The trip to where Rome had kept it a secret is at hidden park. I am glad when the ride comes to end, it was a long one since Senna hijacks the shotgun together with the conversation the entire ride. I just sat at the back and drew my attention to my candy crush game. I am so high up in the ladder such that I fear they may e-mail me and tell me that they could no longer make new levels for me.

As soon as we alight the car. Two guys and a girl walk towards us with a huge grin.

"Thought you had bailed on us." One of the guys says. He is a short athletic guy with a well groomed beard.

"Told you, he couldn't." The girl says eyeing the first guy. She has an hour glass figure that she proudly displays in a sweater dress that hugs her curves.

"It is understandable if you did. You know..." The other guy says nervously. He is a tall guy with smooth features and an easy look on his eyes. That immediately eases your nerves.

The girl hits him with the ball in her arms.

The ball bounces on the guys' torso and rolls to my feet. I bend and pick it up just as the girl reaches for it.

She looks up and her sepia eyes pierce through mine. She has a round face with a smooth skin that is almost transparent. Her thin lips turn upward in a warm smile as she picks the ball from my hands.

"You must be Athena." She says.

I nod surprised she knows my name and wonder if Rome told her, and if he did. Then they must be aware of my predicament. I become self conscious being sorrounded by these strangers that know my business and I know nothing about them.

I nod glancing over at Rome who throughout has been staring at me and seems to sense my discomfort and moves near me.

The girl continues to talk

"I am Fiona, over there is Noah..." She points at the short bearded guy. "....and this big headed guy here is Remy." She finishes with the guy she hit with her ball.

Their playfulness makes me wonder if they are a thing.

"You should try to look less nervous. We hated Esme." She whispers and I am the only one that hears her.

Rome joins the guys and I am left to walk with Senna and Fiona. I keep looking around the huge trees that sorround us.

I have passed through this road many times. Noted the trees and thought it was just a mini forest or the city conservatory. Didn't think within it, there was this sleeping paradise. I fall in love with it immediately.

"Careful with your bag there are monkeys that grab things from people." Fiona warns.

I look up and true to her words there are monkeys that are on the trees swing from tree to tree.

I hold my bag tightly.

"Do you often come here?" I ask since Rome is not near to ask him that.

"Every Sunday to unwind." She answers by turning to Senna, "I thought you would spend today with Esme?" She poses a question to her.

"She told me she would be busy." Senna answers and I remember on most Sundays, Mason's family come over. I would prepare food, clean the entire house with no or little help and at the end of the day I choose sleep over eating.

Probably that is why she is busy. I feel guilty that I am relieved that I don't have to be in her shoes today.

The place is quite cool. we cross a small bridge that leads us to what seems like a hotel with a pool in front of it. There are few people. I assume just like me, few people know about this place.

"We should head to the bathrooms and change to our swimming costumes and join the boys. Later we plan on playing against them in a football match." Fiona says.

"I hate those bathrooms I will just change out here." Senna says and wonder if she will just get naked or she has her costumes inside her non-existent dress.

"And here I thought you were already in your swimming costume." Fiona comments, addressing Senna skimpy attire.

Senna rolls her eyes and goes the opposite direction where the boys are already seated.

"Esme and Senna are no one's friend not even to each other don't entertain her. " Fiona says as we change and by now I have relaxed around her. She seems honest and cordial.

I just give her a quick nod and smile. I don't want to be part of Esme's game or even her friends.

I did carry two types of bathing suits. A bikini and skirted bottom. I decided as I packed them that my mood later would dictate which to wear.

As I bought them, I had Mason in mind. I was sure he would be blown away once I wore them. Well, it never came to pass.

I opt for the skirted bottom and Fiona wears her one piece. She looks great. With her body I think she can pull off any type of clothing.

When I look up, the corners of her mouth are slid upwards. "It still has its tag." Fiona reaches for it and pulls it, reaping it from my top.

"I haven't worn it yet." I say smiling awkwardly.

She is easily amused, she smiles. something she does too often. It never takes long for her next smile. Her eyes smile first and the rest of her being follows.

"Let's go at least when the sun is still up." She says.

I attempt to take a step but as I move I catch a glimpse of my reflection in the mirror.

"I will join you." I tell Fiona as she leaves.

I exhale glaring at my reflection and the more I stare, the more self conscious I become of my exposed skin. It is my first time wearing a swimming costume and being this exposed. It fits well but feels weird. I carried a hoodie Incase we would be out till evening and I decide to wear it over my swim suit and fall to my mid thighs. The hoodie is big since it belongs to Mason and took to remember his scent.

When I get back I find the group is already in the water except Rome who is shitless and in a plain blue trunk. As I head towards him, I find my breath hiking and don't understand why. I halt in front of him. I quickly avert my gaze when it fall on his chest and take in a sharp breath.

He looks up at me, "Are you okay being here?" He asks cautiously.

I nod and sit next to him. Senna stops swimming and her eyes fall on me dangerously and start to regret my earlier answer that I was okay hanging out with his friend.
