“So much, unicorn.” She replied playfully pinching my nose as I let out a hearty giggle.

All along.. Jayden has been standing at the door eavesdropping on the two ladies conversation. Holding a flower bouquet for Rivera, and a bag of goodies for Betty.

He sees the conversation as the perfect topic to ask for apology.

“Do you mean to say,, Cinderella did the right thing in forgiving her stepmom and stepsisters?” Betty’s little girlish vocal sounded from inside.

“Yes she did right.” Rivera replied ruffling her hairs.

“Do you mean we should forgive everyone that wrong us, so badly?”

“Uhm!!” Rivera hummed in response not knowing what to say..

“Yes, you should forgive those that hurts you baby.” Jayden said stepping into the ward.

Instantly, Betty and Rivera all turns towards the door.

“Look guys, I know I’ve wrong you big time,, do well to forgive me. We all practice Christianity… Colossians 3:12-13. Said to err is humanity but to forgive is Divine ????

“So what are you two waiting for? Forgive me already.” Jayden’s apologies with a hard face.

Rivera and Betty stared at him like he has gone nut.

They were all silent for some sec. As Jayden idly run his hands through his thick dark hairs sighing softly.

“Why are you two staring at me that way huh? I said am sorry.” Jayden yelled grumpily..

“Go away, you dimwit… Don’t ever think am gonna forgive you for all you’ve done to me. You ruined my childhood days. Go away because am not ever gonna forgive you. No never!!!” Betty yelled with tears streaming down her rosy cheeks.

“Am sorry,,. please forgive me! Am really and deeply sorry.” Jayden went on his knees right in front of Betty.

“You don’t worth my forgiveness. You monster.” Betty yelled aggressively pushing Jayden with her little strengths. As she run out of the ward.

“Betty!!!” Rivera who was also sobbing weakly on the bed called faintly after Betty.

But the little girl seems to have gone far.

“Dont border about her,, she will be taking care of by the gaurds.” Jayden said dryly to Rivera.

Jayden knelt still with tears trickling down his face.

“I was wrong,, I hurt her badly out of ignorance.. I tortured her for someone that doesn’t worth it. I was so stupid to transfer aggression on her. I’mma fool, an idiot. A monster.. I was so stupid to be fooled by her. She tricks me.

“I loved her so much,, but she used it against me.” Jayden whimpered uncontrollably like a child. Making Rivera to also cry the more.

Seeing Jayden broken,, for the first time seems so awkward to her.

“Who is she?” Rivera manged to ask.

“She is savannah.” He replied wryly.

“I love her so much! She was my first true love… I meet her when I had nothing. She loved me back. We dated for three years.

“She took in at the third year. Then I was working as a coffee boy. With a little income.

“I asked her to get rid of the pregnancy,, but she insisted on keeping it..

It was a heartblam that I couldn’t wait to tell it to Savannah.

But then!! I received a call from the hospital. Urgently seeking my attention.

I was led to the emergency room. Just to see her lying down with a long white fabrics covering her. I wept uncontrollably for a couples of hours… Neglecting the doctors and nurses consolation.

Betty was handed to me after I’ve seems to calm down a bit.

But I pushed her away from me.

I hated her from that onset. Because I thought she was the one that killed Savannah.

I thought, She’s a bad Omen.. right from when she was a newborn baby.. I never for once touched her.

If not for the sake of Savannah. I could have put her up for adoption.

But I never knew! She did a facial surgery, attaching her real face to that of a corpse.. then feigning a new face.”
