"Hello?" I hear her voice as she knocks on the door and opens it slightly.

"Hi my love." I stand up from desk as she walks in and shuts the door, a bag of takeaway in her other hand. "What are you doing here?"

Can we all collectively pretend that shoes don't exist in this chapter? It really felt like I was killing the mood any time I tried writing about taking them off and even leaving them on.
