“A friend of mine saw her at the park with this man, and decided to take a picture of them, since she knows Rivera to be your long time girlfriend..

RIVERA’S

The car door was opened for me as I stepped dowñ.

Some of the gaurds strode ahead of me.

I exhaled sharply…

As the chilly morning wind blew through my hairs.

Can’t believe am back to do what I love doing the most.

And yes, if you thought right, I signed the contract.

I know I’ve to get back to work to set lives free and also to met with my boyfriend.

I strode into the huge hospital…
Instantly, I heard my name.

“Surgeon Rivera! OMG surgeon Rivera is back” It was a fellow nurse.

Just like a wild fire in the harmattan…

Before I could move a step…I was crowded by people..

The patients. The children and my fellow medical workers.

Different types of camera light flashing on me.

I only waved at them. With Jayden’s me shrouding me. While leading t me to the hospital.

“We’re happy you’re back, Ms Rivera, where have you been?” Question the manger.

“Am sorry, I can’t tell it’s personal sir” I answered.

“I understand Ms Rivera, you know? Since you left we lost a lot of patients… Most of the children you took care from the cancer ward died…. And a lots of bad stuff.. we are at the verge of closing down our hospital but thanks to the almighty, you came back” He said.

“Why did they died doctor?” I asked in tears.

“I Know, there are other best medical workers here,so why the bad report?” I sob.

” That I have no answer to Ms River, all I could say is that, most of the children took you as the mother they never had. They kept asking after you…

when we couldn’t provide you. Some of them stopped eating, other’s condition increased…. And that’s what led to their death” He said while wiping off tears from his eyes.

“Am so sorry doctor, am really sorry” I cried.

“It’s okay, I know you’re a good person and you have a good reason for being away.” He said.

“I’m back doctor, I promise not to go outside the country for now, I will start all over again” I assured him.

“Thanks so much.” He appreciates.

“You’re welcome Dr, excuse me.. I need to go prepare for tomorrow, I have an operation to carry out” I smiled.

“Good luck Ms Rivera, surgeon Lucia will hand you the the patient report to work on”

“Thanks doctor” I said about existing his office.

“You’re welcome.”

It was four and half..

I know I’ve to be at home before four.

“Wow, can’t believe Cinderella and her prince charming have a hearty life after… Since Cinderella past through hell” Hihu one of the girl said.

“I wish I could live happily after, with my special one but am gonna die Soon” karon one of the little boy cried.

“You don’t have to cry karon, we are gonna search for a new heart for you, and you will live happily ever after just like Cinderella and her prince charming..

“Yes surgeon Rivera!!!!!!!” They all cheer happily.

I got outside, to my surprise Jayden’s men were no were to be found.

I was about heading to the parking lot..

When someone pulled me by my arms.

I was startled and dumbstruck..

I turned around briskly only to see Damon..

I was flabbergasted, as I stared mouth openly at him.

“River?” He called in dazed.

“Damon?” I called.

“You bitch!! After all I’ve done for you? You left with another man” He roared.

“What are you talking about?” I asked.

“Don’t you dare lie to my face.” He said.

“You’re drunk Damon.” I said perceiving the strong smell of liquor from him.

“You’re the drunk one here you sl°t” He raised his hands to slap me.

I covered my face mentally waiting for the pain to come but non came.
