The Wedding DJ - S01 E02

Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 2

"Whatever Sharon did to you serves you right. You deserve every bad thing she did to you. You deserve it 100 percent. Look at me. I finished my secondary school more than five years ago and you refused to help me to further my education. I had a very good final result and I was even admitted to study law but you refused to pay my school fees. You told me you don't have money even though I knew very well that your DJ business was blossoming. You were doing well and you are still doing well. You did not have the money to train me in school but you had the money to train your girlfriend, Sharon. You could not pay my school fees but you had the money to buy an expensive car for your girlfriend. And yet, you call me your sister? So my dear George, I'm sorry but I have no tears. to shed for you. Go and nurse your wound alone." Ella told George harshly. She has been upset since George came to visit her. George has been heartbroken and was looking for someone to talk to but it seemed coming to Ella his younger sister was a great mistake

"I just needed someone to talk. You are my sister and I had nowhere else to go to. I don't drink, so I couldn't go to the bar to relax my nerves. Why are you talking to me this way? Something terrible just happened to me and you are making me feel worse. What are siblings for if I can't run to you in times of distress like this?" George asked. His face shows he was experiencing serious emotional pain. He tried to conceal it but it was too much for him and it was visible to his sister that he was going through a lot. Yet, Ella didn't care.

"You are even lucky that I did not ask you to leave my house. The right thing for me to have done was to chase you out of my house. But I chose to listen to you because you are my brother. Apart from listening to you, I have no help or words of consolation for you George. Go and enjoy your break up with Sharon because like I said earlier, you deserve whatever bad attitude she showed you." Ella said with anger in her voice.

"Seriously? Is this how you treat your blood brother? can't stay alone. I need to be with someone for some days. And I can't think of who else to go to. You are my sister. Please can Istay here for some days? And please can you

"Seriously? Is this how you treat your blood brother? I can't stay alone. I need to be with someone for some days. And I can't think of who else to go to. You are my sister. Please can I stay here for some days? And please can you stop making me feel worse about my break up with Sharon?" George said. For the past few days, he has not been confortable in his house. He has been lonely and he hasn't spoken to neighbours. His DJ business has been on hold. He cancelled all appointments and jobs he got for that week. He needed emotional support and that was why he came to Ella, his younger sister.

"Yes! I'm treating you this way with my full chest. So, it is now you are realizing that I'm your sister? When you were busy training another lady in school, you didn't remember me. When I brought my result to you and asked for help to further my education, you did not remember that I'm your younger sister. When you bought a car for Sharon and paid all her fees while I was idle at home, you didn't know I'm your sister. Please, I don't want to hear more from you. I was busy in the kitchen before you arrived. I'm going back to continue my cooking. When you are tired of staying here, you can go back to your house and enjoy your ride with

Sharon and leave me out of your problems because I have got mine to deal with." Ella said angrily and left the living room.

Ella has practically struggled alone to get to the level she is in life. She is the only sibling that George has and she was thinking that when she finish her secondary school, she would go straight to the university since her brother had the money to pay her school fees. She was roundly disappointed when George refused to help her. After months of pleading with him to help her without success, she decided to abandon her educational pursuit temporarily and learn handwork. That was how she became a tailor. As fate would have it, she became successful in it. Through tailoring, she bought a nice car and a small house for herself. She is now angry that her brother who once left her in the cold and followed Sharon is now back with tears.

A few minutes after Ella went back to the kitchen, someone knocked at the door. George was still at Ella's living room but he was too emotionally tired to stand up to know who was knocking. It was Ella who came from the kitchen to open the door. She was shocked to

see Sharon

"Good morning Ella." Sharon greeted with a smile on her face. Ella did not respond. She has never liked Sharon.

"What are you doing here? Why are you in my house?" Ella asked.

"I was wondering if George is here. He is not at home and I'm worried about him. Did he come here?" Sharon asked.

"Why are you worried about him? I thought you two are no longer together? Why are you still concerned about his wellbeing after you heartlessly broke up with him?" Ella asked.

"Common Ella, he is human and he was very good to me when we were dating. So, even if we are no longer dating, we can still be friends. That we broke up does not stop ups from caring for each other. Just tell me, is he in your house? I have a message for him." Sharon said.

"Come in." Ella said. Sharon followed her into the living room.

"Hi George. I went to your house to look for you

"Come in." Ella said. Sharon followed her into the living room.

"Hi George. I went to your house to look for you but you were not there. My wedding is coming up and I thought it would be nice to invite you. Here is the invitation card. You are one of the people who are important to me. You have been there for me all through my university journey and I think it would be wrong to have my wedding without you in attendance. Please, want you to be there." Sharon said as she stood up and left.
