I am happy!

I really am!

Having to be with Emma every day after school is just pure joy.

Our "relationship" has been on for a month now and I gotta say, we're going strong.

Kate is still my friend but I make sure that the distance is there. I didn't tell her the arrangement between Emma and me, I guess I just wanted to keep it private.

Though I finally came out to Sam. I still remember how shock she was when I told her that I am gay. Her eyes were so big and her hand were fanning her face and couldn't utter a single word.

And the first thing she said was, "You bitch! And you're telling me just now? We're friends for how many years blah blah blah!"

In the end, she accepts me. The second person that accepts me. I just hope my family would feel the same when the time comes that I will tell them.

Sam and I were at the cafeteria having our lunch when Kate passed by with her friends.

"Hi, Jenny. Do you guys want to join us?" They sat 2 tables away from us.

I looked at Sam and she shook her head.

"Uhm, no thank you. We're just about to be done." I smiled at her and her friends before turning my face to Sam.

"Dude, is there a problem?" I asked her.

"No, It's just that, I don't like her." She shyly looked at me and given me a weak smile.

"What? Why?" I can't help but ask. I know their not friends, also I didn't tell her what happened in the past between Kate and me, so honestly, I can't see a reason why wouldn't she like her.

I sensed that she wasn't comfortable talking about Kate when she knows that she was in the same room.

"Come on, let's walk." I stood up and she followed me. Before leaving, I nod at Kate.

I lead her at the bench near the field. I patiently waited for her to open up to me, I don't want to scare her and made her think that I'll be picking sides.

They are both my friends and I'm hoping that I don't know, maybe someday they'll get along or something.

"I know she's your friend, but there's something about her that I don't like, you know?" She was looking at me, trying for me to understand her.

And when I didn't say anything, she continued.

"The way she looks at you, it feels like she wanted you more than friends. I know it's weird, but that's how I feel."

I kept quiet giving her the time to finish.

"And dude, it's cool you know, if you like her too. Now that I know you're gay, it's very cool. It's just that, she has this vibe like behind those polite greetings, her smile, there was a hidden agenda, a bad one to be exact."

She saw that my face was now confused, though I didn't say anything still.

"I don't know dude, I feel like she's faking being nice. But like I said, I know she's your friend and I have nothing against her. It's just that."

It followed a long silence.

I was trying to understand what she was telling me at the same time, tried to remember the times they met. Like how Kate was greeting her, or how she looked at me. And I don't see anything wrong at that.

But of course, I don't want to tell that to Sam. I respect her feelings towards Kate and I'm not picking sides.

"Well, If that's what you feel. At least now I know, and dude, I respect that, okay?" I looked at her side and flashed her a smile.
