Savvy and Flora's P.O.V ... Tears and The New Girl

~~~~~~
Okay, I've been meaning to do this ... here's a brush-up on who's who and what's going on:
Savvy = likes Allen ... and Vinny ... Savvy not too sure yet if she fully likes Vinny.
There is something there but Savvy's not sure yet if she feels the same for Vinny as she does Allen ... Savvy lives with her grandmother, who is a drunk. Her mom left Savvy when she was little, but is now back in town.
Maddy = lives with her crazy big family, has an over-protective dad. Is slowly feeling something towards Tory ... cough ... (Kye: ooooo!)
Kay = I haven't really talked about her family yet ... she likes Dylan and is now getting over her old love, Christopher, which is Maddy's brother.
Hope = Lives with her dad and half brother (Scoti) ... Hope's mom doesn't really trust her ... she is dating Tom.
~~~~

The Slut Club = Flora, Jess, Miley, and Helena.

Helena = dated Troy, but wants Allen. (Kye: Ew)

Jess = Dated Dylan and is in love with him.

Miley = I haven't really explained her ... YET!

Flora = Dated Troy and is wanting him back.

~~~~
There you go!!!
Hope that clears a few things up....
Here's the chapter you've been waiting for!!!
Savvy’s P.O.V
I sat up slowly, because my head was killing me. At first, I noted that my surroundings were unfamiliar, but soon I realized I was in a living room, Hope's living room.
How the hell did I get here? … I thought to myself.
The sound of something rattling behind me, made me jump. Turning, I saw Tom standing there, holding a glass of water, and bottle of Advil. He smirked before holding out his hand with the offerings.
“Thanks.” I muttered as I took the water and Advil. I popped two of the pills in my mouth and swallowed them down with the cool water.
“No problem … Do you … Ummm … do you remember anything from last night?” Tom asked me. I squinted my eyes and I tried to remember what happened last night. I was afraid that I did something totally embarrassing. Last time I think I got this drunk; I woke up in the bathtub of someone's house. It was like a Kesha 'Take It Off' remix ... Squinting my eyes some more, I forced myself away from the other memories, to what happened last night. Then it all came to me, and I sighed.
“Unfortunately, I do.” I stated, and then moved a blanket off me. Tom exhaled loudly and sat down on the table top next to me. His eyes bore into me. “Don’t you have a girlfriend to stare at?” I asked. The moment I said that, I realized it was very mean. “Sorry, I'm not much of a morning person.” I noted. He chuckled.
“Neither am I.” I looked at him, and then wondered why he was talking to me. At school, I'd seen him, but never really talked to him. There were a few times I did speak to him, like last month, before this whole dare thing … I was short a dollar for lunch, and he gave me a dollar so that I could eat, and of course I thanked him. I smiled at the memory.
“Hope is so lucky to have you.” I said, as I realized he was much nicer than most guys in the freaking town. Tom grinned and nodded.
“Thanks.” He mumbled in a low voice ... I don't think he was use to people giving him compliments.
“Just telling the truth,” I honestly admitted.
“You can do better, you know … We know you're just trying to like Vinny, because you're hopelessly in love with Allen ... But Savvy, Allen isn't the best guy for you … he has things going on in his life that you can't be involved in …” Tom stopped talking and looked at the ground. I knew he was hiding something. I had a feeling he knew exactly why Allen wasn't dating me, and why Allen's mom was so against it.
“What? What's going on in Allen’s life that I can’t be a part of? Is it his mom?!” Tears started violently coming down my face. I felt like I was being left in the dark about something I wanted to be a part of whereas no one wanted or could tell me what was going on. Last night, I was so close to having Allen tell me, but Vinny interrupted us.
I started crying so hard that Tom got off the table top and hugged me. “Shhh, calm down, Savvy.” He held me tighter as I cried harder.
“P-p-please, j-just tell me it’s my fault …” I sobbed. Tom rubbed circles on my back, trying to comfort me and get me to calm down. A minute later, Tom gave me a light kiss on my forehead.
“Savvy, it's not your fault. I won't lie to you and say it is.” He told me in a low voice. Minutes later I controlled my tears and pushed Tom away. He reluctantly let go of me.
"Sorry for asking you to tell me that it was my fault. I just don't understand why Allen broke it off with me. I mean, why couldn't he fight for me ... why couldn't he stand up to his mother for me? What makes his mom so damn powerful?" I asked in a low murmur, but I knew Tom could hear me. He let out a sigh, but said nothing. "I should go." I stated to him as I stood up and stretched for a second. "Thank you, Tom ..." He nodded and stood up too. "... No really thank you, I've no idea how I'd been able to break up that fight between Vinny and Allen last night."
