David pov

I drove her home and carried her into my room. She only laid down on the bed starring blankly at the ceiling. I went to get her something warm and gave it to her.

She sat down and collected it with a “thank you”.

“Let me prepare you something to eat and if you need anything, kindly let me know”.

“You don’t need to prepare anything, I am okay with this warm tea. It soothes my heart, can I get more of it?” She asked with a puppy eyes while I collected it and poured her more of it.

She gulped it down in an instant and stretched her two hands.

“You are tired, let me take care of you” I said and removed her sandal.

“I will leave the room now while you changed into another thing, everything you need is in the wardrobe” I said leaving the room.

I gently remove my gown and wrap a towel around my chest, I walked up to the wardrobe to look for a shirt to wear but fortunately, it was filled with ladies wear. I was surprised and shocked.

What is ladies wear doing in the wardrobe and it contained lots of it. This is David room, I don’t understand.

I picked an harmless gown and left it on the bed.

After showering, I creamed my body and put on the gown. My collar bones were visible , I picked up a shirt to cover it. I need to regain my body.

I gently laid on the bed for a long sleep but was interrupted by boluwatife call.

I placed the phone on my ear

“Where have you been, I am hungry with the kids and all you could do is to came late. Won’t we eat in the house?” She asked with a raised tone.

“It’s better you all d!e in hunger, if you as their mother can’t go into the kitchen to cook for your kids.. then starve to death, goodbye” I replied and ended the call.

I am done pleasing everyone, if they can’t adapt to the new me, then they should all leave me alone. I am tired of constant sadness.

I switched off my phone, close my eyes and went to sleep.

David pov

Folakemi never left the room after I left earlier, I decided to check on her and met her sleeping soundly.

I watched her figure and sighed harder.

I had prepared the room against her visit to my house, I was obsessed with her and planned her outfits beside my wardrobe.

Who could have believe that she will ever sleep at my house after the incident that happened before.

It is beautiful watching her from afar while she snore lightly. I gently close the door and went to sleep in another room.

After two months.

Steven pov

It’s been months that Adebayo and Dorcas are dating each other, he is even planning to marry her. Marry who? My own personal girlfriend!

I met Dorcas when I came back to Nigeria and had little cash with me, I fell in love with her and we are dating each other not until Adebayo complained about what is happening in his family, I…. being his old friend need money, I planned with Dorcas to duped Adebayo but unfortunately, they both fell in love with each other. I don’t want to loose in both sides. I won’t see money and won’t get my girlfriend, it’s not done. I will warn her off.

I went to Dorcas new apartment, Adebayo got it for her after meeting each other. I switched on my phone recorder before entering the house.

I met her wearing a bum shorts with a short undis revealing her abdomen, she look tempting.

“Hi Steven, any problem”.

“Is that our agreement?”. I asked

“Which agreement?”.

“Don’t try to play smart with me Dorcas, you know what we both planned before dumping me at a side”.

“Steven, you know that I am a sharp girl, you are too d*ull mehn and you don’t have money like your friend. I simply go for the best” she replied crossing her legs.

“Hmm…I don’t have money, and you have the audacity to open that d!rty mouth to tell me that, you have forgotten that I have no money when I lavished the remaining money with me on you. I have no money when you like rocking me every night, you are w!cked”.

“Who is w!cked between the both of us? Hnn…you wanted to du*pe your friend and I am harmless wife to be. Who is w!cked between us?”.

“I know that a day like this will come, a woman like you like throwing away an agreement, that is why I am going to teach u a lesson”.

“…shut up mister man, before you do anything to me, I am going to report you to your friend. I will tell him that you wanted to dupe him and wants to force me into it. Did you think you are smart? I am smarter than you phool”.

“No probs” I replied and left the house.

Adebayo pov

I arrived at the building I bought for Dorcas when I saw Steven leaving the house, is he looking for me?

I walked into the house and met my baby in a bàd mood.

“What’s wrong dear? I saw Steven leaving the house. What happened?”.

“You know how tempting I look right! I like dressing this way on your behalf not knowing that your friend is eyeing me. He wanted to rape me today”. She said bursting into tears.

“What?He wanted to do what”.

“He wants to rape me…If not for God intervention”.

“Sorry my baby, I am going to deal with me. He cease being my friend today” I replied bringing out my phone.

I dialled his number but it’s not reachable.

