I Got You: Savvy's P.O.V ... Love and Guns

Savvy’s P.O.V

Allen peeked out the hotel door, once he saw what he wanted to see he silently closed the door. His brown eyes flickered over to me and I watched as his lips twitched up into a forced smile. Knowing Allen, he was putting on a grin to lighten the mood: fear. “What are we hiding from?!” I asked in aspiration as I knew that he was hiding something.

“Well...” He started but didn’t go any further. He walked over to the window opposite from the door, muttered a little to himself, looking serious before stalking over to the door and quietly opened the door again. He peeked his head out, just barely, but the way he drew back in and closed the door, showed me he knew what he was looking at and just wanted to check something. “Alright,” he said. “Here’s the plan. When I say run, you run like hell, you hear me?” My brows lifted in confusion of what he was saying all I knew was that in the pit of my stomach I could tell something was seriously going on. Allen went into the other room as I sat down with a huff.

Five minutes later, I heard a large commotion and Allen appeared hurriedly. “That’s our cue. Run!” He said in a rushed tone. He ran over to the door and was about to open it when I spoke.

“What is going on?!” I questioned as to why we had to run and also I was wondering what all the noise was from just moments ago.

“Go! Now, before it’s too late!” Allen said quickly.

“Not until you tell me what’s going on! I don’t like being led in the dar-”

“For the love of god woman, will you just do as you’re told?” He hissed at me. I started to pout with my bottom lip sticking out. I was even tempted to stomp my feet, but I held it back knowing that was child's play.

“For the love of god man, will you-”

Suddenly, I was silenced, as Allen with on large stride came over to me and leaned in, sealing my lips ... with his own. My heart gave a sudden thump as my eyes grew wide in shock as our mouths move in sync. I could feel his hot hands on my back and my hands went towards his hair.

After a few seconds, Allen backed up, but he took both of my shoulders in his hands and looked deeply into my eyes. “You’ve known me since ... forever. You know I would never hurt you. You trust me, don’t you?” He voiced.

“Well, I don’t know-” I murmured.

“You know you do! Look, we’re running out of time, so I have no time to put it in soft words, please, for your life, run!” He turned me around by my shoulders and gave me a small shove.

I obeyed him and did as he said, slipping out the room. I took a glance to the side where Allen had looked to so many times. Two burly guys were arguing with two people garbed in the hotel uniforms. A push from Allen and I was going the opposite way as fast as my legs could take me.

We had turned down some halls and were turning a corner when a voice made Allen and I come to a halt. “Don’t move,” my throat went dry and I could feel Allen tense next to me as we were stopped. My mind was screaming for me to run, but I couldn’t. “Turn around,” at this point the voice was just a few feet behind us and I just realized who was talking.

“Inx?” I exclaimed as I twisted around. Surely enough I was faced with Inx upon turning around, but that wasn’t the only thing I saw. Held out in front of him was a gun. I was slightly relieved to see the gun wasn’t pointed at me. But my eyes followed to whom it was aimed at ... Allen.

“Allen, turn around,” Inx grimaced. Allen moved to where he was facing Inx. “Good, now Savvy, please come over to me,” I looked at Inx like he had gone crazy. In all honesty, I think he had, with a gun in his hand and basically threatening Allen’s life. “Savvy, you need to get behind me. He is dangerous.” Inx informed me with a keen look at Allen.

“Don’t move,” Allen whispered to me. At this moment I noted that I had to pick, Allen or Inx. The gun in the situation was not helping. In fact, it made me feel pressured. I trusted Inx, but I’d never seen him so vividly outraged, by the expression on his face I could tell he was angry. Never had I ever imagined him with a gun either, yet alone pointed it at Allen. My heart was rapidly beating, and I was breathing in an abnormal way.

Allen looked at Inx, splaying his arm out in front of me. “What the hell are you thinking Inx? Bringing a gun near Savvy? Savvy! Get behind me, come on baby,” I froze.

Wait?! What did he just call me?! “Huh?” I quizzed.

Inx’s blue eyes locked with mine. “I love you. Savvy and I want to keep you safe. He is not good for you. I’m saving you,” Inx spoke.

