John heard a timid knock and he raised his eyes to the door shortly.

“Who’s that?” He asked.

“Its me” A reply came.

“Who?? Jayden?” John asked, having recognized his voice.

“Should I come in or not?”

“What are you doing here? Don’t wanna talk much. Just come in” John said and Jayden stepped in.

“Awesome!! He’s really the goat (greatest of all time)!!” John smiled, looking at the TV.

“Messi, eyy??” Jayden rushed to him.

“You gotta see the amazing sweet dribble he just performed. My eyes even dizzy for a second” John said and adjusted for Jayden who sat down.

Their eyes wide-ned at every second and their mouths would open wide now and then. It would also make low mutters and loud exclaims.

“What’s wrong with him?”

“Geez! C’mon!!”

“He was almost there!”

“Damn!”

“Yes!”

“Pa-ss the Fu-cking ball dude”

“Sh!t, he has been attacked!!”

“Why can’t this niggar defend the ball right??”

“What’s the referree doing??”

“Stop the ball, keeper!!”

They kept rambling about.

Finally, a goal was scored at the last minute and the team which they had been supporting won, with just a one score difference.

You got to hear the screams that filled the whole air from the lounge and even outside.

“Goal!!!!” Everyone screamed.

Some boys ran out, running like they was a mad event happening.

Soon, fireworks started displaying in the air.

“They must be crazy” Some girls muttered, watching the shirtless boys who scampered around the lounge filled exclaiming, as if they were the actual players.

“Bruhhhhhhh!!!” Jayden laughed, gloriously as he embraced John.

John embraced him back. They jumped, with broad smiles on their faces.

They suddenly got to their senses and disengaged from themselves.

“Hmm…Hmm” John cleared his throat, dramatically facing the opposite direction.

Jayden also faced the other direction. He scratched his head, awkwardly.

They were both nervous.

“So…” They both muttered and turned to face each other.

“Huh…You first” They said together, again causing another percent of awkwardness and nervousness

“It was really amazing. I thought they wouldn’t win. Gosh, my heart” Jayden quietly said.

“Swears!!. I didn’t know what else to think when I saw the disappointment on the players faces. I just prayed and hoped they didn’t lose” John smiled.

“They never gave up” Jayden said.

“Yeah” John nodded.

“So, I gotta go”

“Oh…sure. See you tomorrow”

“Yeah” Jayden smiled and John smiled back.

Jayden finally left and John tou-ched his che-st before throwing out a de-eper inhale.

“Sweet cake!! We won!” Jayden giggled and jumped in.

Whitney smiled and stood up from the sofa.

“Congratulations” She said.

He quickly surrounded his arms around her wai-st and swept her feet off the ground.

He swirled her around, jubilantly. She giggled, sweetiy.

Jayden stretched his ne-ck, and planted a quick kis-s on her li-ps.

“Hey…” She complained with a small smile.

“I’m sorry. I couldn’t hold in my happiness” He whispered, looking at her.

She smiled and threw her arms around his ne-ck.

“Are you that happy?” She whispered.

He nodded.

“Football sure makes a guy happy”

“But,,, I think I’m happy because of something else” He said.

She slowly went down and landed her feet gently on the floor.

“What are you happy about?” She asked.

Jayden walked closer and hug-ged her.

“John…We hug-ged each other and it felt so good. so warm. so lovely. so different. I was happy getting that feeling. It has been so long” He muttered.

She smiled.

“I un-derstand. Besides, he is kind of a brother to you since his father is also Ricardo” She said without thinking.

Jayden quickly broke the hug and faced her.

“What?” He asked.

She realized what she said and blinked her eyes, nervously.
“Huh?” She whispered.

“What did you just say?” He slowly took steps away from her.

“Jayden I-

“You knew?” He asked, with a shaky voice.

“But how. How did you know he’s Ricardo’s son?”

“I can explain” She whispered and tried walking to him but he was only walking back.

“Don’t…please. Don’t come close” He whispered and her legs halted, slowly.

