I Do - S01 E284

We start the episode with Mahira refusing to accept the decided meher, and says that since she would be his life partner, hence she has an equal right to his property and wealth and wants half of it. She cites his estimated valuation at 500 crores, out of which she needs 250 crores. He agrees, much to her surprise and everyone’s shock.

She asks him to think, as if he divorces her, then he would have to pay the double amount, which is everything he has, and he would be on the streets. He complies, saying that the wife has total right on a husband, and she has merely asked for half. The priest asks armaan, and he willingly accepts the marriage. then its mahira’s turn, and she resignedly says yes too. The priest declares them man and wife. All are overjoyed, while mahira and armaan confront each other tensedly.

As he enters the room, set up for honeymoon night, he is surprised to find mahira with a glass of milk, and taunts her of being an ideal wife, and says that he has no intention of consummating their marriage. She places the glass down, and then comes close to him, boggling him, while she says that she was merely picking the phone. he too responds back by catching her unawares, and taking a selfie with her. She asks who is he befooling, as he wants to proclaim about their love.

Armaan tells her that if anyone has been befooled in this marriage, its her. She asks him to remember that this foolishness can cost him dearly then, as if she gets a divorce from him, he would be ruined. He asks her not to dream on about him ever taking a divorce from her, as it shall remain a dream only. he tells her that her slap is going to cost her terribly. She eyes him tensedly, and teases her that she shall be called jaan. she is disgusted but then addresses that she shall call him Jaanu too to reciprocate. Then She drinks the entire milk in front of him, while he eyes her, and then gets to sleeping, asking him not to mistake that she came to give him milk,

or demand for divorce, but to tell him that she has every right on him, and everything he has, and she shall be treated with respect, and she shall ensure him that. He says that she isnt his love, but his arrogance, and he shall ensure that she gets disrespected every moment in the house. she says that she understands that they hate each other, but they are now a couple, and she shall change him and his heart, and shall take whats rightfully hers. He says that he cant be forced. she says that it shall take time,

but he shall learn to love, as his body contains azad’s heart. He gets tensed. she lies down, pulling the covers over her. He thinks that now they shall decide who wins and who loses. she smirks. he too retires for the night, and lies down on his side of the bed, and after a vicious struggle of taking the blanket, they both fall asleep.

meanwhile, as kainat waits for sameer, since its veery late, he comes in drunk and inebriated, taunting her of being his wife. She is shocked. she asks if he knows about this beautiful night, and asks how can he be drunk. He callously comments that they have already consummated their marriage, and that bearing her, would require alcohol. She asks why he betrayed her so badly, and if he didnt love her, then why did he ruin her life. he throws her on the bed, and that he is sleeping, and asks her to stop crying. She is in bitter tears, at her situation.

The next morning, armaan wakes up and turns around to find her facing him, and is irritated at her presence. she intentionally places her hand around him, and talks about their wonderful relation as a couple. he gets up irritably, while she is amused. as he comes out after a shower, she finds him arranging his clothes, as a dutiful wife should. he is perplexed as she goes on a rant about how she would continue with this charade. as she gets to talking about ties, he is reminded of his toturous childhood,

and asks her to never touch his clothes, and walks off, while she smirks. he then gets dressed, and comes out to find his breakfast table spread out, with latif getting him food, as he remembers his bad childhood. She comes in saying that she shall send him favourite food for lunch. He gets angry, while she teases him, that anger isnt good for health. he storms off. She says that she shall try every tactic necessary to get him on the right track. As he gets out to work, and finds a bouquet of roses with a lovely card, from Mahira, on the bonnet of his car, proclaiming her love for him. He throws it away and crushes the flowers underneath his feet.

Scene 2:

Location: Ehsaan’s residence

Begum is overjoyed to hear on phone, about the wedding of kainat and mahira, and expresses it to begum, saying that her motive, with god willing, is finally being fulfilled, ever since she met them, and indirectly asks granny if this is all true. without saying a word, she leaves inside. all are boggled. Ehsaan wonders what happened.

