EPILOGUE.

From Daniella’s point of view.

My son Miracle is all grown now. He is a very smart and intelligent boy who is currently 5 years old.

For now, he is staying with my parents in the village while I’m currently working in a well-paying company here in Abuja.

Life hasn’t been easy especially now that I’ve become a single mother who has a son and her parents to take care of.

Well, as for Nathan, he is doing just fine where he is. I heard he recently got himself another wife after much pressure from his parents who were desperately in need of grandchildren. Which left me wondering how he intends to give them grandchildren knowing he is still infertile.

Hearing the news, I felt happy that he has healed from his past and is finally willing to give love a second chance. And as such, I wish him well in all his endeavours. And I am still hoping that one day he will come to his senses and realise that his son needs his presence in his life.

As for Caleb, he is currently married to Alice. They both got married a year after my divorce from Nathan. And so far so good, they have two children and are living in peace. And to date, I’m grateful for not ruining the beautiful life they had. Because of the forbidden desire I and Caleb once had for each other.

As for me, I’ve learnt from my mistakes and I’ve embraced my present and let go of my past, but I can’t say I am all that interested in getting married again. For I have this fear of my past repeating itself.

That withstanding, I currently have suitors coming my way but you know how difficult it is for a single mother to find true love or let alone get married.

Most especially when you had a rough and ugly past. Nevertheless, when I find the right person, then I might as well have a change of heart and give marriage a second chance.

Note, my story isn’t supposed to scare you away from marriage. Because my fate differs from yours. And not all marriages will end like mine. But before you venture into marriage, have it at the back of your mind, that getting married doesn’t guarantee you will be together forever. And love is not enough to keep your marriage from falling apart.

In actual fact, it takes your unwavering love for each other, respect, and most importantly, trust, understanding, friendship and faith in your relationship to make it work.

And above all, you need God to make it a forever deal. Otherwise, when the devil strikes as he did to mine, you might not be able to withstand the storm.

Always remember that it takes two to keep or destroy a marriage. One person can never do it alone except the two agree.

Looking back now, I’ve come to realise that the major mistake I and Nathan made, was not making God the foundation of our marriage. And secondly, the very moment, I agreed to lay with Caleb on our matrimonial bed, was when we openly welcomed the devil into our home.

So I hope you learn from my past mistake. While I’m hoping to do the right thing when next I get married. But until then, I have a family to take care of. Bye!!!!!
