He became still without moving…I felt his grips loosened up…

I became stupefied and disturbed…

“Did he just pa-ssed out?” My heart missed a beat…

I reached for the socket switching on the lights…

He was laying motionless. on the bed..

My heart rocket so high..

“Oh no, what’s wrong with him?” I panicked,, freeing his eye brows and closing it back..

I examine his face and was goosebumps taken to the sight.

His handsome face was covered by red dots…

His countenance was swollen and pale.

“Gosh! What happened to him?

I think he was stung by bees and the venoms are are starting to take effects.

I outstretched the first aid kit right beneath the bed..

I got to the bathroom, got some clean bowls of water, ???? soap and towel…

I know I shouldn’t treatt him..but I ain’t heartless and cruel as him.

I strolled back to the bed. Using the water and soap to wash off his swollen face. Peeling off the residual venoms, just to reduce the chance of infection..

I applied some Icepack.. on his face, just to control the pains and swolling, lastly applying a layers of hydrocortisone cream to help the pain and itching, I covered it with a bandage.

I adjusted him properly on the bed, before covering him with the duvet.

I sneered at how innocent and calm the devil is while sleeping.

I left his room and headed to mine..

I got into the lukewarm shower… And whirled on the shower as the water fell continuousl on me…

I can’t believe my life has become a caged life..

All my dreams has demolished in a blink of an eye…

I swear and promise myself to get out of this place…and when I do! I’ll make uncle Mario suffer greatly for all he’s done to me..

Rags of sobs escape my throat as tears prattle endlessly..

I was done..I dried my dried my body with a towel and stepped out of the bathroom.. with a bathrobe wrapped around my body..

I sat at the dressing table about drying my hair..

I was distracted by the sounds of faint knocking.

I stopped what I was doing heading towards the door.

“Maybe, it’s the master’s men” I thought striding towards the door.

I twisted the doorknob.. unlocking the door.

Just to see little Betty by the door. Clutching her stomach.

“Hey Betty! Are you okay?” I fluttered squatting to her level.

“Aunt please help me, am dying of starvation” her Petit little voice echoed..

“Huh! Don’t you have a maid?” I inquests her, feeling heartbroken.

“No, she pa-ssed away few weeks ago” she mumbled sadly.

“So sorry for that, am here for you now baby, I’ll do anything just to light up you pretty face” I cooed hugging her.

“Thanks so much aunt,, I’ll be glad to have you as my superwoman” she giggled mischievously..

“Do wait a bit, let me go change into some pyjamas” I muttered dismantling from the hug.

“Thanks so much aunt” she grin.

I changed into my pajamas..
I got to the kitchen with little Betty..

We got to a fabulous stylish kitchen.with lots of expensive kitchen tools.

It reeks of dust dirt..

“Dose it mean no one eats in this house?”

All the two forsaking weeks I’ve been here, the maids only attended to me just twice, and since then I haven’t saw any of thëm.

I only feed on cereal all throu-gh.

“The maids are all gone” Betty announced opening the freezer.

“Why huh?”

“Dad, relieve them of their jobs, the previous day.”

“Hmmm?”

“I don’t know why he did it” she retorted..

Pulling out some cereal from the freezer.

“So what would you love to have?” I Sounded.

“A bowl of cereal and milk will do, that’s all we’ve got in this house” she gweked. Handing me the oatmeal..

“Please prepare it for me” she pouted.

“Sure, you don’t have to plead me okay, grab a seat let me go boil some water” I motion her to seat.

“Thanks Aunt, you see since I grow up, I haven’t seen anyone cooking in this kitchen before” she mumbled.

“Really?” I questioned not reckoning my ears..

“Cos, my dad restricted everyone” she said with a sigh.

“He said, his wife is only entitled to the kitchen and no one else” she mumbled with an eye roll.

“Oh I see! He must really love his wife” I grunted.

And instantly, I recall pinpoint a thing.

“Isn’t she surpose to be your mother?” I questioned.

“Mother indeed!” She scoffed bitterly.

“Then where is she?” I quizzed confusedly.

“Can’t tell, dad never told me anything about her, I only heard from the jabbering mouth of some maids that mom, left dad and I in the hospital immediately she gave birth to me and elope…. faking her death” she said and I was dumbstruck, to why she will do that.

” I never wish to be born, by two horrible parents who aren’t ready for me,but brou-ght me out just to suffer.” She sounded with a cracked voice.. tearing up.

“Shhhh! Don’t cry baby. You’re a strong little girl” I comforted hugging her while stroking her hairs.

“The almighty knows why, he gave you to them, so don’t feel too enraged, with time you’re gotta know why” I mumbled.

“Thanks so much aunt” she stuttered.

“How about I pet name you?” I said.

“Huh?” She wi-de-ned her eyes like a saucer.

“Yes, from today you are gonna be my little pretty unicorn, deal?”

“Deal!!!” She shrikes happily. Clapping her hands together.

I put her back in a cheerful mood!

“Here we go, ???? unicorn” I said placing the cup of oatmeal right in front of her.

“Thanks so much” she chuckled heartily..

About drinking from it.

“Hold on, not to fast let me get the toast bread” I fired..

“Am sorry aunt, it scent yummy I can’t help it” she pouted with a puppy dog eyes..

“Here we go” I said placing some toast bread in a small tray.

We sat down and eat like two old friends.. chatting and cracking jokes..

ONE WEEK’S LATER ⭐

All throu-ghthe weeks.. Jayden has been unconscious with Rivera constantly treating and applying some balms on him..

His swollen face has returned back to normal. Left with the red dots all over his handsome face.

His men wanted taking him to the hospital but Rivera stopped them. She told them to get her some special balms and drugs which she wrote for them..

Rivera and Betty, has been happy all these days the devil was unconscious.

Cooking and baking, cleaning and doing the laundries together…

With the help of Rivera Betty was able to have a bed and a light in her room.

No more dark and cold room… Betty was starting to get used and obsessed with Rivera gradually..

The darkness in her little heart was gradually getting illuminated by Rivera’s kind heart..

I fluttered my eyelids opened..
I sprang up sitting on the bed..

Jezz, can’t believe I fell unconscious.

I stood up from the bed.. and strode towards the living room.

“Boss!” My men saluted.

“Get the car ready!” I instructed.

“Where is Ray?”

“Out to handle some of your urgent business!”

I only nodded taking the staircase downstairs.

I got to the living room, I could hear faminal giggles and noise, probably from the kitchen…

I head for the kitchen, I was welcomed by a sweet aroma of fish, Shepherd’s pie and cottage pie..

And instantly I remembered Savannah. That’s her favourite dishes…

My stomach grumbles loudly, requiring for a bite.

But I raised my brows, and sneered at myself.

I clinched my fist, who the heck permitted them to wield the kitchen without my approval??

I said and stepped maliciously into the kitchen..

“Daddy!!” That witch dubbed..

Running to my embrace!!

I felt like de-epening the hvgged..

“I missed you so much Daddy!” She said squeezing me so tight in the hug.

“Let go you brat!” I pushed her rou-ghly from me..

She staggered about falling down but was caught by that b*tch.

She said clutching Betty closer to herself..

I strode towards her.
