Money is indeed the root of all evil, If only people would see the truth about it, they’d know that Money has been the very thing causing problems in this world.

Thanks to money, Lots of valuable and precious things have been ruined, among the things money has destroyed, they are :-

– Family, thanks to money, lots of family have been torn apart especially during inheritance.

– Relationship, that’s the easiest thing money can destroy, and this works most especially on women.

– Trust.. Thanks to money, people are no longer trustworthy, and no secrets are safe, People can easily sell each other out once they receive a big fat check.

– Peace,.. Thanks to Money, Peace is also hard to find these days.. Corrupt politicians and individuals have use money to cause finance their dirty work.

Almost every problem in this world is caused by money and if money were to be disposed off, I’m sure the world would be a better place… Karl max was right when he said society doesn’t need money.

After hearing Mr. Andrews overwhelming offer, I was trapped and confused. 100 million pounds is a lot of money and it would make me live in comfort and enjoyment for the rest of my life, the offer was just too good to resist, only a mad man would refuse to take it but then I remembered the condition of this offer, If I took the money, I’ll never see Lisa ever again.

I really love Lisa, she’s the woman I want to spend the rest of life with.. It’s easy to find any attractive woman, but it’s rare to find a very honest, understanding and loyal woman, Not only is Lisa honest and loyal but she’s like a sunshine that brightens up my heart whenever I see. If I give her up now, I’ll probably never find another like her ever again.

This b-stard father of hers really drove me into a corner, It’s either wealth or the best woman of my life.. This decision is the hardest one I’ve ever had in my life and I don’t think I can choose.

I thought of a way out of this but nothing seems to coming into my head, Then all of a sudden, a thought popped into my head. Money can be replaced many times over but not someone like Lisa.. She’s indispensable and in-replaceable, If I lose her, I’ll never get another like her. In that very moment, I made my decision, to hell with money, God will provide that anytime he wishes, Lisa is the one that matters not the money. But before I gave Mr. Andrews my answer, I decided to make him sweat as well. The b-stard shouldn’t have used money to measure his daughter’s worth.

Tobi Hmm, that’s a tough decision..

Andrew Choose! It’s now or never. This is your chance in life.

Gwen Yes.

Tobi Alright then.. I will leave your daughter alone…

Tobi Wait, I’m not done. I said I will leave your daughter alone if only you pay me 100 billion pounds.

Andrews (shocked) WHAT!?

Andrews GO EAT SHIT, YOU APE! I’m not paying that money .

Tobi Okay then, I’ll keep seeing your daughter.. Just make sure to be present at the wedding.

Tobi Do whatever you want! Do you think you can use your wealth to separate me from your daughter? Our love is priceless, it can never be bought and I’ll never leave her side. It’s a shame you can’t see your daughter’s happiness. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go back to Lisa.

In that moment, Mr. Andrews phone rang, Gwen answered the call and within seconds, she screamed and dropped the phone on the ground.

Andrews JESUS CHRIST! What happened?

Gwen (stammering) .. It’s.. Its.. Its.. Lisa! She’s.. She’s..

Tobi LISA?!

Andrews My baby girl!? What happened to her?

Gwen She’s in the London General hospital… Aunt Nicole said she passed out.. I hope she’s alright?

As soon as I heard that, I ran out of the room and straight out of the mansion.. My heart was beating really fast when I heard what Gwen, what could be possibly wrong with Lisa?

In a matter of seconds, I got to the main road and halted a taxi that was just passing by, as soon as it stopped, I told the driver my destination.

Tobi Hello..

Taxi driver Hello mate! Where are you heading to?

Tobi The London general hospital.

Taxi driver Sure, hop in.. But it’s going to cost you.

Tobi How much?

Taxi driver 10 pounds.

Tobi That’s it?.. Let’s go.. Step on it.

Taxi driver Alright sir.. I love customers like you.. We’ll be there in minutes.

