Natalie opened the door and looked at Clark who was on the floor.

He had one of his knee raised and that was were he placed his sad face.

“What did you tell Jayden?” She asked.

Clark raised his head and looked at her with a small smile.

“Wasn’t that what you wanted? I’m gonna confess to him…that I was the guy who kis-sed you”

“Clark?” She muttered, sadly with tears flowing freely from her eyes.

He stood up, facing her.
“Why? You don’t want that? I’m gonna do it anyways. Don’t stop me”

“No,,, I just wanna thank you” She said and Clark blinked and gulped, looking at her blankly.

“Clark? What’s it?” Jayden’s voice came from behind.

Clark sighed and turned. Natalie for-ced a sincere smile but she frowned when she saw Whitney coming with him.

“So,, What did you wanna talk about?” Jayden asked, and stopped in front of him. He gave Natalie a quick glance.

“Yes? You said you had something to confess. What’s it?” Jayden asked again, breaking the silence between them.

“Actually…I…I was the one” Clark whispered.

“The one? What do you mean?”

“The one who kis-sed Natalie!” He said quickly and closed his eyes, ti-ghtly.

Jayden blinked fast, not believing his ears.

“Pardon?”

“That day, I ran to catch up with her at the airport. I saw a torn letter on the floor which she wanted to give you. It had the content of her reasons of breaking up with you and her expression of love to you”

“Using the little piece I saw around, I noticed she was going to the airport so I ran there and saw her. I begged her not to leave, and kis-sed her…Who would have known someone took a picture of us”

“Wait? Why would you kis-s Natalie then? You knew she was my girlfriend then, right?”

“I’m sorry. besides, you guys had ended things already and I couldn’t hold my heart anymore. I liked her then, Jayden”

“Keep shut! Desmond! You! Natalie?! I…I’m confused. I don’t know who to trust anymore” Jayden scattered his hair, shaking his head.

“Jayden?” Whitney muttered.

“And how do i know you’re any different?” He asked.

“What?” She blinked her eyes.

He came closer to her. His eyes were misty already.

“What your main purpose of dating me despite knowing I placed a bet on you?? Huh??…What do you want from me?” He cooed, angrily.

Whitney looked at him de-eperly and said nothing.

Jayden sighed de-eperly and left them without a word. They saw his gaze though. It was harsh and cold enough to cut a gra-ss.

Natalie sighed and tou-ched the door knob.

“Natalie?” Clark muttered.

“Its over. please, just go” She said.

“Can we just-

“Later, Clark. Let’s talk later” She interrupted.

He sighed and nodded before leaving her.

Natalie turned to see Whitney still there.

“And why aren’t you leaving?”

“We need to talk” Whitney said.

“Guess what? I don’t wanna talk to you”

“There’s a station next by, right? I’m just gonna go file a compliant. A fellow student who tried to harm me with acid? What do you think about a court room? Nice, right?”

“What did you want?” Natalie glared at her.

“Now, you’re talking” Whitney smiled and entered the room. written by sommy pearl f..

“What do you think you’re doing right now! Let’s talk outside” Natalie shouted.

“No, let’s talk in here” Whitney said and sat down on her bed.

Natalie inhaled de-eperly and stood in front of Whitney, her arms folded against her che-st.

“Make it brief…” She said.

“Who sent you?” Whitney asked.

“Excuse me?”

“I thought you asked me to make it brief. So, who sent you to me?? Who gave you the audacity to pour some Fu-cking acid on me?”

Natalie swallowed ha-rd and slowly sat down on the chair.

“Yesterday night,,when I was about going to sleep, I heard a knock” She whispered.

“So?”

“I went to the door and opened it to see a present close to my door. I quickly brou-ght it in and unwrapped it. I saw a small letter and a container filled with acid”

“What did the letter say? Lemme see it first. I mean the letter”

Natalie opened the drawer and took out the letter.

She handed to Whitney who started reading it right away.

*I KNOW YOU STILL LOVE JAYDEN BUT WITH WHITNEY STANDING IN THE WAY, YOU CAN’T HAVE HIM. THEREFORE, YOU HAVE TO ELIMINATE HER. JAYDEN DOESN’T LIKE UGLY FACES. PUT HER WHERE SHE BELONGS BY SPILLING THIS ACID ON HER. IT WILL BURN AND PEEL HER FACE IN A COUPLE OF MINUTES.

ONLY TILL YOU DO THAT, THEN JAYDEN WON’T BE YOURS AND IF YOU DON’T STOP HER, I’LL COME FOR YOU WHEN YOU AREN’T AWARE AND MAKE YOU UGLY INSTEAD.

“Green shadow?” Whitney heart skipped.

“I had no choice and I’m not still sorry for what I did” Natalie said curtly.

“I’m leaving that room. I’m going to my own special room” Jayden said inwardly and opened the door.

He met Desmond looking throu-ghthe window. Jayden studied his back for a while and clenched his fist ti-ghtly.

“Found you, green shadow!” He ranted and Desmond slowly turned his head around.
