Lust Next Door - S01 E08

The sun was blazing high in the sky and Serena's mind was wrapped around her upcoming afternoon plans. She was dreading mostly every part that had to do with Connor but excited to see this mystery greenhouse.

After living here for years she had never noticed it back there. Her curiosity would be the death of her.

She sat at her desk fumbling her fingers over her keyboard, trying to create words and scenes and finish her pages before her editor finished her. Her deadline was slowly creeping up on her and Serena was crawling in progress.

Alas, all she could think about was her meeting with that pain in her ass of hers.

A couple hours passed and Serena managed to finish up the chapter, smiling at her fluorescent screen and stamping a period triumphantly at the end of her sentence; satisfied with how this chapter turned out.

Only eight more to finish though...

She glanced over at her clock and saw the time, 12:16 pm.

She shot up from her desk instantly and ran out of her office. She definitely should have set an alarm but when the words flow, the words flow.

She ran up the stairs, her clumsy legs nearly missing every step. Serena ran into her room and ripped out whatever clothes she could find, she just knew if she was even a minute late Connor would give her hell for his own twisted gain.

And she really didn't want to deal with that.

She ripped open her dresser drawer finding only one pair of jean shorts she never wore because of how little they looked on her, she never felt comfortable in that. This is what she got for forgetting laundry day.

Serena groaned, "fuck," and grabbed the shorts. She jumped into them while simultaneously trying to wiggle into an old white high school volleyball t-shirt that was three sizes to big for her.

Nevertheless, she jumped into her gardening boots and ran down the stairs while tying up her long brown locks.

After she grabbed her gardening tools, she was out the door by 12:28, and jogging towards his backyard.

She panted slightly, not used to that much physical activity. Serena walked up to the entrance of Connors pool, knocking on the gate.

After a moment the gate swung open and Connor, very slowly, looked her up and down before bursting into laughter.

It was then that Serena actually looked down at herself. The t-shirt hung way down past her shorts, making her look ridiculous and stumpy with her bright green rubber boots.

"My my," Connor smirked and leaned his arm against the gate, "you didn't have to get all dressed up."

Serena blushed a soft shade of pink and glared at him before shoving the bucket of tools into his chest and walking past him into the pool area. She was already regretting her decision.

"I was rushing, I didn't realize it was so big."

Connor carried the bucket after her, letting the gate swing closed. "Why so mean shortcake? I was just complimenting your dress." He snickered and put the bucket on the table.

"Forget it, I'm leaving." She whipped around and started to bolt for the door, but Connor quickly snatched her waist in his hands and pulled her back into his chest.

"I was kidding around, calm down Rena." He mumbled down into her ear gripping her waist possessively hard.

Serena was thankful he couldn't see the burning color on her cheeks or the pleasured shock in her eyes as she felt his hard body against her.

"Here," He slid a hand slowly up her body, sending delightful shivers down her legs, and moved his hand up to her hair where he grabbed the hair tie.

Connor pulled it loose from her hair slowly, only her fast beating heart audible in the thick moment under the hot sun. He let her hair tumble messily around her shoulders, his firm grasp on her tracing the small dip on her waist and his hips just brushing her round ass, "I'll fix it." He whispered huskily, his warm breath tickling her ear.

She resisted her body's temptation to lean further into his. Standing firmly in place, scared to move and cause an avalanche of her own dirty desires.

Connor slide both his large hands down her side, flattening the shirt to her body, tracing her small waist and curves.

Serena inhaled sharply and closed her eyes as he gathered all the fabric in the back and tied it with her hair tie, "there, forgive me?" He set his hands on her hips, her knees feeling like like green jell-o.

She took a deep breath and a large step away from him, the cool air in her lungs snapped her out of her trance. Distance needed to be kept from here on out.

She looked down at her shirt now tied behind her back, it still wasn't the most flattering thing but she could see her jean shorts so it was an improvement.

"You're forgiven. But only for that, you're other transgressions still stand unresolved." She wrapped her arms around herself noticing how much cooler her body was, absence his presence.

"Whew, such a relief. I worked hard for those transgressions. Wouldn't want them to be forgiven." He smirked and narrowed his eyes at her, "ready to see this thing?"

Connor took her out the back gate leaving the pool area. His backyard was much bigger than she expected, from her view she saw a very limited portion over the large fenced in area. The tree line sat high, filtering the sun through its large leaves and dusting the grass with light.

"This way." He said and she followed behind his long legs as best she could, Connor carried the bucket of her tools under his arm.

Time to see if this greenhouse was worth all this trouble.

She started to spot a bit of glistening light in the distance, Serena squinted her eyes at it until they approached it closer and the shapes took form.

Then her jaw fell open. The structure was a beautiful picturesque piece of art, it stood tall, with lots of overgrown brush twisting up its sides. There was a small gazebo leading up to the main doors with an intricate glass dome over head that dazzled Serena.

She'd never seen such a fairytale building in real life. Even the metal framework that held the old glass was beautiful, with twist details curling at the edges. All the vines growing up the side and weeds scattering the edge almost attributed to its antique beauty.

Serena was absolutely stunned, just seeing this building made her fingers buzz with with inspiration. She almost turned around and booked it for her house to seize upon this new found inspiration and write.

Of course it needed lots work, she was shocked someone like Connor was blessed with something like this and even more annoyed he was gonna do nothing to restore it. But Serena could see right through the dismay and too it's potential.

"Damn shortcake, at least get on your knees with your mouth hanging open like that." He rolled his eyes snapping her from her day dreams.

Oh right he's still here.

"You're such a perverted idiot." She scoffed at him.

"Not my fault you're gawking at some building, you look stupid." She retorted and dropped the bucket on the ground.

"You're clueless to the beauty of this building and it's infuriating it would have just sit here and rot with you as it's owner." She retorted, at him and narrowed her eyes playfully.

"Sooo, that sounds to me like you're gonna fix it up?"

She grabbed the bucket and walked past him, "not by myself, you're helping. You're not saddling all the work to me."

He laughed and walked after her, "Fine shortcake, but can you not wear clothes that make you look like a hopeless virgin?"

She shot around and glared at him, "Then, can you not be such a self absorbed fuck boy with muscles that only look good to a drunk person?"

"Looks like we both won't get what we want." He glared right back, hostility already lacing both their faces and they haven't even started yet.

This was gonna an interesting journey.