Tobi Just drive carefully.

I soon got into the taxi and the driver drove like a man possessed, Lucky for us, there wasn’t much traffic on the road.

Within minutes, we arrived at the hospital, I paid the driver and rushed into the hospital, just as I was about to head into the main building, I spotted Rebecca standing close to the parking lot, she was busy smoking a cigarette. I quickly approached her and asked her about Lisa.

Tobi Rebecca!

Rebecca Tobi.. You’re here?

Tobi Yes.. Where’s Lisa?

Rebecca Relax Romeo.. She’s fine and asleep.

Tobi Take me to her.

Rebecca Okay.. Just give me a moment to finish what I’m doing.

I had no choice but to wait for her to finish, smoking was definitely bad for her health but seeing her blowing out smoke made her look so s-xy.

Tobi Smoking is wrong you know.

Rebecca I don’t care.. Besides I don’t smoke all the time.

Tobi Why do you smoke?

Rebecca It makes me calm down when I’m disturbed or in trauma.. That b-tch girlfriend of yours made my heart jump with her act.

Tobi Hey. Don’t ever address her that way.

Rebecca Or what? Come on.. Let’s go see your darling.

Right in that moment, Rebecca threw down her cigarette and stomped it on the ground, after she was done, we both went into the hospital to see Lisa.

Seconds later, we arrived at the room she was kept in, I entered the room and saw her sleeping peacefully on the bed like a new born baby, Aunt Nicole was sitting next to her on a chair drinking tea.

Tobi Aunt Nicole.

Nicole Ah… Tobi.. You’re here?

Tobi Yes.. Is she alright?

Nicole Yes.. She’s fine.. The doctor made some tests on her. We’re yet to see the results.

Tobi What happened?

Nicole I don’t know. She just passed out when she heard you were at her father’s place.. Tell me what happened over there.

Tobi He offered me a bribe to leave Lisa.

Nicole And?

Tobi I refused.

Nicole (chuckles) Poor Andrews.. I bet he must be shocked and pissed.

Tobi Yes he is.

Nicole Okay.. Why don’t you go wait at the reception until she wakes up.

Tobi Okay.

After that, I left the room and waited at the reception, as soon as I took my seat, Mr. Andrew and Gwen walked into the hospital and headed to where Lisa is. I sat patiently not looking at their direction.

In that moment, Rebecca came and sat next to me tapping on her iPod, I peeped to see what she was doing on the device, she was busy checking on some news report that talked about a painting heist, While I was peeping, Rebecca noticed what I was doing.

Rebecca Excuse me! Haven’t you heard of privacy?

Tobi Sorry.. If I may ask, what do you do for a living?

Rebecca I’m a writer and a reporter but I don’t do TV reports.. I just write blogs. What about you?

Tobi I’m a tourist guide back in Kenya.

Rebecca Nice. So tell me, where do prefer the most, Kenya or London?

Tobi London is nice… But I prefer Kenya. It’s a very beautiful place.

Rebecca Lisa told me you have lions as pets? Isn’t it dangerous?

Tobi No.. It’s not.. They’re harmless, they’re only dangerous if they sense a threat.

Rebecca Hmm, that’s nice.

Tobi Thanks.. You seem nice.

Rebecca Excuse me?

Tobi I said you’re a nice person.

Rebecca Trust me.. I’m not nice. Don’t let my appearance fool you.. If you knew who I was back then.. You’ll be singing a different tune.

Tobi Can we talk about it?

Rebecca (sighs) I don’t like to talk about it but since you insist… I’m no different from Lisa’s father, I too despise blacks to the extend I wrote an awful article about it..the book was banned and I was sued for being a racist. Some years ago, I went to Nigeria to spend some time with my cousin Carol, I said awful things to her husband and planned evil schemes that nearly ended their marriage.

Tobi What made you react like that?

