Nightclub Chronicles - S01 E03

Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 3

Her tongue was soft, very soft and her mouth tasted like caramel. I couldn’t believe that I was doing that in a club. I felt like everyone had stopped dancing and was watching us. When I separated from her, I realized I was just suffering from what we call in Psychology , “imaginary audience”. No one was even looking our way except for one guy dressed in white and seated by the counter.

Tessy was busy dancing but I could bet she was viewing us by the corner of her eyes. We started kissing again and my hand moved up to her chest.

“Hey!! Watch your hand” She said, half-heartedly.

“Why?”

“Bad boy”

I laughed and was about to unbutton her shirt when the club lights changed and suddenly brightened. I quickly adjusted. The guy in white was still intently watching us. The lights dimmed again and I was about to resume what I was doing when Tessy moved up to us. I was terribly vexed by the interruption.

She sat close to Nessa and whispered something in her ears. A second later, they both moved to the toilet. I waited for a short while and followed them. The female toilet was separated from the male one. It was therefore only logical if anyone wondered what I was doing at the female toilet.

When I got to the entrance, I was stopped by a beefy and muscular bouncer.

“What do you want here?” He asked.

“My girlfriend is inside” I told him. “I need to talk to her urgently.”

“You can’t, I mean you won’t” He said in his thick voice.

“Look here boy, there’s no cause for alarm. I just need to talk to the girl. I will be out again before you know it.”

He showed me his palm and I understood immediately. I reached into my pocket and pulled a two thousand Frs. bill. I gave it to him and he let me in. I went into the hallway that led into the various urinary for girls. I found no one there. I couldn’t just open the doors to the toilets. Anybody could be inside and I didn’t fancy being slapped by a drunk female. I came back to the bouncer and asked.

“Hey Bro!! Those two ladies who just moved inside; could you please tell me where they are?”

He pointed to one of the doors. I was about to go inside when the door opened and a strange girl came outside. I was beginning to have the feeling that I just might have wasted my 2k for nothing. I came back to the door of the toilet and was about to ask the guy to give me back my money. I changed my mind when I saw the size of his tattooed arms.

I turned to go back to my table when I saw Nessa and Tercy emerged from one of the doors. They went to a large mirror in the hallway and arranged their hair and then, you won’t believe it. They hugged each other and kissed for a while. I was shocked beyond words. I quickly retreated and went back to my table. Five minutes later, they both came back, arranging their dresses.

One of the guys who had moved to our table at the beginning of this story, asked Tercy to dance with him. She agreed and they moved a few steps away and started dancing to the rhythm of Patoranking’s “Abule”.

I was sipping my bottle of Smirnoff when I asked Nessa

“Do you do women?”

“Why did you ask?”

“I saw you and Nessa kissing.”

“You did?” She was shocked but not alarmed.

“Yes, I did”

“Yes, it’s a girl thing. We were just kissing.”

“Just kissing?!!”

“Yeah!! What’s wrong? Well, if you must know, I actually do like women. Yes, it’s strange but it’s alright with me.”

At that moment, I thought she was crazy but chose to say nothing. I continued sipping my drink and watched Tercy dancing with the dangerous looking guy. The guy seemed not to respect his boundaries so I got up and half dragged Tercy back to her seat. Embarrassed, the guy went back to his seat by our table and whispered something in the ears of one of his rugged friends. The friend got up and moved towards me. The guy in white, sitting by the counter, was still watching. I got up with a bottle in my hand as I waited for the battle that was about to begin.
