All It Took Was One Look - S01 E45

Aiden

We made love twice last night and once this morning. Right now our bags were packed and we were going back home.

'I was going to miss this care free feeling' I thought.

"There's something I forgot to tell you." He said when we were about thirty minutes away from town. I looked over to him,

"What's that?" He gave me a sheepish smile.

"You'll be staying at... thepackhouse." He mumbled the last part so I leaned up closer to him.

"Come again?" He sighed.

"You'llbestayingatthepackhouse." This time he said it so fast it just sounded like a whole bunch of jumbled words. I gave him a flat look.

"Liam." I said annoyed.

"You'll be staying at my pack house." I think my life just stopped and I'm pretty sure that I was sitting there frozen because he was staring at me with concern.

"Aiden?" He waved a hand in my face. "Aiden?"

"Y-you said what now?" I finally spoke.

"I'm sorry but I didn't want you near.. Brent." His name was said with such disgust I made even me cringe. Liam hated Brent with a passion and I couldn't blame him. I did too.

"He's still here?" I asked, Liam growled with a nod.

"His parents are stuck in some country with bad weather or something." He said. I peered out the window watching the familiar scenery.

"So you're telling me I'm going to live with a giant pack of wolves?" I heard the crack of my voice at the end.

"What did I say Aiden. You have me, my dad, my mom, and Dom. No one is going to touch you. And if anyone gives you a problem all you have to do is tell me." He said laying a warm comforting hand on my thigh.

"Ha ha." I laughed nervously, this was definitely going to be the death of me this time.

We pulled up to a huge mansion somewhere deep in the forest. I watched as people were hanging around. Kids were playing while their parents sat watching over them.

"See, it's no cabin but we're not out of the woods yet." He joked smiling at me reassuringly. When he took the key out of the ignition I shrank back in my seat.

"Will they know?" I asked barely above a whisper. He reached over moving my bangs out of my eyes.

"The mated wolves with known instantly. As for everyone else they will smell our mixed scent and know that we've completely mated, there's no hiding it." He said softly, my heart sank a little. Everyone will smell that we had sex? Oh god how embarrassing.

"Come on beautiful, my dad wants to say hello to his future Alpha."

"He's seen me before." I whined slowly unbuckling my seat belt. Liam climbed out the car opening the back and lifted our things out. He was walking up to the house when he turned around and gestured for me to get out with an exasperated wave. I shook my head. He rolled his eyes and nodded briskly. I shook my head again.

"Hell no" I said but he heard me.

"Aiden, don't make me come get you because I'll make it a hell of a lot worse." He yelled.

Sighing I dropped my head down and slithered out of the car. I kept my gaze down as I trudged to him.

"You're slower than a sloth Aiden." He laughed.

"Your practically throwing me into the wolfs den so excuse me if I'm a little or a lot apprehensive about this." I muttered one step behind him.

I was so close I was practically stepping on his heels. Liam was laughing all the way up the steps. Yeah laugh jackass I hope you trip! He never did as we climbed the stairs. The front door was wide open as we stepped through the huge entrance. To our left were the stairs leading up to the second floor. Straight ahead was a hall way full of doors and over on the left was the kitchen. Right next to the stairs was a large room my guess was the lounge area and I soon noticed some of the kids from my school sitting in there and I wanted to leave now.

Picking up on my uneasiness Liam took my hand and guided me up the stairs. Passing by a few doors, he stopped halfway down the hall. Opening the door he gently pushed me in; his room walls were a bluish gray. He had tan fur rug in the center of the floor and a king size bed in the far corner with a dark blue comforter and white pillows. There was a huge wood dresser that had two shelves attached to the top. The top shelf was full of book while the bottom was full figurines.

"I didn't take you as the action figure type." I said walking over to pick up one. He scratched the back of his neck.

"I was pretty obsessed with them when I was little." I grinned pinching my fingers together at him.

"Aww aren't you just adorable." I teased him in a baby voice. He growled playfully rushing towards me. I yelped as he tackled me to the bed.

"Oof." I grunted as the air rushed out of my lungs at his heavy body.

"I'm not one of your tackle dummies, asshole." I wheezed giving him a pathetically punch in the arm. He snickered burying his face in my neck, a serious habit of his I noticed. I heard him inhale deeply.

