It was 7am in the morning….

Irene was still slee-ping. Even young Zoe was re-ady for school.

Josie barged into Irene’s room and saw her slee-ping.

“Arrrghhh..Irene!!” Josie shouted from the door where she stood.

Irene turned consciously.

“Hmmm” she muttered.

“It’s alre-ady 7 in the morning…” Josie said.

“Yeah 7 in the morning….wait what!!!!!” Irene sprung up from her be-d and stare at the clock.

“Holy sh*t…”

Josie laughed and went back to her room.

In no time,she was dressed in a casual wear.

She quic-kly drop Zoe in her new school. It took a lot of time because she was a new student and on scholarsh!p.

At last…they were done. Zoe was given her uniform and books.

Irene bid her goodbye and left.

Irene stood beside the road waiting for a cab.

She flagged every car that drove pas-s her.

She was feeling exhausted till a car parked beside her.

The driver lower the glas-s, before he could speak up.

“The Royal palace plea-se…” Irene said and jumped into the car.

The driver kept mute and drove off.

“Can you drive a little fas-ter plea-se? I may lose my job if you continue driving slow” Irene said wiping off the sweat on her forehead.

The driver stared at her throu-gh the mirror and smiled.

In 15 minutes time…they got to the palace.

“You can drop me here” Irene said as she searched throu-gh her purse.

But instead the driver honked at the palace guards to open the door.

“No…you don’t have to go in” Irene whispered.

The guards bowed as the car drove into the palace.

Suddenly, the car st©pped.

Irene stepped outside and handed the driver his fare for the service.

Then the driver c@m£ out of the car instead.

“What are you doing? You should go out of here now” Irene whispered as she moved closer to his ear.

“Good morning my prince, welcome back” the palace Butler bowed.

Irene eyes wi-de-ned as she heard that word ‘my prince’.

Her heart started beating fast.

The words she said to him earlier flew throu-gh her mind.

“Oh my world, the…the prince was my driver…” Irene thought.

Irene bowed “good morning my prince..”

“I’m so sorry my prince. I didn’t know that you ..I mean I didn’t even… plea-se forgive me my prince” Irene said without st©pping.

“Guards…” Prince Leo shouted.

“My prince… plea-se forgive me” Irene fell her knees.

Two guards c@m£ running towards them.

“Yes my prince…”

“Get this young lady a glas-s of water” Prince Leo said and went inside.

“Thank you my prince… thank you so much” Irene shouted as Leo entered into the palace.

Irene finally met the queen and started working.

She started to mingle with other palace maid who told her some things about the palace.

As Irene and other maids went to do some laundry.

Irene remembered the gardener.

“What of the palace gardener? Will he be here today?” Irene asked.

“There is no such thing as palace gardener” one of the maid replied.

“Hmmm…” Irene said.

Irene was told to clean the princes rooms.

As she went upstairs to start cleaning she murmured.

“I mean…I just got here. Why will I be the one to clean the princes room?”

She knocked the first room.

A palace maid stepped out.

“I was told to clean this room..” Irene said

“Not this room, maybe the other rooms” the maid said and shut the door.

“So rude…” Irene said and walked towards the other room with the mop bucket.

She knocked the door of the other room.

Then a prince stepped out.

“Good day my prince, I was told to….”

“Come in” Prince Tony interrupted her.

Irene started cleaning the room.

She stared at every corner of the room.

“This is times ten of my own room” she thought.

After some time, she was done.

She moved to the next room.

She knocked the door slowly.

There wasn’t any response.

Then another handsome prince stepped out of the room.

“How can I help you beauty?” Prince Casper asked.

“Good day my prince, I was asked to clean your room” Irene said.

“Sure come in”

Irene walked into the room with her mop and bucket.

“Holy Molly, this room is…wow” Irene thought.

The room was filled with pictures of nûd£ ladies.

As Irene bent to clean the floor.

Prince Casper walked pas-s her and sat opposite her.

“So…are you new here?” He asked.

“Yes my prince” Irene replied staring at the floor.

“Nice… because I know every maid in this palace and I’ve sle-pt with them actually…well, except you my love” Casper said.

Irene wasn’t paying attention to him. She continued cleaning.

At last, she was done. She stood up and carried her bucket.

“Where are you off to?” Casper asked.

“I have other work to attend to” Irene said and walked towards the door.

“With the power confide in me, I command you to st©p” Casper ordered.

Irene sm-irked an went out of the room.

“Did she just leave..? She doesn’t know who I am” Casper said to himself.

Irene quic-kly got out of that room. She t©uçhed her che-st, her heart was beating fast.

“Where the fv¢k did i get such courage to behave like that?”

Irene walked tiredlessly towards the next room.

She knocked at the door.

As she wanted to knock again, the mop stick fell down.

She bent to pick it up.

That was when the door opened.

“How can I help you?”

Irene heard the voice and got up.

Without looking at the person, she bowed.

“Good day my prince” Irene greeted.

She then raised her head.

Hold and behold, he was the man she called the gardener.

“What are you doing here?” Irene asked.

Garrett wanted to close the door at her face but she held the door.

“I was asked to clean the prince room” Irene said and barged into the room.

Garrett stood watching her.

Irene cleaned the floor. When she wanted to clean his re-ading table.

She was a picture of him and his other brothers.

Irene held the picture in her hands.

She turned to look at prince Garrett.

“I’m so gonna lose this job”

Irene thought.