“Since when? Since when did you find out? And…and how?” He asked.

Tears were soaking Whitney clear eyes already.

“I just managed to hear it. That day at the first party. That day I slapped you. I went out and heard you both talking”

A sad smile flashed on his face.
“So, now…I guess you know I’m not Ricardo son”

“I don’t care if you are his son or not. You’re still Jayden Jovel to me” She muttered.

“It was that same day and time I placed a bet on you, Whitney. Were you aware?”

“No. Maybe, I missed that part. What I just heard was you not being Ricardo’s real son. And John being his real son. I only heard the bet part throu-ghthe sent recording file i received from green shadow”

“Are you not curious how things ended to be like this? I… John…Ricardo? Aren’t you curious?” He whispered and a tear ran down his cheek.

“I don’t care…”

“Don’t be ridiculous, Whitney” He sniffed and turned to the door.

“Can you do me a favor?” He asked.

She was facing his back. Her eyes were still teary but the tears even refused to escape from her eyes.

“What’s that?” She asked.

“Please…I wanna…be alone. Can you leave me?” He asked, in a crying tone. written by sommy pearl f.

Whitney felt that. Even the tears which were hiding in, jumped down her eyes.

“Jayden…”

“Please” His voice sadly vibrated.

“Can…Can I stay here alone? For just tonight? I…need to clear my head” He whispered

Whitney looked down.

“Okay then. I’ll leave you alone for only tonight”

“Whitey?” He suddenly called after a short silence.

“I really want to hope you aren’t doing this relationship cause of this fact you found out” He said.

She shaked her head.

“No. I have a different reason entirely”

“Okay then” He sniffed.

It was indeed a happy night and a…. sad night as well.

Maureen opened the door and her eyes grew big after seeing Whitney behind to the door.

She was on her baggy polo shirt, holding the huge pillow close to her che-st.

“Guess who wanna sleep over??!” Maureen screamed.

Whitney laughed and walked in.

“Oh, I guess she suddenly reminisced about us. Thank God you finally remembered us though” Jade smiled.

“I’m sorry, guys” Whitney pouted and jumped on the bed, hugging Jade.

“It’s fine. I un-derstand you were all over Jayden. So, its totally alright”

Whitney for-ced a smile and broke the hug.

“She should go to her room!” Natalie suddenly barked.

“Oh! Just shut up!” Jade barked back and threw a pillow at her.

“You!!” Natalie snarled.

“What!” Jade snarled as well.

“What’s your problem, Natalie? You are making us really hate you” Maureen said.

“Its not like as if your likeness is gonna even pay my bills so keep it! I even prefer the hate!” Natalie said, with scorn.

“You’re really terrible” Maurren shrugged.

“What’s it exactly? What do you really want??” Jade asked, shaking her head.

Natalie pointed at Whitney who was still on the bed with Jade.

“Her. I don’t want her here. I want her to leave” Natalie said, flatly.

“What to do?” Jade scoffed.
“Cause, she ain’t gonna Fu-cking leave this room” She further stated.

“Why do you want me to leave so badly? It not like as if you even paid for this room” Whitney said with an eye roll.

“I’m even talking about the bed. Its not for 4. 3 of us are tryna manage it here, hello!!”

Whitney looked around and sighed.

Looking at Jade, she spoke;
“I think she’s right. I…I gotta go”

“Wait” Jade quickly held her hand.

Whitney looked at her.

“And who said they can only sleep on a bed?” Jade smiled, warmly which caused Whitney to smile too.

Whitney and Jade giggled as they stared at their faces. They were on the mattress they had spread out on the floor.

“So, What later happened?” Jade asked.

Apparently, Whitney was telling Jade the story line of the interesting netflix, she watched an hour ago.

“Kate didn’t get the guy. Too bad. I really felt for her. I think Kate deserves him better” Whitney said.

She continued.

