My Daughter's Teacher - S01 E25

I haven't slept in my bed in so long I done

forgot what the damned thing felt like. I started

sleeping on the couch because I couldn't bare

to sleep in the same bed as JJ.

I was extremely upset with him. I called Lilian immediately after and to my surprise she agreed with him! The only other person I could go to was Fin- and just like his girlfriend, he sided with JJ.

I was upset with everyone at this point. And to make matters worse both Raven and Ashley texted me lengthy ass paragraphs cussing me out. I knew an apology wasn't going to do anything yet I apologized anyway.

I felt terrible. I felt so terrible I called off from work! Reggie had to do my interviews and he hates doing interviews.

I did try to text and call Salem but she had me blocked. If I were in her position I would have done the same thing but I would've wanted an explanation first. Of course everyone doesn't think that way though so now I'm stuck here without a way to communicate with her. I miss her.

I fucked up so bad I went to JJ's mom for advice! I usually go see her to tell her about her son but today it's wasn't completely about him.

I sat on her black leather couch waiting for her to return with a bottle of wine.

JJ's dad, Lorenzo, was very sick so he was also on the couch. He was laid down on the other end watching some crime show on his tablet.

When Jocelyn returned I happily grabbed one of her glasses in her hands and poured myself a glass. I still had to wait for her to sit down because she had to refill Lorenzo's iv bag.

It only took her two minutes. She's quick with her hands. I've always adored that about her.

"Alrighty, Miss Hanes, to what do I owe the pleasure?" Jocelyn said, pouring herself a glass of wine.

"I fucked up so bad, Jo." I sighed.

"Jason fucks up all the time?"

"It's not about him." I sighed, "It's about the hot teacher I was telling you about."

"Oh shit!" She gasped, "what did you do?"

I grabbed her hand and told her everything. She stared at me with wide eyes and her jaw on the floor. Lorenzo was even shocked. His tablet was resting on his stomach and there was no longer sound coming from it. I could feel him staring at me too.

"Enzo, do you hear this?" Jocelyn asked her husband.

It took him a few seconds to pull up a certain app on his tablet.

"Holy shit." The voice said.

I chuckled then remembered what I just explained. My smile dropped so fast.

When Lorenzo was forty-eight he was diagnosed with a very rare disease. I believe it's full name is 'Detroniosious Syndrome' but we called it 'Detro' for short. It affects the brain, spine, and vocal chords for some reason. He became non-verbal at fifty-two. We noticed his speech becoming hard to understand a couple years ago so Jocelyn downloaded APP2Speak so he would still be able to communicate with us.

It helps him a lot.

People with Detro become extremely vulnerable to infections so his IV bag is constantly being refilled with antibiotics to keep the infections away.

"Alright so this is what you're going to do: You're going to call her and apologize and then you're going to buy her lots of things. After that you're going to prove to her that you understand that you fucked up but you're going to fix what you did. Then you're going to fuck Jason up for not giving you a chance." Jocelyn explained, refilling both of our glasses.

"She blocked me. I can't talk to her." I sighed.

"Seems to me like you don't want her as much as you say you do," She shrugged, "You're not willing to fight for her the way you're supposed to. If there's a will, there's a way. Fix what you did and get your girlfriend back."

"My god I love you."

"I love you too. Now I'm actually going to kick you out. It's bath time for mister Jackson over there."

I nodded and gave her a hug. I then walked over to Lorenzo and gave him a hug too.

"Bring Halo next time!" Jocelyn called.

"I got you." I chuckled, walking out the door.

I love JJ's parents so much. They're so understanding and unlike my parents, they don't give a fuck about who their child dates.

Once I returned home I immediately went to the bathroom so I could shower. A shower was going to relax me.

"Where were you?" JJ asked.

I hadn't noticed he walked in.

"That's non of your business." I answered.

"You're mad at me?"

"Why wouldn't I be?" I made eye contact with him. "Are you unaware of what you did?"

"I well aware of what I did I just don't understand why you would be mad at me," He scoffed, "Are you aware of what you did?"

I don't have time for this today. I'm already not in a good mood and him acting clueless isn't going to help. Instead of responding I turned the water on and went to pick me put something to wear.

I remembered that I needed to go over to Lilian's house to pick up the sonogram photos of her alien. In a few weeks we were going to find out the gender. And on top of that she and Raven decided to have a joint gender reveal! Why would they ever get pregnant at the same time?

"I get the silent treatment?" JJ laughed, "You're so mature, Harlow, I love it."

Again, he didn't receive a response.

He mumbled something under his breath as he walked out. I didn't care. I'm not his biggest fan right now.

"Mommy!" Halo yelled.

"Kitchen!"

Halo came running into the kitchen smiling ear to ear. I take it the frozen yogurt was good.

"Me and Atticus both had white stars so we got frozen yogurt like daddy promised! It was really good but now I'm hungry and I want real food."

"Good job, Baby!" I smiled, "I'm cooking dinner right now so go do something to keep yourself occupied until it's done."

"Okay," she nodded, skipping out of the kitchen.

I'm happy she had a good day at least. I, on the other hand, did not. And I get to spend the rest of my day on the couch figuring out how to get my girlfriend back.

I wonder what would've happened if I told her instead of Jason. He didn't give me a chance so I guess I'll never know.
