My girl Neighbour -S01 E11

As the days passed by, Emma and I got closer and closer. I was sleeping over to her place most of the nights and my Mom was fine about that. I know I should've stop or should be more careful. Coz whatever I'm feeling for her, it's getting stronger and I have no idea how to fight it.

She's different. I don't know how different but she is.

Aside from her appearance that is so perfect for me, she's funny and smart and like what she calls it, she's an adult and more experienced than me.

She's still going on dates and those nights are not my happiest.

I cannot say anything about it but to show my support because I am her friend. Yes folks, I got friendzone. I'd like to think that I am the Mayor of that zone coz of all the advice and the tap on her shoulder every time her date was just horrible, plus the hugs I am giving to comfort her.

2 more weeks before the school starts and how I wish I can make the time slow but every time I'm with Emma, time flies. Just like last night, we were just playing Jenga and whoever looses gets wiped with a lipstick in the face, it was really a fun night and when I looked at the time it was already past 11. We were playing for 4 hours without knowing it, it just felt like an hour to be honest. See, time flies.

Our nights actually consist of cooking, eating, watching and playing games. Well, aside from the nights where she has a date. And those nights consist of me moping around my room, waiting impatiently and dying of jealousy. Pathetic, right?

It is a Wednesday night and I'm lying on the couch staring at the clock to hit 06:30.

I ran through the door as the clock hits 06:30. I was about to ring the bell of my neighbor when the door opens and she popped out still on her office clothes.

"Hey, where you off to?" Is she in a hurry? Does she has a date and forgot to tell me not to come over?

The pinch on my chest was there again thinking about it.

"Hi Jen, you're just in time. Let's go." She grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the building.

Even I'm confused, feeling her hand intertwined with mine gives me this feeling I couldn't explain. My stomach is feeling funny and her hand with mine felt like its perfect there.

"Wait, where are we going?" even with the electricity coming from her hand, I managed to ask her.

"Relax, we're just going grocery shopping. Hop in." she let go of my hand and gestured me to sit on the passenger side, the emptiness when her hand left mine is there again as well.

"And you have to abduct me for that?" she looked at me ungodly.

"As if you'd resist." Yeah right. She could take me wherever she wants and I'm not gonna say a word.

Only 10 minutes we're pulling up in the parking area of the grocery store and for the whole trip she was memorizing the things that she has to buy, like out loud. We even argue about it.

"You should've made a list, you know."

"Why would I make a list? I know exactly what I need to buy."

"Ohh, right. I need soap, shampoo, a new comb, what else do I need?" I mimicked her and that serves me a pinch in my arm. Then blah blah blah.

We were already inside and she's grabbing everything that she needs but from time to time she's asking me what else she needs to buy.

I cannot believe this woman.

And then again we will argue about her not making a list.

But I gotta admit, I like arguing with her. Well, sometimes I just mess with her just to annoy her or something.

Some people in the grocery store are looking at us, they may be thinking that we are a couple arguing about stuff that we need to shop.

We are already in the personal hygiene aisle when I bumped in to another person, I must not be looking on my way as I am still arguing with Emma. We both lost our balance and next thing I know the person collided in to me fell and stumble on top of me. My back hurts when it touches the floor plus the person on top of me was heavy.

"Oh my god Jen, are you alright?" I heard Emma as she helps the stranger stand up.

"Jen?"

I was still on the floor, my eyes were closed as the pain shoots my back. But I know that voice, there's only 1 girl who has that voice. I open my eyes to confirm my suspicion and to my surprise,

It was Kate.

Of all people.

And I'm here, with Emma.
