The next morning when I woke up ,she was fast asleep on the bed .

My eyes trailed her preety legs as she Cuddled close to her pillow.

I ignored her state and went into the bathroom to do my business.

When I walked out again ,she was already awake and sitted on the bed in her white bathing robe .

She looked suprised to see I was still in the room as she stared at the floor In guilt .

” Good morning treasure ” She muttered under her breath as my heart warmed up .

” Scar is in the mansion ,I will advise you stay indoors for a while before going downstairs” I said as I wore my wrist watch .

” Why ? She asked in confusion.

” I have a very active sex life when I’m in a relationship,it’s preety obvious if we are real there are some days I’ll be leaving you too tired to wake up early” I said and an image of her under me as i pounded into her entered my mind making me sigh .

Her cheeks heated in a blush , probably from thinking about what I just said .

‘” When do I start working ? She asked nervously as I knot my tie .

” After the end of this month ,I’ll make sure everything is in order ” I said and she gave a nod .

” Okay I understand ‘” She said and I walked out of the room with my suitcase .

Immediately I walked out mom looked relieved to see me .

” Figlio {Son } ” she said hugging me close .

” Madre ”

” I’m sorry about yesterday ,I caused a scene at the party ” I said kissing her forehead.

” It’s okay figlio ,I understand how annoying your father and his mistress can get ,but even if they pull down heaven and Earth ,I won’t divorce him ..I won’t give him the satisfaction of getting married to another woman ” she spat angrily.

That’s my mom for you ,she might be a soft hearted and kind person by you don’t want to meet her ruthless side.

” I spoke to Erduardo this morning ..” she trailed .

” Erduardo , Seriosely Madre ? He joined forces in ruining your birthday party yesterday ! ” I said in disbelief.

” You and Erduardo have your issues considering the issues in the past with Layla but that doesn’t mean I should disregard the fact that he listens to me ..he respects me ” she said and I raised my eyebrows.

” Madre Erduardo is up to no good , if he respects you that much he should have kept his mom at home ”

” He didn’t bring her to the party son , sabastiano did ” she said camly .

” Erduardo fought with you because you said things about his mom in a fit of rage , something you would have done if the tables where turned ”

” I’m not trying to appeal for peace between the both of you ,I will just like you to be civil with him next time . It’s not a good front to the public that you two fight like that , you are both from the loins of Sebastiano and the Delagdo name is to be protected” she said and I pinched the bridge of my nose in frustration.

” How is Imani ? She asked in concern .

” She’s still asleep ” I said and she Chuckled teasingly.

” You obviously didn’t let the poor girl sleep last night , you naughty boy ” Scar teased and mom laughed.

” I will talk to the both of you later ” mom said and kissed our cheeks before leaving.

” Before I forget , Padre and the familia have a meeting at the Light house this afternoon don’t miss it ” scar said as she gave me a pleading look .

” Why are we suddenly coming back to this topic ?” I asked.

” Don’t be ridiculous Leonardo,you know how Padre can be . No one is asking you to join the familia . He understands that we can’t be a part of it anymore and respects that fact as he as let you handle the legal aspects of his business ,the least you can do is attend the meetings of the familia.

Remember he is trying to set you up with Abigail ? I have heard he intends to make Erduardo the overall CEO of the Delgado Empire . ” She said and I stared at her face.

” Erduardo ? What other nonsense is he trying to prove ? Because I do not get his point for wanting to make Erduardo Ceo of Ceos it is a stupid idea because his son is only good at the dirty business and the underground business .” I said and pinched the bridge of my nose .

That’s why I liked to stay in Capetown , coming to Costa Rica reminds me of the complicated life I have being a Delgado.

And I just pray and hoped I have not dragged Imani into this whole madness.

” I will attend” I said and scar looked very relieved to hear that .

” Be of good conduct ” she said and I stopped on my tracks .

” Fine ,I know you won’t do anything out of character ,but I fear your reaction to Erduardo . Anytime you guys meet it’s like you want to suck life out of each other” she said and I looked away.

” Things wouldn’t have been like this if he was genuine in his feelings for me as a brother ,I don’t want anything to do with Erduardo” i said and walked out of the mansion angrily.

Work at the office in the morning ,had to do with meeting a few clients .

” Sir what about miss Imani ? Jeff asked as he helped me pick up my working pad from the table.

” What is your business with my girlfriend ? I asked and he opened and closed his mouth like a fish.

” Nothing Sir ” he said immediately.

” Are you perhaps interested in her ? I asked staring at him lazily .

” Jesus ! Sir Am I mad ? Of course not ” he said dramatically.

” You think being interested in someone like Imani is madness ? I asked and he coughed .