Rebecca Jealousy.. I was jealous of Carol, everyone treated her like a princess despite the fact she’s half African, she gets more attention from anyone in the family.. I hated see that and I decided to make her miserable.

It was awful, believe me. I felt guilty for what I did and I’ve been trying to make amends ever since.

Tobi Well, The fact that you’re trying to make amends, shows you’re truly sorry for what you did. That alone indicates you’re a good person.

Rebecca Thanks… Can i give you an advice?

Tobi Sure.

Rebecca If you truly love Lisa..never give up on her, regardless of what others might say or think.. She loves you dearly you know, It would be disappointing if you don’t show the same affection for her.

Tobi I do love her.. As a matter of fact, I was hoping she’d become my wife.

Rebecca Hold on lover boy.. Isn’t that too early?

Tobi Nope… We’ve spent so much time together in Kenya than in England and I’ve just spent a couple of months here.. I think the time is ripe.

Rebecca So where are you going to stay after you’ve both gotten married? You don’t even have a lucrative job?

Tobi I want us to stay in Kenya.. Lisa loves it there but I’ll let her decide.. I may not have lucrative job but I have millions in my account.. I think we’ll both do just fine.

Rebecca Wow,.. It seems you have it all figured out. So tell me, how many kids do you plan on having with her?

Tobi If her womb is fruitful, I’d say 6 to 8 kids.

Rebecca My God! You’re a beast. What are you planning on establishing? A soccer club? It’s too much.. You need family planning.. You’re not marrying a Kenyan woman.

Tobi Well, you won’t be the one to decide. That’s all up to me and Lisa.

As soon as I concluded my last statement, Lisa suddenly appeared into the reception room and approached me, I too approached her and we both shared a hug and a kiss.

Lisa Darling.. I’ve missed you.

Tobi So have I. You had me worried. Are you feeling okay?

Lisa Now that I’ve seen you, yes.

Rebecca Oh God, this is so annoying !

Lisa Mind you business, tramp. Kiss me lover.

Lisa and I shared another loving kiss yet again, In that moment, Aunt Nicole, her father and sister showed up in the reception room, Mr. Andrews wasn’t pleased with what he saw. He rushed towards us and separated us forcefully, he pushed Lisa back and jacked my shirts, hurling insults at me.

Andrews You ape! You dare touch my daughter with your smelly hands?

Lisa Father, that’s enough.

Gwen Stay out of this Lisa.. It’s for your own good.

Lisa Oh shut up Gwen.

Nicole Andrew! Let him go this instant.. What has come over you?

While we were all caught up in our little drama, The doctor showed up and calmed us down by threatening to call security. After we had quiet down, he told us the results of the Lisa’s test.

Andrews What happened doctor!? Is my daughter alright? I hope she didn’t contract any diseases like STD or AIDs.

Nicole Andrew!! Have you gone mad?

Andrews What!? I have to ask to see if my daughter is okay because if she’s not.. I’m going to skin this Kenyan pig alive.

Doctor Relax sir.. Your daughter is fine.. She just needs rest, lots of rest and she needs to eat healthy.

Nicole What made her pass out?.

Doctor Well, obviously it was from shock, normally, people barely pass out from shock but in her condition, it’s common.

Tobi Condition?

Lisa What condition?

Doctor Oh.. You don’t know.. You’re pregnant!

Gwen WHAT!? Pregnant!?

Doctor Yes.. She’s a month old now.. Congratulations.

Lisa Are you sure doctor because I’m about to hyperventilate right now.

Doctor Yes.. You’re pregnant.. I ran the test 5 times.

Nicole My goodness.. This isn’t surprising at all.. I knew it was only a matter of..

SLUMP!!!

Right before our very eyes.. My father fainted and collapsed on the floor, The doctor had to call his nurses to bring a stretcher so that my dad can be carried to the room I was in previously. Amidst that commotion, Tobi picked me high up celebrating that I was pregnant with his child, i too was excited but it all seems too good to be true.