Begum says that she still doesnt accept her as the bahu, as she can see the age difference but not their love. Farida asks her to wait as time heals everything, and soon everything would be settled. But he denies, saying that she must be tired, from the exhaustion of the rituals, and hence must have retired to rest. Begum thinks that once armaan and mahira consummate their marriage, then all of his powers shall resume back.

Scene 3:

Location: Armaan’s office

As he enters, armaan is congratulates by many people of his marriage, while he finds a huge poster displaying his and mahira’s pic, that he eyes tensedly. He finds a celebratory cake too kept, and throws it away in disgust, while his employees are shocked. While armaan is busy working, in the office, he keeps getting distracted by the huge shower of mesages that mahira splurges on his mobile,

every passing secobnd, while his employees are tensed too. he checks the endearing messages sent by mahira. he thinks that this is enough and what she is doing, she would have to pay for that too. The screen freezes on his tensed face.

Armaan gets tensedly in his car, and asks the driver, to take him to home. But then, he gets ehsaan’s message, inviting them to dinner, both him and mahira. He then gets an idea, and asks him to take to ehsaan’s place

Scene 2:

Location: Ehsaan’s residence

Armaan arrives at ehsaan’s place, where granny and farida come joyfully to greet him, and then ask where is mahira. Begum comes just then too. He eyes her tensedly, and looks away. granny asks him to focus on his marital life, as he shouldnt have left her alone on their first day after marriage. he says that he was going to her, but came here, due to ehsaan’s message. Farida says that ehsaan just went out. he is boggled. farida goes to get snacks. Granny gets tensed begum says that she called him through ehsaan’s phone, as she wanted them to dine together. he gets to leave, but granny doesnt allow him,

saying that he shall have breakfast first. He asks begum to take care of him, while she goes in. Begum stops him, as he gets to go, and then comes to him, saying that she thought all was okay between them, and that now he and mahira are married, and that she knows they dont get along well, but to make this relationship beautiful, they have to give true love to each other, and then all shall be okay. She asks him if he hears what she is saying. As begum slips a red packet in his coat pocket, while he stands tensed, oblivious to what she is stealthily doing, granny notices her and is tensed. The black magic works on him.

Begum thinks that he has to get rid of his anger and when he goes home, he shall see the innocent face of mahira, and seeing which, he shall be tempted to love her, and she has the fullest belief that he shall do exactly that. He walks in a trance, saying that he should get going, as mahira is waiting for him. he walks out, while begum eyes him evilly. Granny is tensed. farida comes with snacks, and asks where he went. begum says that he was missing mahira, and hence left. begum walks off. Granny thinks that the devil can never want good, and that she shall not let her ruin ehsaan;s life, nor mahira and armaan’s, and hence she shall do whatever it takes.

As armaan walks out in a trance, remembering mahira’s face, granny comes and asks why is he leaving so soon, and says that she hopes their marital life is blissful, and then stealthily making it seem accidental spills the pure water that she had brought for him on his coat, and takes out the red packet. The magic works off, and says that its okay. she says that he is a wonderful man, and the lord shall never let wrong things happen to her. he gets going, and then the driver asks him, and he tells him to take him to the club. They drive off.

Inside, granny is praying that the lord never sends anyone back empty, and prays for the strength to be able to take away all pains from her grandson’s life, and show a way, so that she can expose begum in front of everyone. Then she opens her eyes and finds a peer baba blessing her that the lord is with her, and that the lord shall help her in removing the black soul in her house and asks her to focus on her surroundings as she shall find her way there. he leaves, while she eyes around tensedly, thinking about what he meant.

