Emeka closed his eyes as the spear went up coming down to pass through his heart. Ifeoma has finally killed him. His spirit will never let her know peace.

The deed took longer to be done. He ought to have felt the pain by now. He heard something fall to the ground. He opened his eyes immediately and was the spear.

“What is happening? “The old man was bitter.

“This is strange ” He added

“Baba what is the problem? let me do it myself ” She suggested.

“Keep quiet woman. I told you to lock him in a room throughout yesterday for a reason. He must not sleep with a woman for a period of 24 hours before the sacrifice and you are aware of that but your sugar waist will not allow you let him be ” The baba was very angry.

“How could I have done such a thing. I didn’t sleep with him ”

“Then who did? ”

” Baba please try again. Drill the spear through his heart. Nobody had sex with him. He was locked up and tied.If you want I can come and do it myself” Ifeoma was impatient. Who could have slept with him? He was tied up and locked.

“Keep your mouth shut woman. Are you saying the gods do not know what they are saying? Do you want to commit blasphemy? You might not be able to pay the price.Be careful” The old man picked up the spear,stole a look at Emeka for the last time and commanded that they take him away immediately.

Ifeoma eyes turned red with anger. Why should things turn out this way? After all she went through to get him. Who must have done this or is the man really telling the truth? Is there anything Ikenga and Okoro are not telling her. They are the two people she paid to look after him and they were the ones that even brought him to the shrine.

“You are the eyes of the gods. Help me find out how this happened” Ifeoma pleaded.

“Take this young man away from here now! ” He was losing his temper.

Ifeoma was almost in tears.The men refused to say anything. She told them to take him back to the uncompleted building and lock him there. She will come and make him speak by all means. He must tell her how it happened and as for those two useless men, both of them will force their legs into the same trouser with her if they don’t tell her what happened.

“listen to me woman. We promote the gods a fresh sacrifice and the gods are not men. They must be given what they are promised” The old man said.

“What do I do now. Please help me. I don’t want to incure the wrath of the gods” She pleaded.

You have the whole of today to provide the woman that slept with him. Her private parts must be sacrificed to the gods to appease them.Then after that, you can bring the young man. If you fail to produce the woman who slept with him, Arusi ga atu down tigbuo gi. The gods will come after you and kill you. You must provide her today or face the consequences ” The old man warned and asked her to change her dress and leave.

Okoro and Ikenga were still on the way with Emeka, walking through the forest,leading him back to where he was locked up. Okoro vowed never to say anything. He knew Ifeoma so well. She will come against him if he told her how it happened. Ikenga didn’t know how it happened. The deed had been done before he came out that morning.

Okoro did not blame himself at all. To him, it wasn’t his fault. It was morning and his Odogwu was still standing. It was the girl who came to help calm down his Odogwu. At first he wanted to push her away but he couldn’t remember the last time he did it. He remembered that opportunity comes but once so he capitalized on that opportunity. He remembered again how she turned and bent down for him to get to action. She gave it to him for free and on a platter of gold. He wondered how her honeypot was so warm that cold morning. He inserted only his Odogwu but the tight hot honeypot warmed up the whole of his body. The cold was no where to be found. The sound produced as their bodies clashed was a type he never heard before and her soft moans… Oh those moaning was so angelic. He wished she can come to him again. He wondered how it would be if she gets on top of him to ride the living daylight out of him and if he eventually gets a chance to hit her missionary. He would be well prepared to last longer than how he lasted that morning.

They were still on the way when five tough looking guys walked out slowly from their hiding. Okoro and Ikenga knew at once that these men had no joy in them. They stopped moving and stood still to ascertain what was about to happen.

“Who are you and what do you want ” Ikenga was the first to speak. There’s no he will take these men on a fight with Okoro. They would be surely defeated. Emeka who was blindfolded didn’t see anything but he sensed they were intercepted by someone or a group of people.

“We do not want to have any problem with you.Who are you and what do you want? ” Ikenga asked these angry looking men who didn’t utter a word but held tightly to their weapons. Some were with big sharp cutlasses.One held an axe while another was with a hunters gun. He was the only one with a gun.

“I am Tina. And I am here to finish what I started ” Tina spoke emerging from her own hiding place.

Emeka was filled with rays of hope on hearing that. All the bitterness he harboured against her already disappeared the moment the native doctor demanded that they take him away from his shrine. He could have been a dead man by now if not for what Tina did. At first, it looked awkward to him. How could she come to him that early morning to have sex with him. She had said that she was trying to save him but he didn’t believe it. It turned out to be true. He must find a way to appreciate her if he gets out of here.

“Untie him now” She ordered.

“Impossible. That cannot happen. You are playing with fire Tina and that fire will consume you. ifeoma will consume you ” Ikenga replied.

“Yea. She will consume me but you will go ahead of me into the land of the dead then I will come and join you later ” Tina said and her men moved forward to attack. Okoro and Ikenga had to fight for their dear lives but they were no match.

They laid in their own pool of blood while Tina untied Emeka by herself and loosed his blindfolds.
