Night at the club house with my guys was awesome .

And flying to South Africa the following day wasn’t exactly easy for me .

I had to work from home in other to cope with the stress .

My date with Abby is this weekend and though Adonis has tried to talk me out of it severally ,I’d stop at nothing until I get a perfect fake girlfriend .

Someone who will agree to my terms and conditions and of cause agree to break up when the time comes .

I don’t need an obsessed woman on my neck .

Women can be obsessed when they want to ” I thought as I knot my tie in front of the mirror .

The Ride to the office was a quiet one .

I had my phone in silent mode because I knew mom would start her crazy calls which would of cause interrupt with my work .

Thinking of my mom’s pressure of marriage is beginning to get to me , especially when I try to sleep.

It’s like I hear her words everywhere .

I groaned in frustration as I got out of my private elevator and checked my watch then back at the road to my office .

That’s when someone bumped into me .

I winced in pain as the hot liquid splashed on my chest .

My eyes shut tight as I looked in the direction of the offender .

There she was a beautiful black woman in formal clothes .

She opened one eye first then the other as her eyes mover to the brown coffee stain , the remainant of the brown liquid trailed down my white dress shirt .

” Sir I’m so sorry …I’m. .” She trailed as she tried to touch me ,I moved backwards immediately .

” It’s okay …huh just escuse me ” I said and as I made to leave my eyes met the tag on her chest .

” Imani lerato ” I made a mental note to get the information I needed from my personal assistant .

” Goodmorning sir ” my secretary greeted as I gave a nod then walked into the office.

” Good morning Mr Delgado , freshly brewed coffee just the way you like it ” Jeff said smiling.

” Good morning Mr Lewis ,now what did I tell you about revealing my whereabouts to my family members ? I asked and he stuttered.

” Sir …well …the…thing is your mother and sister are so scary ” he trailed .

” Are you calling them monsters indirectly ? I asked arms folded as I looked away from the files on the table .

” No sir ” he said with an akwared smile.

” Well thanks to your inability to hide my whereabouts from them ,I have a date on Sunday ” i said and his eyes widened .

” Really sir ? You can pretend to be gay again ,or that you’re in five different relationships just like we did the previous times ” he said and I glared at him in embarrassment.

” Forget I said any of that ” he said and I looked away.

” I don’t think that will work this time around , I’ve met the girl already ..” I said and he sighed .

” Maybe you should give it a try sir ,you will be getting old in a few years. …” He trailed and shut up when my eyes met his .

” I appreciate your concern Jefferson Lewis , but trust me I’m done with relationships and women . I have an empire to run ” I said and opened my laptop .

” As you wish sir ” he said and bowed .

” Make reservation this weekend ,I can’t fly out of the country just because of the model ,she’d meet me here in South Africa . So make preparations towards it ” I said and he gave a nod .

” Sir your schedule for today ”

” You have a meeting with the investors from China at 10 am ”

” The conference with K constructions just after lunch ”

” The interview you granted The Morning sun by 6 in the evening…” As he read out my schedule I bit my lower lip as I scrolled through my phone.

I noticed his gaze and I raised my eyebrows.

” Sir what happened to your shirt ? He asked and I sighed .

” I bumped into this clumsy girl just now and she found it necessary to roast my skin with hot coffee how convenient” I said suddenly feeling annoyed with the situation.

” Oh ,that must have hurt ” he said and I shook my head positively .

” She should be more careful next time” I said and he chuckled.

” You didn’t scold her ? He asked as I started working .

” It wasn’t done intentionally I guess ,she seemed to be in a hurry ” i said as my mind went back to the lady .

Her brown lovely eyes . She was Average height with curves in the right places .

She had this dark skin that pulled someone’s attention .

I shook my head from my thoughts.

” Sir did you get the name of this young lady ? Jeff asked and I sighed .

” Definitely South African. Some Imani lerato ” I said and his eyes widened.

” Imani from the finance department ,she’s a smart woman ” he said and I looked at him .

” You know her ? I asked suddenly interested .

” Yeah she won employee of the year last year . Plus she’s nice to everyone”

” Her office is just by the way ” he rabbled on.

” Why are you telling me about her ? I asked stopping his excitement halfway.