” Sir …. please don’t fire me ” he said with a crying face .

” I never said anything like that ” I said and he stared at me suspiciously.

” You were putting words in my mouth sir ” he said and I shook my head at his drama.

” I actually had no intentions of firing you Jeff ,I hope you have cancelled my appointments after lunch ? ” I asked while checking my watch.

”I have Sir ” he muttered under his breath.

Getting up from my chair ,I checked my watch before walking out of the office with Jeff not far behind.

We got to my car and as I got in ,I took my working pad and he smiled in my direction as my trusted driver drove off ,I scrolled through my phone .

I’ve never been involved in the familia because I believe in a peaceful life ,far away from crime and unnecessary drama .

I believe those that commit Crimes will one day meet their end .

But that being said the world today is different ,crimes are done and hidden under the sun like nothing actually happened , especially when the pepertrators are people who have money .

My father Sabastiano Delgado has built his empire in crime .

Although started as a business ,he and my mom grew the business with love and hard work which is the Delagdo constructions which I took over and built to this point .

The underground business of my father was something he hid from my mother until she found out and things started getting dirty and their marriage hit the rock .

He had a son with his Asian wife and a son about my Age .

Mom was hurt that it took years to move on ,but she has refused to let him get married ,a lot of court cases and mom keeps winning because she has decided Erduardo’s mom must remain a mistress .

There’s a saying that once a woman decides to deal with you ,even the devil sits to learn from her ,mom has proven that point.

Erduardo on the other hand is the most recognized one in the underground business.

He has always been the rebellious , heartless and Wayward son .

We are like two sides of a coin , Erduardo is everything I’m not .

He takes part in every aspect of the underground business and I see no reasons why my Dad has decided to complicate my life with the marriage to Abigail.

I’m f*cking loosing my mind even with the thought of it .

The car parked outside the lighthouse and I got down and stared at the building in the middle of a large compound that had different plants .

” Nardo ” the old gardner Filipe called as he noticed me .

” Mr Filipe” I shook his hands and greeted him politely before going inside .

I was late for the meeting and the moment I walked in ,all eyes moved to me and Padre obviously didn’t look pleased with the fact that I was just arriving.

” Cousin ” Someone called excitedly and my eyes moved to where she sat looking as beautiful as ever .

” Penelope ” I called as I smiled in her direction.

” Penny ” she corrected me again as we did our signature greeting she laughed.

” How is Enzo ? I asked and she shook her head .

” That cousin of yours couldn’t meet up , he had something to attend to in Spain . Besides Erduardo did not arrange the meeting on time ,I heard you are marrying Abigail ? She asked frowning.

” Well you heard wrong ,I’m not marrying anyone I don’t know why your uncle has decided to prove stubborn ” I said and Erduardo stared in my direction turn back at his phone.

” I wonder why they are so eager about your marriage to Abby ,Why can’t Eddy marry her ? She asked.

” I’m not marrying anyone ,I’m too young to get married” he said in her direction .

” You and Nardo are of the same age ” she shrugged.

” Well No” We both said in unison and looked away in embarrassment.

” Whatever I speak that is what will happen , Nardo will meet up with Abigail and get to know each other ” Father spoke.

” I have a girlfriend ” I said immediately.

” Who the African girl from Capetown ? He asked .

“The African girl has a name , Why can’t you understand the fact that I am not interested In your business or Abigail ” I asked In annoyance.

” Are you testing my patience son ? I made you who you are ” he fired Angrily.

” Well that’s because you have seen me as nothing more than an asset . Without me your legal businesses will be down the drain we both don’t want to go through that part now do we ” i fired and Erduardo seem to be enjoying every bit of the argument cause he leaned on his chair comfortably.

” Is that a threat ? He asked darkly.

” I can see the black girl is beginning to make you loose your mind ” he said and I opened my mouth to reply but Penelope held my hand softly.

I glared at him as I picked my phone and stood up immediately.

” Sit back immediately Leonardo ! ” Father fired Angrily.

” Have a nice evening” i spat angrily as I made my way out of the lighthouse.

My head banged with headache throughout the ride back to my mother’s mansion .

I matched towards my room without saying a word and badged into my room without knocking .

She screamed in horror and I froze on the spot at what my eyes just saw .

She grabbed her towel as she made to cover her body with the towel .

My eyes moved to bed were a set of he underwear laid .

Seriously

Don’t tell me she was changing in the room without locking the door ” I wondered as my mind moved to the pointed b**bs and nipples I had seen just now .

” You should learn to knock Sir ! She said glaring daggers at me still in shock .

” You should learn to change in the bathroom if your scared ” I said and her jaws literally dropped.
