” Open the gate. ” She commanded the guard who did as she has said.

Some p@rt of Avery’s dress has been torn by the animal, and she was a little close to Eve’s look when she was dragged out for execution.

The only difference is, Avery didn’t look like a zombie. Just some p@rt of her were bruised by the teeth of the Jaguar.

The guard had to calm the Jaguar before Madam Dacia could enter into the dungeon. Avery was p@n-ting heavily, her we-t eyes staring at madam Dacia as she made her way close to her.

” I can see you still look healthy. I see the Jaguar loves you so much. ” Avery moved her head at both sides, ” Well, I’ll be shifting you to a better cage since the animal has no effect on you. ”

Avery moved her head continuously. ” plea-se, don’t do this to me. I am innocent, plea-se. I am innocent. ”

Two guards dragged her out of the dungeon to a different one, more darker and colder than the previous one.

They locked the cage, Madam Dacia held the door. ” Hope you survive this one.” ma-king a pitiful face, she said. ” I wish you can really survive it to see the sun by tomorrow. But, I think I’m only overthinking it. Bye bye. ” She win-ked at her, walking away.

Avery folded her hands around her che-st, shivering in the cold air. Her teeth were gnashing and she could hear the cracking sounds it made.

She made steps backwards, jamming against something… or someone. She turned to look at what it was, hoping it wasn’t a bigger animal this time.

She screamed at the sight of the figure almost falling to the ground, but she held herself. And she couldn’t get a glimpse of what it was even how ha-rd she tried to.

” Who… Who are you? ” She asked in a shaky voice.

But the figure gave her no reply.

” W… What are you? ” She asked again, yet he said nothing. She ran to the door, ban-ging her hand on it, and crying out for help. ” Someb©dy help me! Get me out of here! plea-se… plea-se, someone get me out of here. ” Her voice went low, she gave up screaming.

If this was death’s call, she just have to accept it the way it is.

The figure moved closer, and again. She could feel her heart beating ha-rd . Her breath increa-sed, and those h0t tears kept rolling out of her eyes.

She didn’t turn to look. She didn’t want to look at who it was. Now he was close to her, her legs began shivering and dancing to no tune.

She felt a hand on her shoulder, moving slowly and carefully to her n£¢k. And another rested on her w@!st which he used to pu-ll her close to his b©dy.

” plea-se. plea-se…don’t kill… me. ” She begged.

But what makes her think the hungry creature behind would listen to her plea-s when he nee-ded to fed?

” Blood…” He hissed. ” I nee-d blood. ”

Avery still didn’t un-derstand what those words are. Her br@in couldn’t even interpret what it meant. Perceiving the smell of her bruises only made his hunger rise up the more.

And all he wanted to do right now was to gr-ab her to the ground and have a full taste of those sweet blood of hers without minding if anyone was watching.

He moved her head to her left, his grip on her w@!st ti-ght£ñed the more as if he was scared she was gonna sl!paway.

He moved the ti-p of his nose on her ba-re skin, sniffing hungrily. Avery didn’t move neither did she thought of pleading for her life because she knows she won’t earn it.

So, she gave up.

She is re-ady to accept her destiny.

But that didn’t st©p the h0t tears from rolling.

He sniffed ha-rd again, his mouth were open re-ady to feed. She felt those canine teeth made contact with her skin but it didn’t make a scratch on her.

He slightly pushed her away, ma-king few steps away from her. She slowly looked above her shoulder, not wanting to make a direct eye contact with him.

He didn’t want to. He couldn’t do it. The scent of her blood was so tempting, he frowned at his weakness. He was so damn hungry and desperately wanted to feed.

Now he has seen one, he couldn’t do it. Not that he cared about hurting her, but what made him st©p was something he can’t tell.

Never before has something like this ever happen. He never bothered about his prey, he feeds on them and still hungers for more.

But by the mere perceiving of her blood, his hunger quenched. So he thought of preserving her. He wouldn’t want to drain her so soon, she will be of a great meal to him later.

He opened the door, and how he did that shocked Avery. He didn’t struggle to pu-ll it open, but when she ban-ged on it, it couldn’t open.

What is he? She mentally asked herself. Why didn’t he kill me? Why did he st©p?

” How is she? ” She asked as soon as he entered the room. ” Was she enough to satisfy you? ”

” I didn’t feed on her? ” Madam Dacia furrowed her brow.

” Why didn’t you? You are supposed to feed on her, she is the only available food for now. ”

” I know, but I changed my mind. ”

” What is that supposed to mean? You changed your mind as in? ”

” I wouldn’t want to drain her so soon, she will be of great gain to me. As soon as I am done with her blood, then you can do to her whatever you want. For now, I want her to serve me. ”

” Then you can be able to feed on her without any one noticing. Then every one might think she didn’t make it out of the dungeon alive. ” She said thoughtfully, nodding her head. ” That’s a great idea, My Love. ”

” Should I order the guards to bring her out? ”

” Yes, do so quic-kly. ”

She left the room to the dungeon. ” Bring her out. ” She ordered.

Again, they dragged her out of the cage, tossing her to the ground. Her b©dy seemed not to st©p shivering, and she was so scared that couldn’t spare Madam Dacia a glance.

” Thank your stars you didn’t die as I expected, but don’t have high hopes yet. What you are about to face is like a nightmare that will hunt you until you are gone for darn good.

Then, you will see reasons why you don’t have the right to tamper with my favorite dress. And plea-se, spare me the plea-s cause I ain’t interested. ” Turning to the guards, ” Take her to the Master’s be-droom. ”

They pu-ll-ed her to her feet, dragging her r0ûghly to the Master’s room. When they got there, they pushed her causing her to fall. They didn’t mind where she landed, they shut the door close.

She stood to her feet, glaring frightfully around the room. Why have they brou-ght her to the Master, is he the one to proclaim the final judgement on her?

Why does her own punishment seem to be tougher than that of Eve. Or was this the same way they treated the poor girl before she died?

Little did she know that it was The Master she had seen in the dungeon…

She didn’t move from that sp©t she stood, but her eyes did the inspection. The room was extra large then that she stayed with other maids.

It was so wi-de enough to continue every single maids and servants that worked for the Rutherford’s. And somehow, she grew scared the more.

But not so scared compared to when the lights turned off. She flin-ched, turning around to get a glimpse of who it was that had turn off the lights.

” Hello? ” She asked, shakily. ” Is there anyone in here? ”

” Hello, Miss Dennison. ” Said a voice from behind. She flin-ched, falling to the ground.

” Who are you? ”

” Sorry for startling you. My name is Mr Rutherford, I’m certain you know who I am. ”

” Why are the lights gone? ”

” You are not expected to see my face. ”

” What do you want from me? Why am I here? ”

” Fear not, Miss Dennison. From today, you won’t have to serve at the laundry room anymore, you will be serving me. ”

Avery’s heart almost flew from her b©dy. She g@sped, speechless.

” You will meet with the chief maid, she will direct you on what and what not to do. You are free to go now. ”

Immediately, Avery stood up from where she sat, not w@!sting a second of her time, she left the room.
