Synopsis:
The sun was very bright on that Saturday morning. It was the kind of morning that should make anyone feel happy. The light came through the large windows of the house and made the white walls look like they were glowing. Outside the window, there was a garden that Nia and Andre had worked on together for a long time. It was a garden full of roses. There were red roses that looked like velvet. There were yellow roses that looked like little pieces of the sun. There were also white roses that looked as pure as new snow. Usually, looking at these flowers made Nia feel very peaceful. She loved to see the bees flying from one petal to another. She loved the way the wind made the flowers dance. But today, Nia did not feel peaceful at all. Even though the sun was warm on her skin, she felt a cold shiver deep inside her heart.