"You smell so damn good, especially with my scent on your skin. Just as it should be." I giggled at the tickle of his warm breath against my skin. I pushed at him until he rose up on his elbows staring down at me. There was a sudden pull towards him, like he was sending me a silent message. I knew what he wanted and rose up a little captured his lips with mine. He growled possessively curling his hands behind the nape of my neck to keep me trapped in our hot searing kiss.

"Mmm." I moaned wrapping my arms around his neck. I could feel him hardening against my thigh when he pulled back,

"I want you Aiden." He whispered against my jaw giving it a nip. I arched against him, I think I've turned in to a slut for Liam Jacobs. Shame on me! But it's so good. I felt his mouth travel down my neck licking at the scar at my shoulder. The amazing sparks shot down my body as I fisted the sides of his shirt in a tight grip. My breath was coming in short gasps

"I can smell the arousal on your skin." He growled in my ear, flicking his tongue over the shell. I ground my lower half against him causing him to moan softly. His hand snuck under my shirt touching my stomach. His fingers climbing their way up to my chest but suddenly there was a knock at the door and I jumped up in fright, while Liam cursed under his breath.

He kissed me quickly before going to the door. I straightened my clothes and sat up just in time for Dom to walk in. He had an overwhelmed expression on his face and his eyebrows rose up to his hair line.

"Phew, man you guy sure know how to stink up a room." He scrunched up his nose looking from Liam to me. Liam snarled at him pushing him away. I jumped from the bed and raced towards Dom giving him a huge hug. He was hesitant at first but hugged me back.

"Well I didn't know you would miss me that much." He joked smiling down at me. I pulled back gazing up at him only to see the bags under his eyes and usual healthy tan skin was a pale. It was then that I remembered about Jeanine. His smile slowly slipped from his face and sighed.

"Liam told you." It wasn't a question but I nodded anyway. I was a little shocked to see such a serious expression taking place on his familiar smiling face. His eyes were full of pain and it made me kind of angry that J would do this to him. I knew from experience that he would never do anything to her. The only thing he did was love her. I rose up on tip toes so I could whisper into his ear.

"I'm going to help you, I'll knock some sense into her. Just you wait." He gave a dry laugh.

"Thank you, Aiden." His voice was so drained of all enthusiasm. I need to do something ASAP! Life wouldn't be life without the always happy and funny Dom in it.

"So what brings you up here?" Liam asked as I backed up to lean against his chest, he wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Oh, because I could smell you guy from the bottom of the staircase." He said wiggled his brows at us. I blushed.

"What does that mean?" I asked warily. Dom smirked poking his lips out and making kissy faces. I gasped pushing out of Liam's arms and spun around to glare him.

"They can smell that!?" I hissed. He looked like a dear caught in headlights. I took a threatening step towards him as he backed away holding his hands out in surrender.

"It's inevitable, they'll know anyway once they meet you, I told you this already."

"We are not doing... that, while I'm here!" I snapped marching over to his bed and plopped down crossing my arms with a pout of embarrassment. Liam scowled over at Dom who gave him a sheepish grin.

"You're a dead man." Liam said calmly, his voice so low I could barely hear him.

"Oh look at that, I think my dad is calling." Dom said slowly backing out of the room. Liam growled and Dom hauled ass out the door. I shook my head at him but never taking my narrowed eyes off Liam.

It was silent for a while as we just stared at each other or on my end glared. I sighed before looking down at the rug.

"You were right, he's taking this hard." I mentioned quietly. Liam came and sat next to me.

"I know we have to do something fast before we lose him." He exhaled and fell back on his bed.

"So was it true, they can smell us..." I didn't finished, it was too embarrassing. Liam turned his head to me biting his lower lip.

"Yes." He nodded. My shoulders dropped, this is humiliating.

"I'm not going out there." I snapped crossing my arms stubbornly. Liam sat back up,

"Well you have to, I'm introducing you tonight."

He shot from the bed and ran out of the room shutting it behind him while I was staring at the door in shock.

Liam

Aiden hadn't followed me down the stairs so I knew I was safe until tonight but right now I wanted to talk with my parents. I walked out to the backyard ignoring the weird looks I was getting from my pack members. My parents were cuddled up on a blanket on the grass watching some kids play. They both turned to me when I walked up to them.

