I opened my eyes to see the empty space on the bed. I checked the time and it was 7:30a.m. slept alot.

I slipped out of the bedroom to wash my face and brush my teeth before moving to the sitting room.

Everywhere is silent with no one around, but I could scent the aroma of fried chicken. I walked up to the kitchen to meet Adebayo frying the chicken. He look so serious in his white apron and didn’t notice my presence not until I coughed out loud.

“Oh dear, you are awake. How is your night?” He asked turning off the gas cooker while he washed his hands. He kissed me in the forehead and lead me to the dinner.

“Have your seat sweetheart, while I serve your breakfast” He said and quickly run off to the kitchen. I felt happy at that instant, this is the kind of joy I always want to experience in my home. I am so lucky to have Caring people around me, it makes me more happier.

He came with a tray full of food.

He served the meal while we both ate to our satisfaction.

“Is this how you will be pampering me everyday?” I asked munching the fried rice in my presence.

“Yes….it is what I always prayed for”

“You are a man and whatever you are doing is my duty” I expressed myself

“You are my woman not my slave, I will do anything in this world to please you. Marrying me means you have signed for a lifetime happiness” he replied while he poured me a glass cup of juice. I thanked him while we both ate in silence.

We both left the dinning room to the sitting room to watch few programs because we are not going to work. I have a week leave while he is ready to stay with me without going to work.

“Dear, did you know that I was afraid few months ago” he said playing with my hair

“Afraid! Why?”.

“I am afraid that David will snatch you away from me. Who won’t be afraid of such. I run a background check up on that guy and he is stinkingly rich . Who won’t like a guy like him plus he’s got good looks than me” he said looking down at himself.

“I don’t care about all those attributes, all what I care about is our love..either he gets good looks or not is none of my concern . Did you think I am going to leave you? It’s not done. We have been together and I know how much you have done in my life. I can’t let you down”.

“That’s why I love you alot dear, thanks for standing by me. Alot of women are not like that, they would have fall for him”. Where will you like to go for today? I mean…I wants to take you out”.

“I don’t feel like going anywhere, I just want to stay with you at home all day starring into your deep brown eyes” I confesses while he roughly pulled me towards his chest. I lost myself in that moment while we shared a passionate kiss. He gently draw down my night gown while I gasped. He noticed my mood and slip it on back.

He move away from me and focus his attention on the television. I know he is trying to control himself. I pitied him and move closer to him while he managed to smile at me.

“I am sorry Bayo, you already know what is on my mind. Just a small time and you will have me to yourself everyday” I expressed while he hugged me.

“It’s okay, I have adapted to it and without doing it won’t k!ll me” .

I felt sleepy and yawned,

Just then, my phone ring while Adebayo went in to get it for me. I thanked him and press the green button.

“Hello” I said over the phone while Atinuke giggled loudly.

“Have you done it?” She asked excitedly over the phone while I felt shy. I quickly cover the loud speaker while Adebayo smile.

“You are not serious tinuke, does your husband knows that you are this naughty? Asking me that question”.

“I am serious, I wanted to be sure if it.

Girlfriend, you need to do it, you cant keep suffering yourself this way, don’t you get tired of staying too long”.

“Tinuke, I will call your husband now and report you to him. It seems that you are feeling horny because if not for that…you won’t be asking me about doing it or not.

“How did you know?” She asked over the phone.

“It shows in your voice, is your husband not around?”.

“He has travelled for over two weeks now and I missed him dearly”.

“Just for two weeks…babe, you like this thing ooo. How is my child?” I asked changing the topic.

“She is fine, she is in my mother in law place . I couldn’t go to shop today and I feel so lonely at home”.

“Eyahhh….sorry dear, keep enduring it”.

“Or should I go to David’s house? I want to check something?” She jokingly asked laughing over the phone.

“What did you want to do there?”. I asked

“Just to greet him”.

“Greet him…as what? Is he celebrating something?” I asked.

“Just for greeting, can you send me his address?” She asked laughing over the phone.

“I have always known you to be a naughty woman, cut off the phone” I said laughing out hard.

“I was joking, anyways, my greetings to Adebayo. Thank him for standing by you all these years. I am a married woman and I knows when a man is being truthful and loyal to his girlfriend. He is truly a loyal soul, I haven’t seen a man like him waiting for his girlfriend all these while. You really need to thank him. He truly deserve you and I want the best for the both of you, I am saying this from the deepest part of my heart. Have a nice day, I need to cook something before sleeping back” she said ending the call.

I felt emotional at her words. I won’t leave Adebayo. He deserves me.