Scene 3:

Location: Mahira’s residence

mahira has their room set to a romantic setting, with candles, champagne and rose petals, while latif and gazalla are all gaga over it. They hear the doorbell ring, and are alarmed at the arrival of armaan, who they are sure shall definitely fall in love with mahira, after seeing her efforts. mahira eyes them amused, and then goes to open the door. When she opens, she is surprised to find armaan with another girl, with his hand around her shoulder, as he suggestively introduces her, while she asks who is mahira. He says that its his wife. they then walk in, while mahira comes to her, and says that she is happy that she is here,

and asks her to be comnfortable, as good friends are so scarce, and she is happy for armaan. Sara congratulates him on finding such an open minded wife. mahira teases him and retorts back. he asks sara to come along, and takes her away. He enters his room, set up romantically, and Sara is amazed to see this, and thanks him for having done this. he eyes it tensedly though and sees the champagne and pours it in the glasses. He hands her one, and she instead takes the entire bottle. He compliments her on her guts, while she leeringly and suggestively speaks, getting tintimate with him. he leans in close to her, but right before kissing,

mahira comes and eyes them together, which makes them uncomfortable. he distances away, while sara asks her to atleast knock first. she says that its her room. he says that its good she came, as he was commenting sara on her beauty and he likes girls better drunk. sara asks her to join too. mahira complies, as she cant refuse the guests. he taunts that he is impressed by her manners. Sara turns around and takes the glass and then drops a pill in it, and pours champagne, for mahira and she thanks her and drinks it, while he and sara watch. mahira then tells sara that indian wives know how to please their husband, going all all turmoils and problems.

Meanwhile, outside the room, latif and gazalla are very confused, that they cant see or understand anything thats happening inside. they wonder why the new girl is here. They insinuate if its an extra marital affair of his and condemn it. latif says that she shall get armaan back on the right track. inside, mahira finishes the glass and armaan takes it, places it, and then walks out. Mahira then asks sara to get out, as her work is done. sara says that her husband only got her here, and if she has a problem, she should deal with it. sara says that she doesnt know who she is, as she can throw her out of his house and his life.

Mahira slaps her, and terms her ill mannered and asks how can she be so desperate, as she wont be knowing earlier but now she knows that they are married. sara is shocked, as mahira says that she is his wife, and asks her to get lost. sara slaps mahira, and asks how dare she call her ill mannered and takes off the pallu of her saree, and says that she shall show her what ill manners are. She takes her by her hair and pushes her away and she falls right beside armaan’s chest, who composes her, and is tensed. sara eyes her angrily, while he eyes her and then mahira, who is almost asleep in his arms, as he holds her. The screen freezes on his face.

Armaan is shocked to find mahira like this, and then reprimands sara and asks how dare she did this to his wife, mahira. sara asks him not to get emotional as he cant be serious as he only got her here. he asks her to get lost. She says that wont be easy, as she may have come here by his will, but shall go by her say. he says that noone gets their say in front of him. sara says that she wont go so easily, and that she loved him, and wouldnt be so easy to get rid of. he says that he knwos what she loves and gives her a bundle of notes, but she finds it less, and then throws another wad, saying that she doesnt deserve more than this, and she gets happy, and leeringly grabs the money. She congratulates him his honeymoon period with his wife and leaves. mahira mocks him.

He says that he got her respected and sara thrown out, and she is taunting him only. She asks who should he taunt, as he is the one who brought her too, and that it might be his trick to get him in, and its his to get her out too. he forcibly holds her hand, finding her nervous. Armaan forcibly grabs mahira by the hand, and draws her out of the house, while she insists whats he doing, and screams at him to stop it, but in vain. He then almost shuts the door on her face, while she is shocked and horrified as to what he is doing, by throwing her out of the house.

In his room, armaan wonders what mahira thinks of herself angrily, and decides to teach her a lesson by not opening the door for sometime. Outside, mahira screams at him to open the door. Her foot slips and she gets a sprain. she asks latif and gazalla to open the door. he smirks and goes in. mahira walks ahead.

