First kiss with a bad boy - S01 E65

∆ TWO YEARS LATER ∆

Students could be seen in their graduation uniform, taking pictures with their parents or their friends.

All doing things a graduate do on the final day of school.

Amidst it all was Mirabel and Alice, after sending home their parents who had come to wish them well.

They both went back into the school, heading to one place in particular.

“Doesn’t this sound strange to you?” Mirabel asked.

“What? ”

“Them asking us to come the lounge” Mirabel replied.

“Maybe they wanna surprise us, I love surprises” Alice said in excitement.

They got to the lounge and just as Alice predicted, there was a surprise waiting for them.

“Congratulation on your graduation” the boys yelled even as their respective boyfriends, Pierce and Nicholas gave them a bouquet of flower while the others wished them.

“If I hadn’t failed that course, I would also be graduating with you guys” Jocelyn said pouting slightly.

“And that’s why I also failed a course, so we can both graduate together” Kylie muttered behind her and feeling touched Jocelyn kis-sed him.

After months of ignoring Jocelyn,Kylie gave in eventually and they began dating which led to a romance of a lift time.

“And that’s something to be proud of” Alice said hitting Kylie on the arm.

“Well I actually think it is a good thing, you failing a course just so you can be with the one you love, isn’t that just sweet?” Theo asked Evelyn who was in his arms.

“It isn’t , I won’t ever repeat a year for you” Evelyn said jokingly.

“I know and you won’t get to repeat a year cause we are done already ” Theo said triumphantly which got them all laughing.

Theo, Nicholas, Pierce and Francis all graduated last year and everyone of them are all in their place of work.

With Nicholas, Francis and Theo taking over their father company, Pierce is in charge of the clothing company the four of them created.

“Okay enough with the chit chat! Let’s go and eat” Nicholas said.

“You and your eating habit, you just won’t change” Mirabel said cheerfully.

“I won’t and besides you love me that way” Nicholas replied as they all sat down to do justice to the food.

And a while later when they had finish eating, they lingered together all reminiscing about the past.

“This day would have been more great if Joanna and Francis had been here” Mirabel muttered wistfully.

“It would have” Jocelyn echoed while everyone had a sad expression on their face.

“But come to think of it, Joanna couldn’t make it because of what is going on but Francis, what’s keeping him from not showing up?” Alice asked.

“Ever since he took over from his father last year, Francis has been busy. It’s ha-rd trying to catch a glimpse of him” Pierce said.

“I saw him a few days ago while working as an intern and he was all black in dressing and a bit scary” Evelyn said.

“What do you mean by scary?” Theo asked.

“He looked cold and indifferent, he isn’t the same Francis we all knew” Evelyn stated.

“Common! He has just been busy with the company” Nicholas rebuff slightly.

“You all are busy with your work but that doesn’t keep you from socializing but Francis has kept away from us all, I doubt that he goes to see Joanna” Alice said crisply.

“You know, I went to check on Joanna a few days ago and I was told that apart from us and her parents, no one else comes to visit” Mirabel admitted.

“See! Francis is a cold guy now, Evelyn is right” Alice stated.

“You girls should calm down! We don’t know things fully, so let’s not jump to conclusion” Pierce said which got Alice glaring at him.

“Okay every one! I know of a way for us to confirm if Francis is cold and indifferent as Evelyn put it” Nicholas said suddenly.

“How do you plan on doing that?” Theo asked…..

∆ SAINT LUKE HOSPITAL ∆

Two cars halt in front of the hospital and before his guards could come to open the door, Francis got out of his car running into the hospital.

He got to the nurse desk looking desperate.

“Where the hell is the doctor?” He asked looking furious.

“There are a lot of doctors here, you’ve got to be more specific on…..”

“To hell with being specific! Just tell me where the doctor is….. Never mind,I will find him myself” Francis said before marching in.

He got into the elevator and re- read the text he got from the hospital.

★ THIS IS TO INFORM YOU THAT WE WILL BE TAKEN OFF THE PATIENT LIFE SUPPORT, IT’S TIME FOR HER TO REST★

On reading it again, Francis felt desperate and as soon as the elevator door slid open, he ran out of it ruining the perfect image of the Ceo which everyone knew him as.

He got walk into a ward and saw the doctor in there.

“Don’t you dare take off her life support” Francis yelled moving towards the bed which had the unconscious Joanna in it.

“Mr Edgar we are…..” The doctor didn’t get to complete his sentence because Francis pulled him by his collar.

“Just because she hasn’t waken up for two years doesn’t mean she won’t wake, if you don’t want to see me go crazy then don’t you dare take off her life support” Francis warned.

“See! I told you guys that he’s still the same old Francis we know” Nicholas said suddenly which got Francis turning only to see his friends there.

“Hello Francis” Alice greeted with a smile.

“What is happening?” Francis asked.

“Well the thing is that we wanted to know if you’ve become cold hearted and indifferent to everyone and everything including Joanna and so we made this little plot” Pierce said.

“Are you guys mad!” Francis barked at them.

“Well we are sorry for doing that but we just had to know If you’ve become cold just as Evelyn said” Theo said just as the doctor excused them and left.

“You all got me worried, I thought…..I thought….” Francis let his voice trail off as he stared at Joanna who had been in a coma for the past two years without a sign of ever waking up.

“She’s going to wake up” Pierce said as he came to stand beside him.

