[Savior’s Alive Church]
“Brother Jude!” Nun Grace was the first to venture nearer in a run.
“Bro Jude!” Nun Ruth followed.
Nun Estelle stayed where she stayed, afraid that she’d receive a metal pipe hit too if she went close.
Jude is not on his knees, still bleeding, still weak, still groaning.
Grace and Ruth held him by both sides, then some of the Brothers who’re now regaining breaths.
“Why would you do this to a human?” Nun Grace looked up. “How did you even enter the Church!”
“Simple, we disguised as sinners coming for confession..” the Loaner Boss shrugged, swinging the bloodstained metal pipe.
His minions are lined behind him now, and by the look of things, he’s preparing to hit Jude again.
“Get the Church ambulance!” Nun Ruth shouted.
Nun Estelle finally saw an opportunity to get out of there, so she turned to leave for the ambulance…
“Y’all ass-heads can’t read the room?” The Loaner Boss shouted. “No one’s taking him! Touch him, and you’ll be the next person I break their heads!”
Estelle froze, holding the door hinge tight she nearly peed.
“I beg you in the name of Mother Mary!!” Nun Grace shouted.
“That has never worked for me, bî+ch!” The Loaner Boss shouted back, swinging the pipe again—for Jude’s head again.
“Now you wouldn’t wanna do that, or the floors would be painted red—not with paint, but with blood.” Tobias said flatly, appearing by the door.
“Father!” Nun Estelle shouted, intentionally tearing herself on the arm with her thumb nail. She bled a little on that arm. “Father, you’re finally here! They’ve been harassing us! Look what they did to my arm!” She showed her bleeding arm.
Nun Ruth scoffed.
Tobias whizzed past Estelle like a bullet, his vestments still scenting like blood from the Rednecks.
It’s still stained with wet sand in some places, too.
His neckline and hem are the worse. Those places have heavy bloodstains, but thankfully, it’s black, so no one knows the state of it.
Nun Estelle dropped her arm dejectedly.
Tobias gave Jude a short unreadable stare. Jude is still conscious. His eyes are open, but he can only groan.
Tobias redirected his cold, devouring stare to the smelly loan sharks surrounding the passage.
“You’re the Priest here? Good,” the Loaner Boss hung his pipe on his shoulder. “The Priest should take responsibility for the troubles of his lambs, don’t you think?”
“Mm-mm,” Tobias sounded irritated. “How much are we talking about?”
“His family debt remained a million, but a additional million was added to it for each year he didn’t pay. It’s been two years, so now he’s paying us 3”
“N….o” Jude groaned from the ground, painfully. “That wasn’t…that wasn’t part of…the agreement my parents…. signed…that wasn’t part of…ahh!! My head…” He groaned louder, shaking.
“Don’t talk anymore!” Nun Ruth shouted worriedly.
“That’s right, Jude. Preserve your energy.” Nun Grace said.
“3 Milli?” Tobias repeated like the amount is insanely below him.
“What?” The Loaner Boss chuckled, sauntering forward. “Your small Church can’t spit out that amount?”
“You’re wrong, boy. I wipe my mouth with that crusty amount after brushing.” Tobias stayed cold as he talked like a programmed robot.
The Loaner Boss looked taken aback.
He looked at Tobias from his hair, to the eyes, the vestments, to the shoes.
Who’s he anyways?
He even used the street slang to say 3 Milli. A Priest?
“Nun Ruth, go on to my car, and get me twenty bundles from the stack. Pack them in your head cover if you have to.” Tobias ordered.
Ruth looked surprised at first, but this is about saving Jude’s life.
She stood and rushed out. Outside was a chilly, frigid weather.
His car was parked right in front of his Rectory. She opened the front door and found nothing except a stick of incense, wrapped like cigarette with a burnt head.
He smokes incense.
Ruth quickly closed that door, taking a huge breathe.
“Sick thing,” she muttered, opening the back door.
She saw a metal box, and she instantly recognized it.
Back then in Hollow, he once made her kneel on this metal box while she sucked his cóvk.
She knows the long metal box is where he keeps his girlfriend gun. But right now, there are so many holes on the body of the box.
Holes that look like they were made by gunshots.
She covered her mouth with her palm. He still uses the gun? He still…kills? Even as a Priest?
But she’s here to pick money for Jude’s case, right?
So she ignored the box.