” Sorry Boss ” he apologized.

” Go get me a new dress shirt , make sure it’s ironed ” I said and he gave a nod as he left the office.

I’m on a mission to get a fake girlfriend before or after my supposed date this weekend .

I rubbed his forehead in frustration .

” You could easily get any woman you want ” my mind suggested .

” I don’t want any woman in my life . They complicate things , Layla did enough damage ” I thought in horror .

And my mind went back to the preety South African girl .

” She’s an employee ” I muttered under my breath.

” More of a reason why it should work out , offer her money . Who would say no to faking a relationship with you ? You are rich handsome and a total gentleman .

” Plus you won’t even ask her for sex now would you ? My mind asked .

” Of cause not ” I muttered under my breath and my mind went back to how her dress hugged her curves.

” Sh!t ”

” Wait what ? You poured coffee on your Boss ? My sister Zuri asked as she stared at my face .

” Stop judging me sis ,it’s not like I did it on purpose ” I said frowning.

We were currently at her favorite restaurant for lunch .

I munched on some snacks while we waited for the order .

” You wouldn’t be saying this if the guy was actually one of those stuck Boss’s that end up firing your clumsy self ” she said shaking her head .

” I was in a hurry ,you’re not helping matters Zuri” I said and she laughed.

” The Spanish Boss of yours is one hot specimen though , I’m glad he finally noticed you after two years of working in the same floor ” she said laughing.

” You are something else” I said frowning.

” Did I say anything wrong ? You use to talk about your Boss a lot when you first started work at D constructions ,if I didn’t know better I’d think you actually had a crush on him ” she said teasingly.

” Mr Delgado is my Boss and a busy man at that . ”

” I didn’t say he’s not busy ,just agree the Spanish guy is one to lust after. Maybe you should check him out on the tabloids.

” I follow celebrity news , I know what I’m talking about ” she said rubbing her hands excitedly.

” What if he finally starts to notice you ? Oh my goodness ,you guys could have forbbiden sex together and a beautiful office romance” she said clapping excitedly.

” Wake up from that dream , HE’S MY BOSS MADAM ! I said shouting.

” Lower your voice ” she said chuckling.

Why the hell am I surrounded by mad people ? This is so unfair .

Now my sister is trying to hook me up with my Boss .

As if he would even look at me .🤦

” Imani you are a beautiful girl with an amazing dress sense ,you are smart and baby girl. ..you got the backside.

” Do you remember how Guys used to go crazy about you during high school even now . You’re the one pushing guys away ” she said and I sighed .

” Before I forget my husband’s cousin is around and I was thinking maybe it’s high time I introduced you to him , who knows you might fall for him ” she said smiling.

” Thanks but no thanks sis . If I want a man I can pick him myself” I said camly .

” You’re almost twenty six Imani “she complained.

” Now don’t tell me you also believes societies standards for me ” I asked dissapointedly.

” Of cause not dear , I’m just worried about you and …the worst is after…” She trailed and I stood up .

” Ima ” she called .

” I need to report to the office sis , maybe later , because trust me this beautiful conversation is heading towards an argument . I love you ” I said as we exchanged cheek kisses.

” Love you flower ” sys said as I picked my purse and left the resturant.

I should definitely apologize to Mr Delgado.

Maybe write an apology message to his personal assistant .

Or buy him lunch , the later will definitely get me fired .

What if he thinks I’m out to seduce him or something.

Better still I should pretend we never met ,but what if he is actually expecting an apology message ?

I felt like pulling my hair in frustration .

This is so f*cked up .After work that evening I went straight to my apartment .

Made dinner after which I Freshened up and picked up a romance novel from my shelve.

I just stocked up some new books . I lay on my love couch and checked out the cover page .

It was an Historical Romance . As I read about the male protagonist , my mind trailed to Mr Delgado.

For two years I have worked under the same roof with this Billionaire and we never crossed paths.

And the first impression I had to make was of a clumsy employee.

I shut my eyes tiredly and his deep velvet voice came back to my mind .

I blushed red as I thought of his blue eyes and his pink lips .

The way his hair fell in front and how he moved backwards .

” He’s my Boss ” I muttered under my breath as I blushed red .
