“Dusha moya” the whisper came like a delicious melody, and the dead sparks of her soul were instantly awakened.

Her heart kick-started to life, and her withering mind received instant watering. She was bubbling with joy, her feet lifting from the ground.

She’s wearing only thick socks on her feet, but despite that, the cold was seeping inside her skin as she started taking slow steps forward.

Where the energy to walk came from, she has no idea, but she just knows she’s walking.

The remaining guards behind her began shooting at Madden, and he returned the favor, shooting back to back.

Adeline acted oblivious of the gunshots. She has no business with the ongoing shots, she just wants her man.

“Maddenchik” she muttered in a low tone, her voice hiding under her tongue and barely coming out.

She went from walking to running.

Madden shot down the last guard, then he dropped his gun on the ground and started running too, to her.

“Madden!!” She cried joyfully, jumping on him immediately they got to each other.

Madden held her with insane energy, his veins running through his skin and his muscles bulging as she held her in his arms like a baby…his baby.

She lost a lot of weight cos he knows she weighted more than this before, and her energy level dropped drastically.

She’s like a child in his arms, and as her cold tears wet his shirt, he stroke her hair affectionately, not trying to hide the passion and love in his eyes.

He’d die for this woman, no doubt.

No matter the face, no matter what, no matter the situation, he gives no f+ck… She’d always be his own.

His f+çking soul.

“I’m so sorry for leaving Russia. I’m sorry I shouldn’t have left. I was just scared when Klara told me that I’d bring failure to you. I didn’t think, I just wanted you to claim what’s yours and…

Madden broke the hug this time, dropping her gently on the ground before holding her face in the middle of his palms.

“You’re my only property.

You’re what’s mine, Addie. You’re it” he confirmed with soft eyes, and Adeline smiled tearfully.

“Yes I’m yours, only yours, Madd” she nodded.

“I hate it when you shorten my name” he whispered, resting his forehead on hers.

“I’m yours, Madden. I love you so much” she cried more, and he brought his lips to her face, letting out his tongue to lick her tears before kissing her eyes.

“There’s nothing pure, soft, or clean about what I feel for you, Addie. It’s an unusual, insane, toxic and eccentric version of obsession. You’re the only one who can communicate with the monsters in my head, and the only one I’ve ever allowed into my dark mind… You’re own me too. All of me” he whispered with a soft smile, showing his perfect set of teeth.

“Oh gawd” Adeline muttered with melting insides, connecting their lips despite the tears in her eyes.

Damn…she missed this.

Sparks flew around instantly, and she felt her head settling, but the kiss didn’t last cos just as she was about to start enjoying it, Madden broke it.

“Let’s get you out of here first” he said, and before she could reply, she was already in his arms.

She locked her arms on his neck, staring at his face as he carried her out of the area.

If there’s anything about his new face, it’s the fact that it looks fiercer than the old one, and then the beautiful mole on his nose, then his lips are redder.

She wants to kiss that all night, be inside his skin all night, cuddled around him all night and feel his coldness all night too.

There are lots in her to-do list, but she’s hoping she’d be able to do everything cos obviously, Dominic won’t let this slide.

Her stomach ache disappeared already, but she’s still feeling the ache slightly in her abdomen.

Maybe a little rest will take that away.

Madden darted his eyes to her, and she smiled prettily.

In her mind, she’s marking today as the best night of her life already, and she can’t wait to create more.

She was so lost in his gaze that she didn’t realize when they arrived at the car.

Her daydream stopped when he dropped her in the car and she met Trixie inside.

“Sis!” Trixie gasped, hugging her tightly.

Adeline hugged her back fondly, and Trixie smiled.

“I’m sorry I doubted you earlier. Sorry I thought you were mad” she said.

“It’s ok, I have him back now” Adeline replied, and Trixie broke the hug.

Madden got on the driver’s seat to drive…

“No no… I’ll drive. Just give me directions. Please come to the back with Adeline” Trixie quickly got down.

She took the driver’s seat, and Madden joined Adeline at the back.

He pulled her to his laps immediately, and she straddled him, staring at his face as Trixie drove in the front.

She held his face and began caressing his brows which is now fuller just like hers.

She was biting her lips as she did, and Madden’s eyes were frozen on hers.

“I’m gonna barb my hair to skin and use the supplements to grow my gold hair back, and I’m gonna trim my eyebrows” she said, and he touched her face, delicately this time.

There are lots of redness on it as a result of Dominic’s excessive slaps, and then her right eye is slightly swollen from the kick she received from Baron’s guards when she barged into his room earlier.

“It doesn’t hurt” she said.

“You don’t get to decide that” he replied frankly, and she calmed down, allowing him to touch slowly.

As he touched the redness and swells, he imagined how beautiful Dominic’s name would be on a tombstone, and how the guards body will look without their heads.

Adeline took the necklace pendant hanging on his chest and kissed it, then Madden touched her lower stomach, making her gasp.

The little pain is still there.

“I’m on my period, actually. Reason why the pain is worse with the poison” she said.

He immediately brought her face to the crook of his neck, and she stayed still, wrapping her arms around him before closing her eyes.

“Don’t talk anymore, just chill on me” he whispered, rubbing her neck slowly.

She did.

She slept off till they arrived at their destination twenty minutes later.

It’s a bungalow in the middle of other houses, and Madden carried Adeline out of the car without waking her.

“Where is this?” Trixie asked.

“Your aunt’s place” he replied, and she was starting to wonder who when Odessa opened the door, stepping out.

She gasped, her eyes landing directly on Trixie.

“Is this her? The child?” She asked, and Madden nodded simply.

Adeline is still sleeping peacefully in his arms .

“My gawd!” Odessa gathered Trixie into a big hug immediately.