"It wasn't a problem ... Allen and Vinny lack many manners, and not fighting in the presence of a lady is one of them." I gave Tom a genuine smile.
"Tell Hope I'll pick her up for school on Monday." I walked out Hope's house.
It didn't take me long to reach my house. I pulled in the drive way, and stared at the green car next to my grandmother's. Curiosity got the better of me as I looked at the unfamiliar car. I got out of my own and walked towards the front door, but stopped when I looked through the window. In the living room sat my mom and my grandmother ... and they were ... laughing and smiling. I didn't know why, but seeing them smile made me start to cry. I walked back to my car. With tears streaming down my face, I pulled out of the driveway.
The streets seemed like they were flying past me, as I made my way to a familiar stop. Walking into the lobby I went to the service counter. The woman was talking on the phone, before turning her attention to me. She put up her index finger, asking for me to give her a minute. I nodded and glanced around the lobby. I tended to come here, Essential Suite (a hotel located just a mile from my grandmother's house) when I wanted to be a lone, or my grandmother was either too drunk, or just being plain hateful. It was lucky for me that my dad puts money into my bank account which I opened up last year. He says that it's his way of helping me...
His job required him to have to travel a lot so he is never around. That’s why I couldn't go live with him when my mom left me at my grandmother's. So to clear his guilty conscience, he sends me a thousand dollars every month.
"Hi, welcome to the Essential Suites, are you checking in or out?" The woman asked me with a fake smile, which I returned.
"Checking in." I stated and she typed some things into the computer in front of her.
"Okay. Is there a certain room you're looking for?" She asked me.
"No, just a single bed." I told her. She nodded and then handed me a room key. The woman informed me of my check-out time. I simply nodded and walked down the hall towards the room.
Monday morning, I got up and quickly got ready. I was already running ten minutes late, and I'm not one to be running behind schedule. I raced to Maddy's house to find her on the porch looking down at her phone, smiling. The first thought that crossed my mind was, Maddy's texting a guy. You could see it in her eyes, the way they sparkled and she had a grin from ear to ear. She was so concentrated on the phone; she didn't notice me pulling up in her driveway. I honked at her. She literally jumped up a foot in the air in surprise. I laughed, whereas she glared at me. Quickly, she pushed a button on her phone and ran off towards the car. I looked in my rear view mirror and saw Troy coming out of his house. He stopped and took out his cell phone from his pocket, and looked to be reading something. A smile fell on his face and he looked over across the street at Maddy. He grinned wider when he saw her ... Something was up, because when she got in the car, she was blushing.
"So, what's up?" I asked her as we were driving off towards Kay's house.
"Uh, oh, nothing."
"Who were you texting when I pulled up?" I quizzed her. Maddy tried to hide her blush, but I could see it as clear as day.
"I was texting ... Hope."
"Really? Hope, umm, what got her up so early?" Maddy's pressed her lips in a thin line, which is something she does when she was caught in a lie. Silence consumed the car, and I was tempted to break it, but the ringing of Maddy's phone made me keep my mouth shut. I just kept looking at her in the corner of my eye as she read a text message. She let out a giggle. "What did Hope say that's so funny?" I asked, by now Maddy knew very well I didn't believe her. So, she didn't have to lie to me anymore, she decided to remain silent.
STORY CONTINUES BELOW
It irked me ... I had to know who she was texting ... I needed to know. I had a million questions in mind to ask her, but I asked not one. I was scared that she really didn't want to tell me. Thought that it hurt ... that she thought she couldn't tell me. I bit my tongue, hoping she would cave in sooner than later and tell me who the hell she was texting and why she was so giddy.
Maybe it was Troy ... My mind suggested ... After all, you saw the way she sent the text message and seconds later Troy walked out, and his phone rang. He read a message and then smiled, plus he looked across the street, at Maddy. That made his smirk grow wider looking at her.
Maybe, my mind was right ... Detective Savvy was on the case ... and would find out.
<><><><><><><><>
I walked down the hall, trying to avoid two people, Allen and Vinny. Oh, how every bone in my body didn't want to face them for the simple fact that I had no idea what I was going to do when it came to those two. Tom was completely right, I felt something towards Vinny, but was it just me trying so hard to get over Allen? I saw something like this happen before, example: Kay and Christopher. She loved him so much, and when he left, she put all her emotions into the idea of being with Dylan. She tried too hard to get over him. Yet, in a sense it worked, I can tell she no longer felt the strong, lustful feelings she felt before when it came to Christopher. No, she's truly fallen for Dylan. As for me ... I didn't think I'd truly fallen for Vinny. Because, unlike Kay and Christopher's situation, Allen never left. He has always been by my side every day. So I've never gotten the chance to forget and move on.
