Family Planning, Episode Six

"Honey! Wake up! think I'm labour. Please, wake up and take me to the hospital. Please wake up, pick up the car keys and drive me to the hospital as fast as possible." Emilia tells her husband who was fast asleep. Justice had planned to travel abroad the next day, but not anymore. Now, he not only has to take his wife to the hospital, but be on the standby as she delivers their baby.

"Honey! Please be fast about it. I think my water has broken and I need to get to the hospital as fast as possible. Please I'm in pains." Emilia said again. Jake sprang to his feet and started looking for his car keys. He felt dizzy and his head felt hazy. He was confused too, not knowing where to start. It was his wife's first child and he has never seen a woman in labour before. His wife's shouts made him confused. He managed to pick the car keys but was impossible to lift his wife alone.

"Please, try walking a little. I'm afraid I can't lift you alone. You have to walk a little so we can get to the car as fast as possible" Justice said. Just then, he remembered the gateman of the house and he removed his phone and dialed his number. A few minutes later, the gateman emerged and gave him a helping hand. He jumped into the car and turned on the ignition and drove off. Soon, they arrived at the hospital and the nurses took it from there.

"Don't worry sir. Your wife will soon put to bed. You can wait here while we attend to her." The team of nurses who received them at the hospital said to Justice. Emilia had become very weak, so she barely said a thing. Soon, Justice was asked to sign some papers authorizing a CS on his wife and he did it without delay.

It was not up to two hours and he got the good news that his wife has been delivered of a baby boy. He was overjoyed. He was called into the clinic and the baby was handed over to him. His joy knew no bounds and he started to wonder what he had been waiting for all these while before having a baby.

"I'm the happiest person on earth today. I don't know how to express my joy. I'm glad I didn't travel abroad as planned. If I had, I would not have witnessed the birth of my own baby. Today feels so special to me." Justice said as he kept looking at the baby's face, wondering if he resembles him or his wife, Emilia.

Emilia was still recovering after the delivery of the baby. The doctors said it would take a few moments before she would be up. Justice was asked to run around and get the necessary things that would be needed for mother and child. He gladly did all he was asked to do without getting tired.

Meanwhile, the missing doctor was planning how to get out from the kidnappers den. From his calculations, he knew Emilia was close to delivery, and so, he wants to meet her at the hospital and in the presence of her husband.

"How much did she pay you to kidnap us and keep us here? Tell me the amount and I will double it." The doctor said. He was scared but he had to speak up after he saw that the kidnappers had no particular intent to harm them. They were just keeping them on the instructions of Emilia who had since gone to the hospital to deliver her baby. By all means, the doctor wants to be present at the hospital and see the baby. He would like to teach Emilia some bitter lessons. Fortunately for him, Jake the kidnapper is also ready to do business. He was ready to let them go so far as money is involved. He does not care, all he needs is for his pockets to be filled with money.

"How much are you willing to give?" Jake asked the doctor. He was smiling conspiratorially like a con artist who knows he is about to hit a jackpot. He stood up from where he was and moved closer to the doctor who had his hands tied to his back close to the wall of the uncompleted building.

"I will give you N3 million to release the three of us." The doctor said. Though he has never met Edna and lyke, he knew they would be useful to him and help to provide strong evidence against Emilia when he finally exposes her to her husband. He plans to take the two of them to the hospital so that they will support him to finally nail Emilia and open up her secret to her husband. That was why he offered to pay Jake the kidnapper to have the two young persons released to him. His plans worked because Jake accepted.

As soon as he wired the money to Jake's account, they were on there way to the hospital.

The three of them marshaled out a unified plan on how to expose Emilia.

"Remember, our ultimate plan is to expose her lies and scatter her marriage. Also, the baby would go to the real father when her husband must have chased her away. Please, let's stick to the plan." The doctor said to lyke and Edna who both looked so tired after spending time with the kidnappers. Both of them were itching for revenge, so, they agreed to the plan.

Soon, they got to the hospital and the doctor went in and called Justice to the clinic's parking lot.

"There is something you might want to hear. It is about your newborn baby. An I d think you should pay very close attention because the information will benefit you." The doctor said.