"What are you saying so randomly?" I said first surprised, until his words sunk in. “And who are you to tell me what is good for me, and what isn’t? Plus, right now you are holding a gun, I’m not too sure you are any better than you say Allen is."

"At least I don't have a mother who-”

“What does my mother’s disapproval of Savvy have anything to do with this?” Allen asked as his brown eyes bore into Inx. I felt like the way they were looking at each other that there was a silent conversation going on with their looks. A chuckle rumbled off of Inx’s chest.

“Are you telling me that you haven’t told her? Told Savvy about how your mom is a mob boss. Oh and let me guess you haven’t filled her in about how your mom is the reason she had memory loss,” Inx’s words made me gasp.

“W-what?!” I choked out. Turning my head I looked at Allen, hoping he would tell me that Inx was lying. I saw a guilt written expression on his face instead.

“Savvy, he’s lied to you. How do you know that he’s not going to take you to his mom? After all he kidnapped you, what person with good intentions kidnaps someone?” Inx exclaimed. Allen clenched his fist and glared coldly at Inx. I could feel the tension in the air growing as they had a stare off. A part of me just clicked, why wasn’t I just ditching both of these guys and getting the hell out of here? Maybe it was the fact that the longer I am staying here, the more I am realizing I don’t even truly know the guys I ... I ... I love.

Yes, admittedly I loved both of them equally, yet as the seconds pass and no one speaks, I wonder, is my love based on a lie?

“I brought her here to explain it all. You have no right to barge in like this!” Allen spat, breaking the silence.

“I have every right! For Savvy’s safety, I do!” Inx yelled.

“What are you? Her father?”

“No, I’m her protector. That’s why I sent those guys to bring her back!”

“Did she ask you?! Get a life! You’re getting so obsessed in stalking her!”

Inx narrowed his eyes at Allen, pure anger shining in his eyes. Anger and hate. “I’ll kill you right here.” He went to cocked the gun, and I gasped.

“Stop! Inx, this isn’t you! Give me the gun,” I pleaded as I noticed what was folding out before me. His icy eyes looked at me. “Please, don’t do this. I-I-I will come with you, if you just hand me the gun,” Inx acted intrigued by my words but all the sudden he shook his head.

“No, Savvy, I can’t,” he muttered.

“Oh to the fudge monkeys with this,” with a long jump I reached Inx and yanked the gun from his hand. He was so shocked that his hands slipped and I got a hold of it. Now I was currently in the middle of Allen and Inx, both looking at me to see what I would do next.

I bet them bee-itches think I’m gonna pop a bullet in their asses. As tempting as it sounded for them lying to me, I knew I couldn’t. After all I hated the heavy feeling this gun had in my hands. I really just wanted to get rid of it.

“Savvy, hand me the gun,” Allen coaxed.

“Why should I?” I asked him.

“Don’t do it Savvy, he will use it to kill either you or I -- maybe both of us,” Inx stated.

“I would never hurt her!” Allen proclaimed.

“That’s bull!”

“Stop it! Now! No one is getting-” Suddenly, the gun was snatched from my hands and I felt myself being pushed to the ground. I landed on my butt and saw Allen clutching the gun and aiming it at Inx.

“What are you going to do? Kill me?” Inx inquired.

“Loving the idea as the seconds go by.”

"You can't kill him!" I shouted. Allen’s now black colored eyes filled with rage looked at me. I could see no emotion on his face as I watched him pulled the hammer back to cock the gun. I knew then that he was about to kill, and there was nothing I could do. As fear froze me, I heard a bang. My eyes closed as the sound rang through the deserted hall. A foul smell filled my nostrils and I knew the smell must have been gunpowder. Gradually I opened my eyes.

Before me was Allen, standing and gazing down at Inx, who was lying on the floor. I shrieked and crawled over to Inx’s body. His eyes were glassy and he was staring up at the ceiling as he tried to breath. I cried out in shock of what had just happened. “Inx!” He glanced over at me.

“I love yo...” his mouth hung open and his eyes rolled to the back of his head. I couldn’t breathe at that moment, my lungs felt constricted, my head spun, and I felt like everything was crashing down on me.

“Savvy, we need to go,” I felt a hand grab my arm. I yanked out of Allen’s grip and looked up at him.

“Y-you killed him!”