"You aren't listening to a word I'm saying, are you?" Hope asked and she capped a marker that she was drawing with. I sighed and looked down at my class assignment.
"Sorry, I just ... have a lot on my mind."
"Oh, I'm sorry, I've been sitting here talking about me, and how my mom thinks I am pregnant because she found out Tom spent the night-" I cut her off.
"Wait?! What?!" I half shouted. Half the students in the class room looked over at me. I flipped a few of them off, but stopped when I locked eyes with the teacher, Mrs. Hastings.
"Two weeks detention Savvy." The teacher told me, before turning to the whiteboard to write our homework.
"Ape brain." I mumbled, Mrs. Hastings whipped around and faced me.
"What was that?" She asked.
"I said 'Awe Man' because I had planned on after school all week to go to the food bank, and hand out food to the poor and needy children that plague this city." I lied with a fake smile. The teacher's eyes narrowed at me. I grinned harder. I think I was having a staring contest with my teacher. When Mrs. Hastings blinked I jumped out of my chair. "I won! I won a staring contest with Mrs. Hastings!" Hope giggled, but Mrs. Hastings glared at me.
"Four weeks of detention ... Ms. Smith. Starting tomorrow." I wrinkled my nose at Mrs. Hasting using my last name. She smirked in satisfaction before turning to the board. With her back to me I stuck my tongue out. Someone behind me chuckled; I turned and saw Vinny looking at me with a smile. I couldn't help but notice the big black and blue bruise on his left cheek ... Memories of Saturday flooded into my head.
STORY CONTINUES BELOW
Why did we have to have the same classes?! Once his eyes caught mine, I looked away, trying not to be mad at him.
<><><><><><><>
"Savvy, why are you ignoring me?" Vinny asked as he cornered me at the end of class. I sighed and put my hands though the straps of my backpack.
"I'm upset that Saturday night you busted into the room and grabbed Allen by the shirt and just started beating the crap out of him. He did nothing to you."
"It's okay for him to hurt you for no reason, but I can't kick his punk ass for no reason?"
"He didn't physically hurt me." I said.
"They always say emotional pain is worse than physical." His words were true, but I still didn't feel like what he did was right.
<><><><><><><>
Flashback:
"Enlighten me then, Allen. Why do you let your mom choose who you date?" I asked, before taking another drink. Allen reached out his hand for the bottle in my hand.
"Well, if I am going to tell you, I need a drink." I handed him the bottle and he took a long drink. His face scrunched up as the burning liquid went down his throat.
"Now speak." I demanded, grabbing back my bottle.
"Savvy, my mom's not like other moms. I've never been able to fully trust her, because what she does for a living-" Allen was suddenly thrown back. Standing beside him was a raging Vinny. "You little shit!" Allen roared at Vinny.
"I think you were told to stay away from her, and I'm here to make sure you do." Vinny stated. They lunged at each other. I stood up, with a wobble.
"Ssstop!" My words were slurry, but I knew they could tell what I was pleading. None of them paid attention as fists went flying through the air. Vinny was able to trip Allen, who fell to the floor. "Plleassse! S-stop!" All the sudden Tom came in the room and grabbed Vinny by the collar. Tom pulled Vinny off of Allen. I watched as Tom stood in front of Allen and Vinny.
"Now you two need to settle this, or take it outside, because I'm not taking the chance of one of you morons having a fight in a room, and accidentally hitting Savvy. Because believe me when I say, I'll kill either one of you if that happens." Vinny and Allen looked disgusted at Tom’s words.
"I'd never hurt Savvy." Allen said, his eyes glaring at Vinny.
"Oh, you think your display of love for Helena downstairs didn't hurt her?" Vinny asked Allen.
"You son of a bitch!" Allen maneuvered around Tom, and punched Vinny Square in the face. Tom grabbed Allen and restrained him.
STORY CONTINUES BELOW
"Enough!" Tom called as Vinny took advantage of Tom holding Allen. Vinny repeatedly hit Allen. Tom let go of Allen and grabbed Vinny. "Get out of here. Can't you see this fight is making Savvy upset?" Tom asked. Both looked at my tear-covered face. Vinny and Allen fell silent and looked full of guilt.
"Savvy, I'm-" Vinny began to say.
"Get out, both of you." I stated in a stern voice to Allen and Vinny. It took them a moment, but soon they decided that it would be for the better, and left. Once they were gone I downed the rest of the alcohol, not listening at Tom telling me to slow down.
