I walked into my room after Leaving my dad presence, mum is not yet back from the village and I missed her dearly.

I unlocked my phone to chat with my bossom friend Atinuke. She has been my confidant, I shared literally everything about my life with her.

She is married to a lovely man with a kid.

She promised to visit me the next day.

I dropped my phone and went to the kitchen to prepare daddy’s meal. The old man take only light food as dinner.

I served his food into a plate and placed it in a tray.

He thanked me and I left afterwards.

Entering my room, my phone beeped and it is no one than my dear Ade…bayo.

“Hello babe” he said over the phone.

“Hello love”

“How are you doing darling?”.

“Fine as usual, I just left your place this evening and you can see that I am fine”.

“I want to apologise on my mum behalf”.

“I have forgotten about what she did, she is testing me to be sure that I am good enough for you. I don’t think there is anything wrong with it and I have forgotten, you promised to tell me about your dad younger brothers and I want to know everything about the rest of your family”. I chipped in

“Don’t worry dear, you have all the time in the world. I will tell you everything tomorrow. Have you eaten?” He asked Changing the topic.

“I am still full from what I ate in your house. Boo, I want to rest. I am exhausted today”.

“Alright dear, I won’t disturb you. Have a lovely night and sleep tight”. He said over the phone and end the call.

I went to the bathroom to take my shower before sinking into the large bed.
