Clementina, Chapter 1 - Metamorphosis

The phone conversation I had with Olympia was strange. "Um, yes, but let's slow down, Clementina said, "These creatures, they are parasites."

"Parasites? Who are the hosts?"

Clementina, my mom, and I exchanged a nervous glance.

"Humans," Clementina finally said.

"Humans?" Olympia paused. "What effect do they have on the host?"

"It depends," Clementina said. "Men and women are affected differently."

She stood up and gestured for my mother and Ona to do the same.

"Do you notice anything similarities between us?" she asked.

Olympia looked at the three women.

"You guys are on the same diet program?" she said.
