“Whitney?”

“Hmm?”

“What am I gonna do…if we meet again? He asked, slowly and Whitney’s face became blank.

“Can you answer me?” He whispered, breaking the cold silence.

“Stay with me” She only could say lowly, holding him, closer.

“I guess I’m gonna be a fool like Elsa” She thought remorsefully, remembering the Netflix movie she had watched last night.

Jayden smiled, and his eyes started closing.

“Jayden? What do you want? I’m gonna get you anything you want” She said.

He flashed a smile.

“Really?”

“Yes, just name it” She looked at his face.

“I want a digital camera” He said.

“Hmm? Is that what you really want?” She asked.

“Yes. I want it so that I can take lot of beautiful and clear pictures of us. What do you think?”

She giggled.

“You’re right. Don’t worry, I’ll get it”

“You sure? It quite expensive”

“You said you wanted it and I was even the one that asked. I ought to get it for you then”

“So, In 3 days time. You’re gonna say yes to me. And we are gonna date and act like true couples…I’ll take a sweet picture of that day”

“I can’t wait” She muttered.

“Do you know? 3 days from now clocks our fake relationship 50 days old?”

“Ohhh” Her eyes blinked.

“Why does time keep running so fast? I’m getting scared and pissed off already” He said.

“Even if our contract ends and it gets to the 100th day, its fine. I’m still gonna be with you. We can still be couples”

She looked at him sadly and gave a slight nod. Jayden smiled warmly at her.

“I wanna sleep” He whispered, his eyes shutting.

“Huh?”

“I couldn’t sleep last night. I kept thinking and thinking. I was so worried. I cried like a little baby as well. I was surprised when I saw it was 6am in the morning. Now, It’s 8am? Gosh,,, I really wanna sleep”

Whitney got up from him.

“Lay down” She instructed, softly and he obeyed. She covered him with the duvet and looked at him.

He was getting into slumber now. She smiled and pec-ked his forehead.

“Sleep. I’ll be right back” She muttered.

She quickly entered the bathroom and brushed her teeth. She also had her bath too. Afterwards, breakfast was brou-ght and they all ate to their stomach fill.

“Wait. Where are you off to?” Desmond asked, grabbing Whitney’s arm.

She was heading outside when he saw her.

She wore a red knitted cardigan over black leggings. She let her hair down and it splattered all over her shoulders.

“I’m going for a stroll” She replied.

“Whoa. Me too. See” He smiled, and she scanned the simple clothes he was wearing. A white shirt and denim trousers.

“Its a good thing then. Let’s go” She smiled and they walked out.

“Actually, I need your help. I don’t wanna only stroll. I wanna get a digital camera. A cool and nice one” She said.

“No problem. While strolling, we might see a good sto-re for that”

“Yeah”

“So, who do you plan to get this camera for?” Desmond asked.

Whitney looked at him and smiled.

“Jayden” She answered.

“Oh…I’m sure he would love it. But his birthday isn’t coming soon. I think its 20 days from now though”

“Nah, this isn’t a birthday present but thanks for telling me his birthday” She smiled.

Desmond nodded.

“Look” Desmond quickly held her hand. He felt sparks immediately. The touch was sending bu-tterflies into his stomach.

Whitney looked up and smiled when she saw the sto-re.

“Wow. Thanks Desmond. Let’s go” She said but he didn’t bulge.

“Desmond? Desmond??” She called but he was just staring intensely at her face.

“Desmond!! Are you alright??!” She asked, loudly and he got back to his senses.

“Huhnnn?” He muttered.

“Where was your mind? C’mon. Let’s go” She giggled and held his hand.

His heart skipped. As she pulled him into the sto-re, he kept staring at her, his heart was racing so fast.

“I can’t really help it, Whitney” He thought.

“Damn! Look how expensive it worth. I’ll practically lose my 6 month savings if I try to purchase this” She groa-ned, looking at the price tag.

The camera she was eyeing at was the most prettiest and worthy of them all.

However, it was freaking expensive.

“I really need this particularly one” She pouted.

Desmond looked at the camera and sighed.

“Then, you can get it” A lady walked from behind and they turned to see a beautiful lady dressed in an elegant suit. She had a small white scarf around her ne-ck.

“Welcome to golden sto-re outlet. You want the camera?” She was the head attendant of the sto-re.

“Yes, please. Are you gonna give me a really low ma-ssive discount?” Whitney cooed.

The attendant laughed.

“No, actually”

“Oh. Sorry, I don’t have the momey for…that. Its so expensive”

“Actually, you can get that for free

Desmond and Whitney exchanged glances with bulging eyes.

“What! Are you serious now?” Whitney asked.

“She got to be kidding” Desmond said.

“I’m not joking. All you need to do is to win the couple contest by buying the raffle ticket which costs 20 dollars only!. We’ve couples desiring to win this camera in the waiting room as we speak. Do you wanna be a part?”

“Wow” Whitney muttered.

“Excuse me. What do you mean by couple? I don’t get that part” Desmond chipped.

“Huh? Yes. Me too. What do you mean?” Whitney asked.

The attendant studied these two faces and ceased her brows, confusedly.

“Aren’t you two couples?” She queried.

NEE BEE’S DENTAL CARE**

“We thought you wouldn’t come. You’re an hour late. Anyways, please, follow me” The nurse smiled as Shannon strided behind her.

The nurse opened the door and they both entered. Shannon was asked to wear the hospital uniform and the white cap over her head.

She was also asked to lay on the dental chair.

She sat and laid her back comfortably. A long lamp was a standing over her face.

“I’ll inject the anesthetics now” The nurse said, cooly as she forwarded the syringe to Shannon’s ex-posed arm, after raising her sleeve.

“Wait, please…” Shannon whispered.

“What’s it?” The nurse asked.

Shannon inhaled de-eperly.
“When is he gonna come?” She asked.

“Who?” The nurse raised her brows, briefly.

“The doctor. Noel” She answered.

“Oh. The dentist isn’t around for now-

“Why! Why??”

“He traveled”

“Huh?…He…he didn’t even tell me. Well, It doesn’t matter. It’s not like we are even close” She rolled her eyes.

The nurse smiled, and carefully took the syringe once again to her skin but Shannon quickly grabbed her hand.

“Wait…”

“Hmpphh” The nurse sighed heavily.

“What’s it,,,, again??” She asked.

“Who’s gonna do the surgery on his stead?”

“His right hand . Don’t worry, He’s as good as him and he’s renowned too”

Shannon blinked her eyes.
“I can’t” She muttered and stood up.

“Excuse me?” The nurse asked, arching her brows.

“I said,,, I can’t… I can’t do this surgery anymore more”

“But…but why?”

“Call me when Noel comes back” She said, taking off the light blue uniform.

“I don’t know when he’s gonna come back”

“I’ll wait…till he comes”

The nurse sighed.
“Alright then. But i think it better yo do it now, your teeth cavity keeps on getting worst. Soon, it might affect another tooth”

Shannon ignored her advice.

“Where did he go to?…suddenly?” Her voice cracked.

“Nobody knows. He just dropped a message saying he would be out of town”

“No wonder. I…haven’t been seeing him lately” She thought, sadly.

“So…You don’t know where he went off too?” She asked.

“He never mentioned…” The nurse replied.

“Okay then. Please give me a call or send an email if he comes back”

“Alright”

Shannon left and as soon as she was outside, she held her aching jaw.

“I must be going bonkers. This hurts like crazy” She mo-aned.
