It’s just four days in the mansion and someone is executed alre-ady???

I still can’t believe humans could be so wicked to themselves. Why would someone try to implicate another?

Unfortunately, that poor girl’s life is gonna be ruined all because of some wicked souls. I really pity her, who knows if she’s got people who misses her.

Now I am beginning to see what kind of creature The Mistress is. At first, I didn’t want to believe what the other maids said about her but now, I see they are all true.

If she is this wicked and heartless, what kind of person will the master be? Well, since I got here, no one has ever said anything about him. Guess that’s because he isn’t that bad as I think.

Or could that be because… No one has ever l@yan eye on him before? I’m beginning to think this is all a mystery of my nightmares.

Eve will be executed today by hanging. From the others, I heard her execution will take place at 12 noon, thirty minutes from now. I was becoming scared, I could feel my legs shaking like it was I who will be executed.

” Avery? ” Victoria called me with a tap on my shoulder. “We’ve got clothes to spre-ad un-der the sun. ”

” Oh, yeah. That’s true. ”

We started spre-ading the washed clothes with the rest of the other girls. I bec@m£ more worried the more when I realized Becca also serves in the kitchen section. Oh no, I pray she is safe.

I pray no one will ever implicate her. I don’t think I can bear the thought of missing a lot of people in my head. My parents, Granny and Becca? No, I don’t think so.

We watched as they drag Eve out from nowhere, she looked like death itself as the girl had said. Half of her b©dy p@rt was bruised. As if she was bitten a million times by something extra ordinary.

She was shaking. She was shivering. Her eyes were filled with tears, rolling uncontrollably down her cheeks. This time she wasn’t pleading for her life like yesterday, seems she was re-ady for her death.

Oh, poor her…

They tied a long rope around her n£¢k, her hands tied ti-ghtly to her back. Her clothes were the definition of rags, the once beautiful lady yesterday had turned into a zombie-like lady today.

” This is really unfair. ” Victoria said pitifully. ” Why would someone in his right s-en-se try to wicked a fellow human? What kind of people were brou-ght here? I hate this place, I hate everything about this mansion. ”

” Not only the people, why would a woman like madam Dacia be so heartless to the core? A fellow woman, she would willingly want to execute just because of a stone? Who does that? ” I looked around, ” Someone among us is responsible for this. Someone with us. ”

Everyone’s faces wore an emotionless expression, ma-king it difficult for me to comprehend who it was that had implicated her.

” Today, we eliminate the disobe-dient one amongst us. Like I said yesterday, this is only but a warning to you all the new intakes. Next time, I won’t be as simple as today, the old intakes will un-derstand what I am saying. ”

” Go ahead. ” She ordered the guard in charge of the execution to have Eve hung immediately.

” Wait!” She cried, and Madam Dacia halted them. ” Before I die, I want to say this. ”

” Speak. ” She permitted.

” I don’t regret this, ” she spoke, ” I don’t regret the accusations. I only regret one thing, leaving home that night. I could have listened to my parents, I could have stayed indoor when they warned me. I don’t blame you for executing me, I don’t blame any of you! Just remember this Madam Dacia, I don’t fear you.

You will wish for one thing but you won’t get it. Yours might not be today but, one it will. Go ahead, kill me, I’m done living a $h!t hole life ruled un-der your reign. Kill me! What are you waiting for, kill me!! ”

” You heard her, go ahead. ” The place were she stood opened and there was no way she could struggle. On the other side, she didn’t waste her strength struggling.

Before she died, the last thing she did was to smile. And even as she died, those lifeless gaze was fixed to Madam Dacia.

I think she was scared that she had to return back to the mansion immediately. I looked at Eve’s now lifeless b©dy, a drop of blood stayed at the corner of her left eye. It didn’t roll out, it was stucked there.

Since I was a kid, I have heard many people die but I never saw their corpse. But now, I was looking at one for the first time in my life.

” Rest in Peace, Eve.” I turned, walking slowly behind the maids as we returned to our various duties.

I was feeling pressed so I could’nt go straight to the laundry room with Victoria. I went to the rest room, on returning, I overheard whispering voices from the toilet four rooms away from mine. I ti-p toed to listen to the conversation.

I ain’t a gossiper, don’t get me wrong. Who knows what they are up to this time?

” Did you see her face?” Said one of them, ” She was like, mommy save me, I’m scared. ” Causing the others to laugh.

” Honestly, I really pitied her. Poor Eve, she couldn’t say goodbye before she died. ” Said another.

” Who cares? Besides, she isn’t the only one who was taken without saying goodbye. Who knows if she will be thanking us in the spirit world. ”

” Why would you say that? ” The first speaker asked.

” She might probably be in heaven, who knows. You know, let her be a by gone. We should be thinking of how to come up with another plan. You heard madam Dacia say yesterday, she hates someone tampering with her meal. ”

” So, what do you suggest we do next? ”

” I’ll think about it. Whenever I come up with the new plan, I’ll let you two know. Very soon, Madam Dacia will be washing our feet. ”

One of them chuckled. ” And why would you think that will ever happen? ”

” Trust me, very soon, Madam Dacia will have to be the next. And then, just then, I will have The Master all to myself. ” She laughed evilly.

” I heard no one has ever seen The Master except The Mistress and Stella the chief maid. ”

” Have you forgotten I was brou-ght here a month ago? I once saw The Master two days before he travelled. I don’t want anyone to have him, not even that so-called Madam Dacia.

As soon as I win her trust, I will have that ton-gue she uses to make crazy rules out of her throat for good. It’s only a matter of time, then everything will be un-der my control. Everything. ”

I g@sped loud.

” Did you heard that?” One of them ask. “I think someone is evesdroping on us. ”

Luckily for me, before they could unlock the door to see who it was, I had made my way out of the toilet. I got to the end of the staircase which led to the laundry room, breathing as heavy as my lungs could accommod@t£.

” I knew it, I knew someone is behind Eve’s death. It’s only a matter of time, then everything will be revealed. ” I sm-irked.
