Emma's face suddenly looked pale.

She brought me here, she should've expected that it'll be brought up.

"U-uhmm.."

"Uhmmm...!" I imitated her and that makes her mad.

"Will you stop mocking me? Do you think I like what's happening right now? Huh, Jen? Do you think I'm enjoying this?"

"I'm not mocking you, I'm asking you a question. Because you know, he stays with you for 2 days and I was suddenly out of the picture. So yes, just a question this time."

She was looking at me like she was gonna cry. My heart softened at that but I fought myself not to give in.

She put me through hell in that 2 days. Nothing to hold on to, not even a single word.

"You know what Em, never mind. don't answer that. I'm out of here."

Again, I got up. She didn't stopped me this time but when I stood up, she held my hand.

I froze as I heard her sob. I felt her face in my hand as she cries.

For a minute I didn't know what to do. I stood still and waited for her to speak.

"I'm sorry, Jen. I am so sorry."

She looked up to me with her eyes full of tears.

I suddenly felt sober.

Looking at her eyes, her sad eyes, I forgot my own pain and just felt hers.

I sat again in the couch while our eyes still locked.

This is the first time I saw her in this state. I wanted to blame myself for pushing it, I mean, should I?

I just sat there quietly, not knowing what to say to her. I guess I'm waiting for her to calms down and pulls herself together.

She was still holding my hand and i have no plan on taking it back. She seems using it for strength or something.

"I didn't mean to hurt you, Jen. I just, I guess I needed time to settle things out and I didn't handle it very well. It ended me causing you pain and believe me, I'm hating myself every second of it."

I stared at her and tried to absorb every word but it makes me more confused.

I guess it was written all over my face as she continued.

"He's... He is my fiance."

Is.

I took a deep breath as I felt a sharp pain crossing my chest. If it's possible to die now, I will. Or let the floor swallow me whole.

The sight of our hands together suddenly makes me want to rip my heart out.

I never thought looking at it would be this painful.

Her fiance? What is she telling? That everything between us is just a big joke?

"W-what? I-I don't understand." I managed to ask her.

I stood up as i speak.

"Is that why you don't want to put a label on what is this between us? Is..Are you.. Are you freaking kidding me?"

I didn't expect to raise my voice but it did. The pain turned to anger and boy, I'm raging with anger.

I took my hand back and stared her down.

"Y-you don't understand."

"Then fucking make me."

I'm so furious that I felt my eyes were fuming with fire.
