s mad here,” Saint scoffed behind, resting his elbow on Tino’s shoulder. “The level of craziness only differs.”
Tino shook him off with a serious stare. “Are you liking even this?” He pointed. “Dawg, this is a friggin Church, and that is a Priest! That other guy is a Church Brother judging by what he’s wearing, but they’re playing with guns like it’s chess?”
Saint gave him a bored look. “Damn, grow up, man. I told you what he is, so why act like a empty-head when you already know?”
“Shit, y’all are sick-heads in this place,” Tino muttered, spooked.
Kelly definitely didn’t expect her game to turn on her that fast.
She didn’t expect someone else to act as a shield for that f+ker. Her finger lowered from under the trigger, very slow, and her neck turned to look back at the person who dared.
Seeing it’s a Church Brother, her surprise turned to shock.
“What the….f+k!”
“Are you ok, Father?” Jude asked, paying Kelly no face.
Tobias is still stuck with Dean—eye-strangling him with his gun still intact on Dean’s throat.
Kelly might have lowered her gun, but it’s not his cup of incense. He doesn’t feel whatever that means.
He only sees the first person who dared to get in his way this morning. The first m+therf+ker—Dean.
Dean again.
“Getting in my way after I plucked a disrespectful arrow from the wall tops the list of the fastest ways to die by my hands this morning, and m+therf+ker, you had to insert yourself, in front of me,” He raged.
“You never changed. Evil still lurks around you tasteless punk!” Dean shot, his Adam’s apple bobbing beneath the gun nozzle.
“Bitch, I fear no evil. The shadows and the valley are mine! And evil don’t lurk around me, m+therf+ker, I am the evil you need to fear!” Tobias slipped his finger under the trigger, the rage widening in his head.
His eyes were bloodshot, raw with a savage hunger for blood.
In his second hand, he white-knuckled the arrow so hard it bent.
“I should have started suspecting when you donated billions at the Charity dinner,” Dean chuckled, looking like he doesn’t even fear the gun on top of his throat.
Tobias pointed a gun at him too many times in college, but he never shot.
The only time he hurt him brutally was the cutlass slash he gave him on his back, so till now, Dean believes nothing can make Tobias pull the trigger on him.
He believes no matter how heartless and bloody Tobias is, their twin bond will never give him the push to pull the trigger on him, ever.
Tobias lowered his hand, ready to play a little bit.
“You saw my charity donation money weight, and you decided to send in messy Rednecks here, in my Rectory, to come steal my money?”
“Cos we both know you stole the money too from the operations you go for your damn cult, and what’s wrong if I decide to steal a little bit? Not like you deserve any good thing existing. You don’t possess the brains to manage goodness, Tobias. It showed in school cos you never had A in your results!” Dean laughed.
Tobias decided it was time to stop the plat and use the gun.
Spinning around, he aimed for Kelly who’s still with Jude.
Blank-faced, he shot Kelly on the shoulder—beside the line of her bra.
“F+k!!! F+k! Ahhhh!!!”
The gun she held fell from her. Her heels twisted, entering the soft wet ground as her blood flowed.
“Kell!” Dean took off, racing to her side the second the gunshot echoed.
Kelly was about to crumple to the ground when Dean reached her.
He caught her with both hands, her blood soaking through his shirt fast.
“Dean…..Dean!!!” She screamed again, head dangling. “I think I’m gonna die! I can’t feel my arm!!! Dean I can’t…feel…ohhh!!”
“Kell, Kell you have to keep your eyes open! Keep your eyes open!” Dean tried to stabilize her first.
All the while, Saint lingered at the back, a smile playing on his lips as he savored the beautiful morning and pleasant weather.
Tino shook his head, swallowing hard as he stared at Tobias, who stood in his vestments like Satan himself, stoking the flames of the abyss.
“No, this ain’t normal. I’m outta here…” He moved, rushing off.
Saint is too into his fun to even notice his absence.
Now, Tobias is with the bold couple, standing over them like a fallen angel, except that he’s missing the black wings and horns.
“You pointed a gun at my head? What a whack-a+s move, but at least it gave you the second gift from me. First was a cutlass on your head on the night of the faculty dinner, and second is this bullet,” he touched the bullet hole on her shoulder.
“Ahhh!!!” She cried out.
Dean punched Tobias hand away.
Tobias swung his bloody finger, amusement slithered through him, wicked and patient.