“Don’t worry dear, you will call him later. I am hungry bayooo”. She said sitting on my lap

“What did you want to eat?” I calmly asked but am boiling inside for what I heard earlier.

“I just fixed my nails and can’t cook as usual, let’s go to the restaurant to eat…but firstly, I missed your body”

“I know that is the first thing you want, I like your underwear, it revealed your br….St” I said touching it while she smile.

“You know that everything is for you, let’s start from here” she replied rubbing my head and gently kissed my lips.

I roughly sucked on her lips and remove her undis.

To cut the long story short, we made love on the chair before dressing up for the restaurant.

We locked our arms together and walk into the restaurant. I got to the counter when my eyes caught two familiar people eating and laughing.

I excused myself from Dorcas and walk straight to the two people.

It’s been two months since David started taking care of me, it’s been blissful and I’ve regained my youthful life back. I don’t normally stay at my husband house because he no longer come home. His younger sister is still living in the house with the two kids and I stopped cooking for everyone. I only went there to sleep sometimes or pick few things.

David respected his boundary with me in his house, he never approached me for any love. He still believe that I am married and cared for me like a friend.

He insisted in coming to the restaurant this Evening and ordered for what my mouth can’t contain.

I keep questioning him about how my stomach will contain all the food when he burst into laughter.

“Have you forgotten that you are a foodie” he replied.

“Who is a foodie?” I asked feigning anger.

“You of course” he replied pointing towards me.

I dragged all the food to my side while he watch with keen interest.

“Now, eat it all” he instructed while i shake my head.

I was about to push his food back when someone approached us.

I look up to see Adebayo coming closer to our table.

David noticed my mood and saw him. He told me to continue eating while I scooped the rice into my mouth ignoring Adebayo presence.

“Two Adult*erous people are finally here” he said loudly while we focused on our food ignoring his presence.

“Shàmeless people don’t longer cover their acts, it is now the time to bring it out for everyone to see. Imagine a married woman with a bachelor going out. They are so full of the stûpid act” he said shouting out loud which attract other people in the building.

I am burning in anger while David calmed me down.

He stood up and move closer to Adebayo.

“Does it hurt your soul that I have polished the dull gold you left behind?

“Does it hurt your heart that she is with the man that deserve her?.

” A marriage without trust is nothing but a facade. You trusted an outsider than your own wife. You left your home in disarray not caring about the woman you once married. The only regret I had in this life was that, I didn’t met her earlier. I wasn’t the first man that took her virginity away. She kept herself for an adulterous man like you and what did you do? You finally left her for another worthless b!tch. You forgot your marriage while your family treated your wife like ragh. Have you ever wonder where your problem came from? Your wife didn’t commit any adultery before you married her AND your first believe was that she will commit one after getting married to you. You had a problem and you couldn’t solve it. You rather go out there to chase another woman. Is your problem now solved? Is your new woman fruitful? I am asking you mister man, don’t just stand there and keep starring at me like a lucozade boost” he shouted at him.

Adebayo sluttered for a moment

“…if you didn’t commit ad*ultery with her, then what about the video?”.

“Have you ever asked her about what leads to it? You didn’t give her the chance to explain, she was drunk and depressed while I rescued her in the bar. I brought her to my house because I don’t know where you guys live. She regained her consciousness and depression set in”. He paused and continued

” She isn’t in control of her mind and asked me for a favour which is what you see in the video. I refused her favour…but the woman that gave you her video is bent on destroying her home. We never had anything together. You don’t have the right to call her a cheat because you have moved on with your life, you now have another woman while you left her alone. I have polished her to my own taste and I am never letting her go”.

I went emotional after hearing what David said.

He truly loved me.

“What is she now doing here with you?” Adebayo questioned.

“Ask your creator, what are you also doing here with another woman, we are here for a peaceful meal, if you don’t mind, can you leave?” David angrily replied.

Adebayo walked out of the restaurant in anger while a lady run after him.

I felt proud of myself that instant.

David defended me in the midst of everyone and I feel like hugging him straightaway.

I can’t control my emotions and tears slipped down my chin.

“Thanks for standing by me David” I said while he patted my hand.

I couldn’t continue with the meal, he packed the meal while we walked out of the restaurant.

We got home while he close the door behind.

I run up to him for a quick hug.

“Please let me be in this position for two minutes, I need all the warmth in this Earth” I said while he hugged me back.

David pov

She is so emotional today and accepting her decision is the best thing to do.

She released me from her tight grip and went to sleep in the room.

I really love this woman.