“Joanna is a fighter and she will come back to us” Evelyn added.

“If you aren’t the cold and indifferent guy we thought you to be then why on earth do you socialize, we hardly know anything about you except we watch the news” Mirabel said.

“Recently there’s been a deal am handling and it’s got me preoccupied. Am sorry I couldn’t make it to your graduation ceremony” Francis apologised.

“It’s no problem. Just as long as you are still the Francis we all know then it’s fine” Alice said.

Just then the door open and a small looking nurse came in.

“Oh! You came during the day, did you change your nights visit to day time?” The nurse asked Francis.

“Uh, some thing happen and that’s why am here ” he replied.

After doing her task she left which got every one starring at him.

“Do you come here during the night time?” Alice asked and he nodded.

“It’s the only spare time have got in being with her” Francis said remembering all the nights he’s spent in Joanna’s room.

Everyone felt relieved after hearing his last statement.

“Let’s give them some time alone” Pierce said as they all left the room leaving Joanna and Francis alone.

Francis sat on the chair which was beside the bed and taking hold of Joanna’s hand, he pressed it to his li-ps.

“Am here again, though I came a little bit early” he began.

“The sun is pretty it’s a shame that you aren’t up to see it. You know I still hear people thoughts but your thought is what I long to listen to. So when….when are you going to come back to me, have missed you” he said trying to hold back his tears.

“Have missed your lovely voice, your smile, your teasing, your hugs. Am starting to forget it all so wake up soon, wake up Joanna” he added even as tears slid down his face.

He was still crying and that didn’t let him notice Joanna fingers moving slightly, neither did he notice that her breathing had changed.

Francis wipe off his tears and stood up to leave but stopped when he saw Joanna awake and she was starring at him.

“Joanna!” He called, moving towards her to confirm if she really is awake cause he’s spent the whole of two years thinking about this moment.

She blink twice making it clear to him that she is wide awake.

“Doctor! Doctor!” Francis yelled leaving the ward with a smile on his face.

∆ FEW MONTHS LATER ∆

Joanna stood in front of the mirror starring at herself in the mirror.

If someone had told her that she will be getting married just six months after woke up from her coma, she might have called them crazy but here she is, sheathe in her wedding dress and just waiting for her father to arrive so he can take her to church to meet her man, her Francis.

It’s been three years since she got stabbed, two years sli-pped by with her in a coma.

A lot of things had happened, things which every one told her not leaving out a little detail.

Her parents and everyone had been saddened by her comatose state but none of them ever gave up on her.

They knew she would wake up which she did a year ago.

After getting out of the hospital a month later, she went back to her old life though she was a bit sad that her friends are all out of university but that gave her a chance to meet new people.

And she felt proud each time Francis left work just to come pick her.

Though every one had things to do they still gathered together during the weekends to spend time together and it was during one of the weekend that Francis proposed to her.

It had been a magical day for her and today will also be a magical day, she thought just as the door open revealing her father.

“You look beautiful ” Gregory said starring down at her.

“What do you expect, am your daughter after all” she replied smiling brightly.

“Give me a hug” he commanded and she willfully went into his arms.

“You have no idea what those two years did to me” he muttered softly.

“I don’t and that’s why I will make up for it by always cuddling you close for eternity” she said even as he pulled back to stare down at her.

“Well I don’t mind the cuddling but the eternity, I think your husband to be will be jealous” Gregory said jokingly which got her laughing.

“Am sorry to break the father and daughter moment but if we don’t leave now, we will make Francis more agitated. You see he’s been feeling worried, a little info from Pierce” Alice said as she stood by the door way.

“Then we better go and calm his nerves” Joanna said as her father led her outside .

The church wasn’t that far from the hotel where she stayed for the night.

When the church door open, she walk down the aisle towards her man, her man whose gaze was solely on her.

She couldn’t help but to look away, sending a smile to their friends.

Kylie and Jocelyn, Nicholas and Mirabel, Theo and Evelyn, her mother and Francis parents.

On getting to the aisle, she sent a smile to Pierce who winked at her in return before starring at Francis.

“What am I going to do?” He muttered softly while she gave him a questioning look.

“My heart is about to burst out of happiness” he added which got her chuckling.

Soon the judge proceeded with the service and a while later the two were married.

“Shall we Mrs Edgar?” Francis asked stretching fourth his hand.

“Yes, my lovely husband” Joanna replied taking hold of his hand even as they both walk down the aisle.

∆ HONEY MOON ~HOTEL ∆

“The after-party was awesome” Joanna said as she stood in the hotel balcony in Francis arms.

“It was but the wedding night will be more awesome” he said and lifted her into his arms.

“You bad boy ” she said teasingly even as he lay her on the bed.

“What? Have been waiting for a whole three years, so cut me some slack” he said untying her robe.

“Anything for you my dearest husband” she said pulling him down to kis-s her.

“I love you Joanna, you have no idea how much I do”

“Same here ” she replied starring at her husband.

“No more being apart again, it almost drove me nuts” he murmured even as he gave her love bites.

“No more” she said enjoying his love bites.

“And no more foreplay” He added moving back to stare down at her.

“Granny isn’t here and so no more foreplay, this time it will be you and I on this bed, skin to skin ” she whispered which got him laughing.

“As much I love you talking Mrs Edgar, I wanna get down to business” he said.

“Then do, do Mr Edgar ” she ordered which he did immediately.