“You dunno how sorrowful I was when your late parents announced your fake death. Thanks for staying alive Trixie. I’m your aunt from your father’s side” she said.

Trixie smiled this time, hugging her back.

“I never knew we still have a family member left. It’s nice to meet you, ma’am” she said.

When they broke the hug, Odessa quickly opened the door wider, so Madden carried sleeping Adeline into the house.

She further led him into the bedroom where he placed her gently in bed.

He tried his best to not wake her, but her eyes opened, and immediately she saw Odessa’s face, she sat up.

“Aunt Odessa” she said shockingly, looking around.

This house is surely different from the one she visited her in the other time.

“I had to leave my former house cos I got promoted at work, and this place fits my status better now.” Odessa explained.

“You know I’m Adeline?” Adeline asked.

“Madden called and told me everything before he flew here. He promised to get your body from where it was buried and bring it to me for proper burial since I’m your only living family. I’ve been expecting him to bring your body since daybreak, but then I saw the news flying around the internet about Tessa’s face change” Odessa further explained, showing him the trending news.

Her face and Tessa’s face are just beside each other in the news.

“Thanks for staying alive, you both” Odessa said, unable to stop her tears of joy.

Adeline hugged her tightly.

“Thanks for staying alive too, aunt Odessa” Adeline replied, smiling throughout.

Madden just stayed by the window, backing the frame with his hands in pockets.

The little research he made about Dominic showed he might be weak, but he’s got back up all-over Colorado, so escaping is gonna take so much.

But it’s him anyways… It’d be a piece of cake as usual no matter who he is, and for raising his hands on Adeline alone, he’s gonna remove all his teeth, l pull out his hair and dismember him while he’s still alive.

The hug ended, and he pulled Adeline to his side immediately.

“I’ll cook something” Odessa said, rushing out of the room.

“Fatima said Dominic has backups” Trixie said.

“I know” Madden said.

“He won’t let me go easily. He’s a crazy jerk” Adeline said, and Madden sighed, squinting slightly as he snaked his arm on her waist.

“Trust me” he said, brushing her hair back with his fingers.

“I do” she smiled.

“We’ve got back up too. My team will be here before daybreak” he said.

“Everyone?” Trixie blinked, her heart skipping when she pictured Sin among the team.

“Sure” Madden replied, taking Adeline out of the room.

Trixie bit her lip, sitting in bed slowly.

“Abort your plans right now, Dominic!” Baron shouted, barging into the sickroom.

Dominic is still there, giving orders and gathering his troops from the laptop.

“You can’t hear me? I said stop trying to hunt Madden! You already made him leave this estate so I lost all hope of him working on my image already. Now you wanna start a mob war? Do you know who you’re up against? Madden Smirnov! Do you know how many people he killed in Russia? Countless! Even innocent people, now think about this place that’s not his country at all…do you know how many nurses he wasted at the hospital? Five, then eleven bodyguards who took Adeline to punish were all wasted too. Please stop this madness he’s not someone you can face!” Baron said breathlessly.

Still, Dominic didn’t even look up at him at all.

“He’s…deaf. He can’t hear you sir” one of the guards in the room said.

“What!” Baron faced the guard, then Dominic stood.

“What have you been saying?” He demanded.

Baron ordered all the guards to leave, but they didn’t move till Dominic nodded at them, then they left.

Baron got his phone and typed…

“I don’t want outside war for this empire. I love my low-key operations the way it is and I love the fact that I’m not attracting enemies. Drop the fight with Madden and let him go with his woman”

Immediately Dominic read it, he started laughing.

“Let him go? He killed eleven of my guards, old man! He took my woman!” He snarled.

“Adeline is not your woman! You only grew lust for her after seeing her name and picture as wanted on the Bratva news one year ago!” Baron typed for him again.

“Now you’re pissing me off! Get out!” Dominic shouted.

“I’m not going anywhere till you drop the war” Baron replied.

“Get out this instant, or I’d have to kill you!” Dominic shouted again.

“I said I’m not leaving till you drop the war!” Baron replied, and Dominic grabbed his gun from the bed.

Baron grabbed his gun from his pocket too, and they both aimed for each other at the same time.

“I’m tired of you and you know it. You brought so much feats to this empire as my son, and I respect you for that, which is why I’ve been keeping quiet, but not anymore” Baron said, and Dominic grinned.

“Good to know we share same intentions, father…” He said.

Baron made to shoot him, but no bullet came out when he pulled the trigger.

“Sorry, i had my guards steal your bullets” Dominic laughed, and Baron’s eyes widened.

He started shifting back.

“Guards!!” He shouted.

“Too bad, they only listen to me” Dominic muttered.

“Dominic don’t!” Baron shifted back again.

“Goodbye, father” Dominic scoffed, sliding his finger under the trigger.

Before he could pull, another person barged in, shooting him in the head.

It’s Fatima!

Dominic’s blood splashed on the wall, and he went down with a wordless gasp, dying on the spot.

Fatima’s hands were shaking on the gun as she lowered it, then she fell to the ground on her bum, crying.

“Fatima” Baron rushed to her, kneeling beside her and pulling her to a hug.

“I didn’t mean to shoot, but when I saw him about to shoot you! I didn’t want to become fatherless!” She cried.

“You did the right thing, sweetheart. Thank you” Baron smiled.

He went to the laptop and cancelled the call-in of the forces, then he called the guards in.

They were too shocked to see Dominic’s body instead of Baron’s, and Baron smiled.

“Now you can listen to me after his death, right? And I’m firing everyone of you who’re loyal to this twat, but first of all, cancel the psychical call-ins too. There’ll be no war. I want my peaceful empire intact” he ordered.