The bag is right beside the box. She dragged the heavy bag out and almost fell with the weight.
“You’re taking forever to take money?” Nun Estelle arrived with her impatience. She grabbed the bag, trying to take it from Ruth.
“I was sent to get it, not you!” Ruth glared. “Must you do this everytime?”
“Give it to me! You hate him anyways, why run errands for him!” Estelle glared back, dragging it hard.
“I never said I hated Tobs!” Ruth said before she could stop herself.
Estelle gasped. “Tobs? You called the Priest by his name? You even shortened it! How dare you!” She sent a steamy smack to Ruth’s face.
“How dare you too!” Ruth returned the slap to Estelle’s neck. “It’s none of your business what I decide to call him! Let go of the bag!”
But Estelle wouldn’t.
She pulled back, and Ruth pulled to the left, till it got too much and the bag turned upside down, pouring all the bundles of money out.
Both girls let their shocks take over their bodies as they stared at the bundles of dollars at their feet!
Nun Estelle dropped on her knees, breaths seizing.
Nun Ruth gulped.
She knew he was rich.
Everyone in Odium cult was sickly rich, and Tobias was the richest cos he handled the toughest operations.
Girls went after him not only because of his face, but also because of his money. He spent like a bastard.
But now that he’s still carrying this madly huge amount around in his car, it only means he’s still a part of the cult, and he’s still as rich as he was—if not more that that.
He’s still madly rich.
With shaky hands and sweaty palms, Ruth packed the bundles back into the bag and picked twenty out of it.
She carried the bag back into the car, then she packed the twenty in her head cover. It could barely contain it.
She struggled to transport it to the Brothers Quarters, and she poured it on the ground in front of the loan sharks whose mouths popped.
“Twenty bonds, that’s 4 Milli, keep the change.” Tobias said casually.
Without waiting, the men began gathering the money.
The Brothers quickly took Jude out to the Church hospital.
The sharks gathered the bundles greedily, laughing.
“May Mother Mary continue blessing you, Father!” The Boss did the sign of the cross and even blew Tobias a kiss before rushing off with his men.
“Thank you, Father!” A Brother appreciated quickly.
“Thank you, Father!” Another one quickly kneeled.
Then, all of them began knelt. The sound of ‘Thank you, Father’ filled the passage.
Tobias looked around in boredom, seeing how much power money held.
Look at them, all on their knees cos he decided to play with 4Million?
Boring people.
He didn’t tell them to stand, he just walked out of the passage.
By the door, Nun Ruth still stood, looking glued.
Tobias went past her, but her palm unfolded. She grabbed him by his huge arm. Tobias didn’t look back or make any attempt to stop.
His walk even turned rougher, and his arm slipped out of her grip roughly. She lurched.
“Tobs,” she whispered with shaky lips as he left the Quarters.
Tobias return to the Rectory, Nun Estelle is still there, right beside his car. Since she saw the money, she has been unable to move.
Tobias entered his Rectory, and the door locked violently behind him.
Estelle chuckled. “He’s not only handsome but rich? I made the right choice. Thank you, Mother Mary!”

[Next Morning, Redd Estate – Dora’s Bathroom]
Dora held a glass of wine, hair rolled up with several rollers, legs up on the tub edges, and back rested comfortably on the tub wall.
Her other hand held a magazine, and two maids knelt on both sides of the tub, gently scrubbing her skin with sponges.
Her phone buzzed on the stool, but she focused on the magazine.
“Miss, your phone has been dinging nonstop.” A maid informed.
“I’m not deaf, I hear it,” Dora glared. “I should still be asleep, but that Frump made last night so bad I couldn’t get a good sleep.”
“But one of the dings didn’t sound like your usual tests. It sounded like your IG notification sound.” The second maid blinked.
“Pass me the phone,” Dora spread her palm. The phone was placed on it.
She flipped it.
A direct message was waiting.
Normally, people have to send her message requests before they can message her according to her settings, but this one?
He sent just like….that?
She clicked the text.
Immediately she saw S.S Graves, she felt her brows stretching.
“What the….f+k. my muse?!” She spranged up nakedly from the tub.
The maids quickly dipped their faces to the floor.
Seeing the balls picture, Dora’s bodily contents lost their balances.
Her system stopped understanding it’s jobs and malfunctioned. She gripped the phone tight—so tight it nearly slipped into the tub water.
“F+k it, Saint.” She smiled.