“You will pay for this, Tobias, trust me. You always pay. You paid for the slash you gave us with your Empire. And this bullet you put in her? You’ll pay with something higher. I don’t play with Kelly, and I’ll f+k you up.”
“Rich,” Tobias nodded. “Mmkay, I’ll wait for the payback you’re so f+kin sure about. I love when you play yourself, Dean. And the Empire? When it’s time for the odds to play, they’ll come to play in your face.”
Dean lifted Kelly unto his arms, carrying her to the park with a run.
Till he moved away from sight, Tobias stayed where he stayed, just staring at the gun he held.
“Are you ok, Father?” Jude repeated the question he asked a while ago.
“As you can see,” Tobias responded. “Prayers postponed till noon. Now, I have a business to take care of.”
He moved, finally.
“Toby! We need to talk!” Saint followed up fast.
“Ain’t talking shit to anyone yet. Not now, at all.” Tobias cleared, not even stopping for a beat.
“But it’s about Uncle Will! That old man is going after your cult, and we know that will never end well. Heard he brought examiners to check the carved body. The body is still not buried! It’s damn risky!”
Tobias stopped, turning with a side of his body. “I don’t give a f+k what Uncle William does with his free time, Saint. I don’t give a fû+k who dies and who lives. I don’t care about possibilities or probabilities. He’s old enough to take care of his shit, and if he ends up getting caught by the odds, then he’s old enough to die.”
“Toby!” Saint frowned.
But Tobias back view was the answer he got as Tobias turned and went for the mountain way.
Jude went past Saint, following him.
“Hey,” Saint hollered.
Jude looked back.
“How the fûck did you get entangled with my brother?” Saint questioned.
“He’s your brother,” Jude shrugged. “Ask him yourself.”
Then, he followed Tobias till they both disappeared out of sight.
“Asshole,” Saint muttered, scoffing. “I wanna slam his head.”

[Nuns Convent]
Ruth went to the Church gate minutes ago, and when she emerged back at the convent, she held a small package to her chest like her treasure.
As she walked past the passage, the other Nuns tried to strike a conversation, but she ignored all.
The cancelled morning prayer made the passage full, so she had a hard time trying to get past.
“Oh no,” she mumbled when she walked into Nun Grace.
She wanted to ignore her like the others, but of course it didn’t work on Grace. She obstructed her with genuinely concerned eyes.
“You’ve been avoiding everyone these days, Ruth. You’re either in your room, or standing alone in the passage, or nowhere to be found like you disappeared with the wind.”
“You have nothing to be worried about, Grace.” Ruth smiled deceptively, impatient to get to her room and unbox what’s with her. “I’ve just been under the weather, but I’m fine now.” She nodded.
“But, you look—”
“Grace,” Ruth interrupted. “I said I’m perfectly fine, just let it go.”
And with that, she stepped away, leaving Grace standing.
She slipped out of the passage to her room and let out a sigh.
She dropped the package on her bed and unboxed it.
It turned out to be a series of boxes containing jewelries—n+pple rings.
Back then, she pierced her n+pples, and Tobias liked it. He liked sucking on them. Maybe he just needs to see the rings on her again.
Maybe that’s what he needs to turn him on again.
She stripped, stood in front of her prayer mirror and began fixing the rings on her n+pples.
Her excitement must have made her forgot to lock the door cos Nun Estelle burst in unannounced.
Ruth impulsively dragged her bedspread over her chest go cover up. Yet, Estelle saw the rings.
“Ruth?” Her stare froze. “Ring on your sacred body?”
“Shut up, Estelle!” Ruth fixed her a hard stare.
“Watch me!” Estelle smiled, raising her voice as she went for the door…”Nuns of the convent!! Ruth has fallen off from holiness and is fixing rings on her—”
Her announcement met a dead end once she opened the door.
Nun Ruth threw the incense ash residue glass at her head. The glass fell in a spray of shattered pieces.
A little blood flowed out of Estelle’s head before she went down unconsciously.
In one swift motion, Ruth pulled her in and shut the door.
She pushed Estelle under her bed, making sure she’s well covered.
“Stay here till you regain consciousness, and I’ll know what to do with you, fool.” She inhaled.
She walked back to the mirror, stood naked in front of it and glowered.
“Yeah, my little faith is gone, but who cares? As far as it gets me my only wish in this life…”