Late in the middle of the night, gazalla and latif are asleep, when armaan is awake in his romantically set room, and finds heavy winds blowing, and comes out hastily to the main door, and then opens it, and is surprised to find mahira not there. He hollers for her, and searches around, and then finds her asleep on the stairs, and rushes to her, and nudges her awake. she wakes up to find armaan near her, and jerks him away. he asks if she is okay. She responds that he shouldnt be bothered, and asks him not to touch, asking what does he want to prove, as he threw her out, and now is asking if she is okay, as he couldnt care a damn if she is alive or dead. She says that he doesnt need to show his fake sympathy, and he shouldnt mask himself, when his true self is exposed.

She walks with a limp, her sprained leg paining. He tries to support her by holding her hand, but she jerks him away, asking him not to touch her, as she doesnt need his help to take care of herself. her foot slips yet again, and when he comes to help her, she again retorts back saying that she doesnt need his help. she walks off inside. he thinks that she has a problem when he is wrong, and a bigger one, when he is right, and scorns thinking that their biggest problem is that they are girls.

he nevertheless still walks behind her, as she walks to their room, and then slams the door on his face, as he is outside, Mahira sits inside the room, locked. He asks her to open the door, as he waits outside, saying that he made a mistake. latif and gazalla see this from a distance, and wonder whether they are loving or hating each other. they hide when he sees them. He then resignedly walks off from there. oblivious that he is gone, She says that in front of everyone, he married her, and now he has to accept her as his wife in front of the world, and give the respect that she deserves as his wife. he walks away.

Scene 2:

Location: Ehsaan’s residence

Begum plays hide and seek, with everyone on Imi’s request. As she is blindfolded, and on a pedestal, all hide, while she searches around for imi. Granny is tensed thinking that her plan should work. she hopes that begum wouldnt be able to see and would fall down the pedestal. Granny hopes that she slips, but just then, imi makes a noise, and she takes a u-turn. Imi is almost trapped by begum, and as he retreats back, they are all horrified to see from their hiding places, that he would fall down. granny, ehsaan and farida scream and rush to save him. hearing their screams, begum opens her blindfold and almost saves him,

as he is about to fall. they rush to him, and caress him, while granny stands tensed. they take him inside, leaving behind granny and begum, who understands what granny wanted. Begum comes to granny, and taunts that, she might try all that she wants, but she wont be able to expose her in front of people, and she shall always win. she begins to go, but then warns granny, to remember before doing anything, that she has evil spirits, and she might herself fall in her own trap. begum leaves, while granny is tensed.

Later, begum comes out of her room, to find granny and farida praying, and is tensed and surprised. She wonders whats granny upto now. Once farida leaves, granny prays to the lord, that he always favours his people, and begs him to save her family from the evil spirit. Begum comes and hits a rod on the floor, alarming and startling granny as she opens her eyes and finds begum in front of her, who asks her to keep seated. she then comes in front of her, and says that she doesnt like beating around the bush, and the thing plain and clear, is that she cant defeat her, even if she wants to, and if she doesnt refrain from her behaviour,

then she and her family would lose their life. Granny gets to praying again, but begum asks her to shut up, and then says that if she needs to pray she should pray her. Begum says that she shall give her another proof of her magic, and snaps her fingers, and farida starts screaming in pain, holding her legs tightly. granny is distraught and rushes to her, while begum smiles evilly.

Scene 3:

Location: Mahira’s residence

Latif and gazalla find armaan sleeping on the sofa, and lament at his condition of being here, on the sofa, after his spiteful fight with mahira. Mahira comes to him, and they escape. She puts the tea tray down and prepares him a cup of tea, and then nudges him awake abruptly, and he looks at her scornfully, while she wishes him good morning, and asks him to have tea. he takes the cup almost but then stops, and gets up. she says that she hasnt laced it with poison, and that she has good news for him.

he is irritated, but she insists on giving the good news, and shows him the honeymoon tickets to kashmir, where they can spend their honeymoon alone, and he says that he is excited too, and then tears the tickets and sprays them around. But she is unfazed, and says that she is as arrogant as him, and he shall have to go to the honeymoon with her. The screen freezes on her face
