Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 18

(At Nathan’s house)

Nathan and Caleb arrived and quickly rushed Daniella who was in severe pain to the hospital.

(At the hospital)

Nathan and Caleb sat in the waiting room impatiently waiting to hear the doctor’s report on Daniella’s condition.

A while later, the doctor walked out of the emergency room and motioned them to follow him to his office.

Arriving at his office, they both sat opposite him. Then Nathan impatiently asked,

“Doctor, how is my wife and the baby?”

Then taking a deep breath, the doctor responded,

“Your wife is in perfect condition but unfortunately, we lost the baby,” He said.

“What! No. no. no. Doctor. This can’t be” Nathan said grabbing his head with both palms in anguish and pain.

“I’m sorry Mr Nathan. But no need to worry. Because as long as you and your wife are in good health, you two can always have another baby” The doctor said.

Then raising his head, Nathan angrily stood to his feet and slammed both palms on the table almost giving the doctor a heart attack.

“I don’t blame you, doctor. Because you don’t know what I did and how far I went to get her pregnant in the first place. Otherwise, you won’t sit here blabbing nonsense!” He fumed

“I don’t understand. Did I say anything wrong?” The doctor marvelled.

“I apologise on his behalf doctor. He is currently not in his right frame of mind” Caleb stepped in.

Then quickly pulling Nathan’s hand, Caleb dragged him out of the doctor’s office.

“Nathan. You have to calm down. Okay?” Caleb said trying to pacify his anger as soon as they stepped out of the doctor’s office.

“Don’t you dare tell me to calm down Caleb because you don’t have the slightest idea of what I’m passing through at the moment! Tell me, why would Daniella lose that pregnancy knowing what we went through to get that child?” Nathan fumed.

“But why are you taking it out on Daniella? Why are you pushing the blames on her? Come on Nathan, from what we both know, Daniella wanted this baby more than anyone else. And don’t forget she sacrificed a lot to get that child. So doing anything that would harm the baby is the last thing Daniella would do. And you know it” Caleb said.

Hearing this, Nathan angrily left the hospital without bothering to check on Daniella.

Heaving a sigh, Caleb made his way back to the doctor’s office where he settled the bills before making his way to the public ward. Where he found Daniella sobbing bitterly.

Seeing her in such a situation, Caleb couldn’t help but feel pity for her. He stood staring helplessly at her not knowing how to react, what to do or what to say to her.

Then after a while, he walked up to her.

“I’m sorry for your loss” He awkwardly said.

“Thank you, Caleb,” Daniella said quickly wiping off her tears. Then looking at the entrance, she asked,

“Where is Nathan? Is he at the doctor’s office?” Daniella asked

“I’m sorry Daniella” Caleb apologised rubbing his forehead.

“Why are you apologizing to me? Where is my husband?” She asked staring at him.

“He left earlier to calm his head I guess” Caleb responded.

When Daniella heard this, she lowered her voice and said,

“It must have been so unbearable for him,” She said fighting back tears.

“I was told you are free to go home now. So if you don’t mind, how about I accompany you home?” Caleb awkwardly asked trying to get her mind off Nathan’s absence.

Being left with no choice, Daniella agreed to the offer.