END OF FLASHBACK
<><><><><><>
"I'm sorry, Savvy." Vinny said to me as he looked at the floor in shame.
"I forgive you." I told him, before walking out of the room.
I walked into the lunch room and went over to Hope, Maddy, and Kay. I noted that Kay was glaring at Dylan, as he smirked at her. Maddy was sitting at the table, staring at the table top, humming. That's weird ... she never hums. Troy walked pass me and put a tray of food in front of Maddy, he gave her a smile, which she returned...
Wait they're not fighting. They're smiling and the look in their eyes ... love.
"Holy shit! You two had sex!" The words came out of my mouth quicker than a race car. I was floored, the sexual tension between them was gone, and replaced with ... love. Maddy looked at me with wide eyes. She was shocked that I guessed ... right. But, it all made sense, the smiling and texting ... the no tension ... the smell of love radiating off of them.
Maddy's expression of shocked changed and was replaced with a crimson-red blush.
"Oh my gosh, Savvy is right." Kay butted in. Maddy stopped blushing and was starting to look pissed.
"Butt out of it, you bitch." Maddy spat at Kay. Kay sunk in her chair and fell silent.
"Control your girl," Dylan told Troy. Troy stood up.
"You should control your tongue." Troy fired at Dylan. Dylan stood up in anger.
"You little fuck face." All the sudden an arm grabbed mine and lifted me up out of my chair. I turned and saw Allen. He led me out of the lunch room as Troy and Dylan started pushing each other. We walked out to the court yard and Allen turned to me. I saw he had a busted lip and a black eye. My heart sank; he had really gotten a beating from Vinny. I reached up without thought of what I was doing and brushed a hand over his face. Allen's hand gripped mine and removed my hand from his face.
"Does it hurt?" I asked him.
"Not anymore." He told me. " ... Savvy, I've told my mom." He said. I became confused.
"Told her what?" I asked.
"I told her that we're dating ... she basically said the same thing as she did last time ... but this time I didn't give in. I stood up to her! Because, Savvy, I can't stand not being with you! I really can't live one more second without being by your side. You are like the air in my balloon. I love you." My breathing became irregular and my heart was racing.
STORY CONTINUES BELOW
"I've wanted to hear those words come out of your mouth for years. But you have a couple of problems, mister." I stated.
"What ... What is it?"
"One, who said I've forgiven you for breaking my heart, last time? Not to mention the fight with Vinny. I might still be mad at you about that. Two, what gave you the idea that I still want to date you?" I questioned him. He gave me a hurt look.
"Savvy, I will beg for your forgiveness every day I walk this earth, because of what I did ... letting my mom take over my life, is not how I want to live. Though now I need to keep a close eye on you, no doubt that my mom will want to lash out ..." His voice became low.
"What would she do to me?" I asked. Allen looked me in the eye, pain crossing his face before he controlled himself.
"Savvy, will you go out with me?" He asked me, changing the subject.
"Not until you answer my question." I told him. He sighed.
"Come on, a date with me this Wednesday, and I'll tell you everything."
"Wednesday is, like, two days away! I can't wait that long!" I admitted, he smirked.
"Patience, my love." I rolled my eyes.
"If I agree to date you, promise not to call me love, it sounds like you are from the 18th century." I said, he smiled and placed a kiss on my lips.
"I promise ... so is that a yes, you'll date me, again?" I looked into his brown eyes.
"Allen Gordon, how can I say no to the man I love?" I giggled and kissed him.
Flora's P.O.V
"Flora, sources say that they have been telling each other secrets. What will we do if they are truthful to one another? We have nothing against them?" Helena started to whine at me. I gave her a look to shut the hell up.
"You know, they have more secrets." I glanced over behind me at a black girl who was smiling at me. I can't help but think I knew her from somewhere."My name is Isabelle, and I'm a former friend of Kay, Maddy, Hope, and Savvy ... I know so much more than you can ever dream of when it comes to them." I gave Isabelle a skeptical look. "Things they won't ever dare tell one another." She said with an evil smile.
"Meet me at Cafe Dooley after school." I told her. Isabelle nodded and walked away.
"Who is she?" I asked Helena, she just shrugged her shoulders.
"She's a new student, just transferred last week." Jess told me. I nodded ... wondering what Isabelle knew ... wait how could she know things about Maddy and them if she just moved here?
"She went to middle and parts of high school with them and they were all best friends. Isabelle moved last year at the beginning of the school year ..." Miley stated.
I guess we'll just have to see what this Isabelle has on Maddy and them ... because, honestly, those bitches are going to suffer if I have anything to do about it...
