Liam’s POV

Aubrey is really mad at me now, what do I do?

I’m not supposed to care but …… Okay, maybe I’m just pretending so the plan will work.

Yeah that’s it, nothing more. Besides, I should be happy my plan is finally working because it’s obvious she’s falling in love with me already.

Soon enough, I will win the bet as usual but this time, I will be the riche-st teenager in the country because the money placed on the bet is really huge.

“So… You are making a move already?” Jayden asked

“Yeah…. ” I drawed

“Okay. I should probably start mine too” Jayden said

“Okay, good luck” I said and left them

Aubrey’s POV

I kind of felt bad when I turned down Liam’s offer of having lunch together but I also have no choice.

If I don’t listen to Samantha and something bad happens in the end, I will blame myself so I think what I did was better.

After lunch, we went back to cla-ss as usual and took the remaining lectures we had.

“Aubrey please let’s drop you at home today” Khloe said pleadingly

“You guys shouldn’t worry, I will be fine” I said smiling at them

“Yeah, we know you will be fine but we just want to help as friends, please…” Natalie added

“I’m sorry guys, maybe some other time”

“Alright then. Bye” and with that they left

Sooner or later, I will have no choice but to allow them give me a ride. I know Samantha will tell me what to do, she’s always there for me.

I got into a cab and went home.

Min Ju’s POV

After getting home, I took a cool shower and thought about Mary’s offer. Right now, I have no choice but to accept her deal except if I want to forfeit my plans and I can’t do that.

I have to teach Khloe a big lesson but at the same time, I’m also going to teach Mary a lesson she will never forget so she will learn not to ever mess with me.

I dialed her number after making my decision.

“I accept the deal. So when should I be expecting it?”

“Weekend” she replied

“Alright” I said and ended the call

She’s going to regret ever bi-ting more than she can chew.

Khloe’s POV

I think I’m going to agree with Natalie that there is something Aubrey is hiding and I think it’s a really huge secret.

If she’s not hiding anything, why won’t she want us as her friends to know her house? It’s suspicious and ridiculous!

I will have to look for the best detective around. I know it probably isn’t right for me to investigate things about her but I’m left with no other option.

I have to know who my friend is, where she comes from and her family members.

Who knows if she’s a trained a-ssa-ssin sent to kill I or Natalie? Although, Aubrey doesn’t look like someone that will do that but I still have to be careful.

I don’t want to trust anyone for now.

At home

When I got home, I wanted to go inside my room but my eyes met with that of Mary and she looked kind of suspicious.

I’ve never liked this girl ever since she came here and my instinct are not usually wrong about people.

If my instinct is telling me she’s bad, then it means she’s really bad but how?

I’ve never caught her doing a bad thing and she doesn’t cook for us so there’s no way she can try to poison us because she won’t even be allowed to go close to the kitchen.

Am I over thinking things or is she really not to be trusted?

My head is spinning already. I will just shower and take a nap first.

Samantha’s POV

When I saw Aubrey looking like a soaked puppy, I knew something was wrong.

“Welcome Aubrey” I greeted her trying to sound cheerful so I can brighten her mood a little but it looks like it didn’t work.

“Thanks” she said and went to her room

When exactly will she stop this attitude of hers?

I also followed her to her room and I met her sitting on the bed staring at nothing in particular.

When she noticed I was at the door, she took her eyes to her bag and started bringing out her books probably so she can do her a-ssignment.

I walked up to her and held her hands preventing her from bringing out any other book.

She wasn’t even concentrating on what she was doing. She brou-ght out almost all her books without even knowing and I know she doesn’t even have up to five a-ssignment.

“What’s wrong Aubrey?” I asked concerned

“It’s nothing, I’m fine” she said and tried taking her hands from me but I wasn’t ready to let go

“Look me in the eyes Aubrey and tell me you are fine”

I know she won’t be able to look me in the eyes if something is really wrong with her.

She tilted her head towards me but she couldn’t meet my gaze, something is definitely wrong.

“Spill it” I said

“There’s nothing to spill”

“Ohh, there is” I taunted

“Fine then. I can’t ignore Liam like you asked me to, I miss him” she said with her li-ps pouted while I just stared at her like she has gone crazy

“So you’re trying to say it’s because of Liam that you’ve been acting moody or what? I don’t get” I said to her with confusion clearly written on my face

“Yes” she answered

“Really? Do you love him that much?” I asked and I saw her cheeks flushed

“I don’t love him. He’s the only male friend I have so you can’t blame me for missing him”

“I get your point but still, I’m your best friend. We’ve been friends since childhood so I know you like the back of my palm.

Believe me when I say you are in love with Liam” I said with a wink while she just rolled her eyes

“Suit yourself. That reminds me, Khloe and Natalie have been saying they want to give me a ride home and I know I can’t turn them down forever. What do I do?”

“Why didn’t you tell me before?”

“Well, I thought they will stop if I decline about two to three times but it doesn’t seem like they will ever stop.”

“Okay….. there’s only one thing I can think of now but I know you won’t like it. Maybe you should give me time to figure something out”

“No, just tell me now. What if they decide to secretly follow me home tomorrow?”

“Your guards will take care of that but I will still tell you if that’s what you want.

You will bring them to my house and tell them you work as a maid for me. I might treat you badly so they will pity you and they also won’t suspect a thing.” I concluded

“The idea is crazy but I guess I have no choice. Thanks Sam”
