Connor stood in the airport lobby outside gate A17. He had bought a large poster board and Sharpie markers to scribble on the white canvas, Honey Bun and Mom. He felt slightly silly holding the large board while passengers exited looking at him like he was crazy.

However, It was all worth it to see the firey little girl stumble off the plane and barrel toward him. She screamed the whole way to his embrace, and once she was Connor tossed aside the poster and picked her up. He threw her into the air before catching her in a tight hug.

"Bugger!"

"Someone missed me." He smiled brightly while his little sister squeezed him with every limb she had. His mother wasn't too far behind either.

Connor looked over to see her teary eyes and gentle smile, now right here in front of him instead of through a phone

"Connor, my boy."

"Hey, Momma." He felt himself soften completely as he looked at her, he opened his embrace and she joined in, wrapping her delicate arms around the both of them. The 3/9ths of the Deluca's embraced in the airport, hugging away every tense knot in his body. He could smell his childhood on them, smell his house, the soap she used to wash dishes, he smelled home.

Honey spoke up first, "Can't. Breath."

"Oh sorry!" Connor said laughing. They all leaned back and the small girl slid out of Connor's arm, dramatically gasping for air with an unmissably grin on her face.

"It's so good to see my baby again. " He could see gentle tears silent slipping down his mom's face as she gripped his cheeks in her hands.

Connot felt his own eyes burn as he gave her a sideways grin, "I missed you too. It's been too long." He pulled his mother's delicate frame into his chest and hugged her tight.

After a few more minutes of saying hello and embracing, Connor managed to grab all their bags and juggle Honey on his back. They walked towards the airport exit while Honey rambled on about school.

Connor shook his head and laughed, "I never remember having that much drama in elementary school."

"Tell me about it." His mother groaned rubbing a hand over her face, he had a feeling the whole flight that was all she talked about.

He popped the trunk of his charger and threw their bags in the back, "Are you guys hungry?"

"Starving!" Honey cheered and jumped off Connor, running for the car doors.

"Lunch would be wonderful, son"

Honey had spied a dinner off the side of the road that they pulled off to eat at. And eat they did. The table was full of fluffy pancakes, greasy sausage, golden hashbrowns, and so much more. Connor and Honey were both hunched over their plates devouring nearly all of it.