"Hey baby." Mom said hopping up to her feet and enveloping me in a huge hug. I smiled,

"Hi mom." I greeted softly into her neck. I was so happy that she accepted me, it made me overjoyed that she loved me so much. I was definitely lucky. Pulling back from my grinning mom I shook dad's hand.

"Is he here?" My dad asked as I sat on their blanket with them.

"Yes, and he's scared to come out of the room. I'm pretty sure he locked the door after I left." I laughed. My parents shook their head. They were looking at me in a way that made me frown in confusion. Their huge grinning faces were starting to freak me out.

"What!?" I finally asked unable to take it anymore.

"Oh, nothing" my mom sang, turning to look back at the children playing. My dad leaned back on his hands and tilted his head back basking in the sun with closed eyes. I narrowed my eyes at them,

"Don't play dumb, what it is?" Again they ignored me.

Growling, playfully I tackled my dad as he yelped out in surprise and I held him in a head lock. That will teach him to ignore me. Quicker than lightning he had me pinned to the ground with my arms above my head, hovering over me grinning like a fool.

"Nice try Liam." He growled. "You may soon be the next Alpha but you still have a few years until you can over power me boy." I scowled at him and again we began wrestling around on the grass. This was me and my dad, we were always like this. I heard my mom's laughs under our growls and snarls.

"Okay, okay, Robert let my son go." She ordered. Snickering, he did as she said and crawling back to mom on the blanket laying his head in her lap like a puppy to his master. I rolled my eyes, I got to my feet wiping myself off as mom began picking grass out of dad's hair. Secretly I watched them, hoping that this was me and Aiden twenty years from now. Hell five minutes from now.

I shook my head getting all the grass and leaves out.

"Come here hun." Mom called. Walking over to her I knelt down next to her and she smiled picking leaves out of my hair as well.

"So, are you guys going to tell me what you were all smiles about?" Dad huffed while mom tilted her head at me.

"Well it was kind of hard to miss." Dad muttered. Mom popped him in the head looking at him reproachfully.

"What he's trying to say is that you're all grown up." My mother is not making a lick of sense. Frowning she sighed.

"Liam we can smell the mating, so congratulations, you've hit man hood. Also meaning by the end of next month you are going to be Alpha." Mom explained. My confused expression cleared as I realized what they were talking about. No wonder I was getting weird looks when I came out here duh. I laughed at myself of course.

"Poor Aiden, this is going to be so embarrassing for the dear." Mom whined.

"He'll be introduced tonight," I told them. "So dad can you call a meeting?" He shook his head. I frowned at him.

"No?"

"You're the future Alpha, call your pack." Inclining his head to me. I looked at him dumbstruck.

"O-okay." I left the happy couple and did one of my future job.

It was around seven when I gave the announcement for everyone to meet in the meeting hall. Aiden still refused to come out so here I was sitting by the door resting my head back against the wall.

"Come on Aiden." I whined to him. "We have to go, they're waiting."

"No!" came the same stubborn answer from an hour ago. My ass was starting to go numb. I sighed, I guess I have to go for the low blow.

"Aiden, do you love me?" There was no answer, I smirked knowing he was pouting. "And if you love me, you'll open the door and walk out with your head held high. We'll face whatever is waiting for us in that room, together." I cooed.

I heard the heavenly sound of the lock twisting and shot up to my feet.

My cute little mate cracked the door open and popped his head out pouting his full kissable lips at me. I smiled at him holding out my hand for him.

"Come on beautiful." He looked down at my hand then to my face a couple times before opening the door wider and taking it.

"Fine, let's go face the music." He mumbled. Chuckling I pulled him close to my side.

"I'll be right by your side the whole time. We'll handle anything they have to throw at us." I nodded encouragingly. He looked like he was going to be sick and my heart went out to him. I knew this was really hard for him from all he's been through lately. My wolf was on the defensive ready to protect his mate from anything.

When we reached the meeting hall door, I turned towards Aiden and took his face in my hands. His big sky blue eyes were wide as he looked up at me.

"I love you." His shoulders lost a bit of tenseness and a small smile graced his lips.

"Right back at you, pup." He whispered. I smiled brushing my lips against his reassuringly.

"Let do this." I said straightening up and opened the door.
