I woke up with a sneezing due to the strong smell of cigarettes.

I looked around the dark room and couldn’t find the so called stranger….

What’s going on, where I’m I???

I stood up and tiptoed to the door, but pause on hearing the voice I was expecting….

“Going somewhere??”.

I gulped and turn to him ” who are you….what I’m I doing here… Pls just let me go…. My mother will be worry sick about me.” I pleaded with him, hoping he will buy my word..

He scoff before opening the curtains.” It’s another good day,and I must say you’re a heavy sleeper….. I will give you five(5) minutes to dress up…..we have a bus to catch and I don’t wanna be late” he said….

I furrowed my brows…..this isn’t what I asked him and this isn’t the reply I’m expecting from him.

” Sir….I begged…..

“I will leave you to dress up “. He said and walk pass me.

What!!!!….is he normal at all.

I scoff and sat on the king-size bed, waiting for him to come back from his endless journey.

Some minutes later….he walked in and paused taking in my appearance with a frown….

“Why are you so stubborn… collateral”

I gasp at the name he called me.” My name is Nora and not collateral.”. I corrected” and for your information,I won’t dress up or go anywhere with you …. You can’t come out of the blues and take over me as what!!!” I fired back.

“Let me out now that I’m being nice or I will scream and tell everyone that you’re a kidnapper”. I warned.

He walk towards me with a heavy step and grab me ….

“Since you don’t wanna change….then You’re leaving in this”. He point at my transparent night gown.

I quickly snatch my hands off his grip and cover my breasts.

“You bastard….help someone help me…..he wanna rape me!!!” I scream like a manic.

My scream suddenly subside when I receive a deafening slap…

I gasp and held my left cheek….

He did the same to my other cheek and I don’t know when I broke into tears….

“I’m sorry…. Pls don’t slap” I begged in tears.

“Now change into that” he ordered angrily and I nod my head.

I stripped in his presence and change to the trouser and top he brought, no panties….no bra.

I sneez and look up to him. “I’m done”I said with a hoarse voice.

He glared at me for a while before muttering the word” follow me”.

I cleaned my tears and followed the unknown man going to God knows where

And that’s how my life begun…..I started living with a stranger not knowing anything about him.

His aura screams fear…and I can’t afford to annoy him.

We arrived at owerri where he reside…

He board an Uber that took us directly to his house…. And I also noticed that he isn’t a fan of public bus.

Imagine paying for four(4) seat.. on the norms that he don’t want another person sharing seat with him.

As the Uber dropped us in front of his house, he paid him his outstanding balance and head in…. Me following him like a slave.

Their compound is just a one (1) storey building with Six(6) flats…

He lead me into his apartment and I gasp at the interior decorations…..

Everything screams money, numerous ring light, golden cushion,AC, standing fan,ceiling fan etc…..

I haven’t check the inside so I said the ones I saw.

“Collateral….the room over there I yours….. I hope you can cook??”he asked

“Yes sir” I answered immediately..

“Good… I will be out for some hours…

Don’t try anything funny because…. I get eyes on you. Make sure you prepare something for me before I come back” he said before leaving.

I bit my lips and blink back tears….

Mama, what’s the main reason you choose to use me as a bait…

I sat on the floor crying my eye out….

Is this how my life will be…..living with a complete stranger.

How will I see my mom and my siblings…

How’s my mom faring…..

God pls take care of my mom…. She’s all I got