“I mean, Kate and Henry were both each other first love. And the fact that they loved each other crazily during the childhood days is so enough for Henry to choose Kate

“He chose Elsa instead. The second girl he met afterwards. Well, its fine though. But it hurts. I mean, he promised Kate and gave her a-ssurance”

“He made Kate wait and she had to decline all the good guys that came her way. Hmm. I’m glad its just a fictional movie though cause I don’t think it can’t happen in real life”

Jade blinked her eyes.

“And what if it does?” She asked in a whisper.

“Gosh. I will murder the guy. He should better go to his first love. I won’t even take Henry if I was Elsa. I would just ask Henry to go back to Kate and give her the love she deserves. The love he promised her. Elsa is a fool” Whitney said, bluntly

Jade chuckled.

“Why are you laughing? Am I not right?”

Jade nodded.

“You’re right”

“Jade?” Whitney whispered, after looking around.

Jade shifted closer.

“What’s up?” She whispered back.

“I confronted Natalie that day” Whitney cooed.

“That day? What day?” Jade asked.

Whitney gulped.

“That day of the acid accident. I confronted her and guess what?”

Jade blinked her eyes.
“What?” She asked lowly and calmly.

“Natalie…told me ‘green shadow’ made her do it”

Jade felt her heart leap.
“Whh..aat?” She couldn’t help but stutter.

“You gotta believe me” Whitney said

Jade inhaled.

“Why…why didn’t you tell me since??” Her voice nearly got a bit loud than usual.

“Huh? I’m sorry but…but It kinda skipped my mind. Anyways, it happened that…Green shadow delivered the acid to her lounge by the door and dropped a letter there. Green shadow told her to pour that acid on me and threatened to harm and ruin Natalie with acid if she fails her task. I plan to catch that green shadow. Gosh, I nearly believed Natalie was even the green shadow. Hmm, I ought to think outside the box now”

“I’m sleepy!” Jade suddenly gasped..

“Eh?”

“Can I please just sleep?” She asked with a disturb eye stare.

“Oh…Okay then. Sleep ti-ght. Sweet dreams” Whitney said.

Jade turned around without replying.

Whitney wondered what went wrong. Her behavior took a sudden U-turn.

Jade’s eyes were blazing red. She clenched her fist and bit her li-p in angst.

“You have no fear, Natalie. Why would you show her that letter? Are you dumb??” She thought, loudly.

“Don’t worry, I know how to handle you” She whispered and a devilish smile crawled across her li-ps.

THE NEXT MORNING**

Whitney placed a gentle knock on the door.

“Enter” She heard a soft voice.

She swallowed hard, nervously and turned the knob.

She met Jayden standing.

“Jayden-

“I’m sorry” He whispered, cooly and quickly hug-ged her. She sadly sighed and embaraced him back.

“I’m sorry for asking you to leave yesterday. I just didn’t want you to see me cry. I bawled my eyes out, when I recalled my past. I’m sorry for sending you out like that. I just…I’m sorry” He started crying again.

“No. Its fine, seriously. You deserved the space last night” She said.

“You might be a baddie. But a baddie with a soft heart” She whispered with a smile, ru-bbing his back as he ti-ghened the hug.

He finally let her free and they stared at each other. She tou-ched the sides of his face with her both hands and wiped his tears away.

“I wanna tell you everything” He suddenly said.

She looked de-eperly into his eyes.

“What?” She murmured.

He held her hands and took it down.

“Everything. My past” He said, and led her to the bed. He sat down on it and drew her body to himself.

He made her sit on his thigh and she turned her face to him.

“Promise me you won’t let me go. Promise you will stay with me. Promise me you’ll accept my heart after this remaining 3 days” He said, encircling his arm around her wai-st.

“I promise” She was reluctant to answer at first.

“Fu-ck that 100 days” He muttered, sadly.

She only sighed de-eperly. It was a 100% a-ssurance that she was gonna leave after it clocks 100 days.

“Whitney?” He held her close.

“Hmm?” She hummed, lowly brushing her thoughts aside.

“This is my story…”
