I DO - S01 E123

Read Story: I DO On Zeeworld, Thursday 19th May 2022 Update

We start the episode with As they walking from different ends in the corridor, Rahat and haya are oblivious of the other’s presence until their eyes finally meet, and they both remember their past encounters. she shyly turns her eyes away and leaves, and rahat too. But both of them unable to turn their eyes away again turn around and stop momentarily as their paths cross. She looks at him and he asks if she’s fine and she complies. She thanks him and he turns to his room without saying anything, with the classic turning around moment when the other’s not looking.

Later, while working in the kitchen, she is unable to reach to the top shelf. rahat finds this and helps her with it. Before she can thank him, he turns around and leaves. While she is knitting, rahat again hands her a woollen ball, that had rolled over to him, by mistake and as usual, leaves without saying anything. haya eyes him overwhelmingly.

Later, while haya is gardening, rahat comes from beind and tells her that she shouldnt have thanked him yesterday and thsat he is embarassed that she had to face such a thing yesterday. haya tries to convey something. rahat says that he looked up on the internet to understand sign language as he couldn’t understand what she was trying to say. Munisa eyes them from a distance and thinks that haya got her husband now and is now trapping rahat, and that she wont let this happen, and that she would break this cord before they can get closer.

The environment is the same in Ahil’s residence too. Ahil comes in sanam’s room with her meds, but doesnt find latif. sanam is asleep. He tells her to take the meds, that the doctor has prescribed. But then he finds that she is asleep, and he isnt able to keep his eyes away from her. He tries to wake her up, and doesnt understand how to give her the meds. He fidgets around, concerned for her health. He places his hand under her head, and lifts her up, but she reclines on his shoulders, finding support. He places the med in her mouth, and she in a dazed state, drinks water until she spills it. He takes a tissue and wipes it off, and then places her back on the bed.

Its nighttime, when ahil is still asleep in the same room, and is startled when he finds her stirring in sleep, due to cold. he drapes a blanket around her, and she sleeps cozily. Ahil continues to tend to her needs day in and day out, and isnt able to distance himself, even when latif is taking care of him. Even when latif seems to give up, ahil comes into handle her, and sanam eyes him once in a dazed state, and he refrains not to show his soft side, to her. But tends back once she doses off. While ahil is about to leave, sanam in her sleep clutches at him, horrified at the recount of that incident in which she barely is able to escape from the murder attempt.

Sanam wakes up and clutches tightly at his arm, asking ahil not to leave her at all, referring to him by his name for the first time. Ahil is shocked. Sanam asks ahil not to leave her in this room, and breaks into frantic screams, hugging him tightly and catching ahil completely unawares, and he too finally puts his arms around her for comfort. he says that he wont leave her, and asks her to relax as nothing would happen to her, promising that he wont let anything happen to her. He places her back again on the bed, while she continues to drape her hands around him, in her dosed state. He takes off her hand and places it lightly on the bed, overwhelmed with the new mixed emotions that he is feeling.

Tanveer asks azhar’s parents if sanam is conscious. they tell that she isnt completely. tanveer asks if they found the will. they say that tried their best to search sanam’s room, but didnt find anything. Tanveer gets frustrated and asks them to keerp an eye on sanam always, as the will is with her only, and she needs it at any cost. they comply. she tells them that if this time, she loses due to them, then she wont spare them too. they scurry off.

Ahil is trying to sleep, with a bandaged hand, remembering his latest intimacy with sanam, since after the incident. The phone rings and he picks up one of his girlfriend’s call, and cancels his plan to meet her today. after that, he is again drawn to thoughts of sanam, that continue to disturb him. He eyes the bandage as he does so. He faces himself in the mirror, and eyes the hand that went to clasp around her in a hug, when she wanted it. He takes off the bandage and eyes the hand, wondering whats happening to him.

The next day, when ahil caresses her face in concern, he is startled to find that she is awake. she gets up with his help. he asks who did this. she says that she doesnt know them and their reasons. Ahil tells sanam that he didnt understand what was she doing that late outside, in the graveyard, and who was she meeting. sanam eyes him tensedly, remembering badi begum requesting her not to tell this to anyone. Hew asks her again. she lies that she went to meet dilshad, and met these goons in the way. He says that the next time, she has to go somewhere this late, she shouldnt go alone and that he would take her. he says that he shouldnt have let her go that night too, and its all his fault. sanam is surprised to see this soft side to him. the screen freezes on both their faces.

Sanam is surprised to see ahil’s concern. Just so that he could hide his real feelings, he again takes the garb of being the bitter self. latif comes in and is happy to see her conscious. Ahil eyes her concernedly and leaves. latif asks how is she feeling. sanam says that she’s fine. latif offers to go get something for her to eat.

In the kitchen, azhar’s parents are scurrying for food, being hungry. latif comes and finds them like that and gets to her own work. As Latif pours out food, azhar’s parents reprimand her for hiding food. latif replies back saying that there are lots of rats these days. She doesnt allow them to take the food saying that its for sanam. Latif tells them that sanam is conscious again. They are surprised, and that now they have to be alert to take the papers out of the bag.

In the room, Sanam takes the actual papers of the will out from her bag that she had hidden safely and thinks that badi begum was right in thinking that there’s danger attached to these papers and that she should give them to someone trustworthy in the house, saying that she knows who to give them to. Azhar’s parents follow her, but finally lose trail.

Sanam goes to someone’s room and says that she found these papers and decided to give them to the most mature person in the family, and since she doesnt trsut anyone more than this person, she is handing over the papers to him/ her. She gives them away. It turns out to be tanveer, who’s extremely pleased with it.

Sanam says gthat she wanted to tell this earlier, but didnt due to badi begum’s instructions, and she knows why she said so, as she witnessed the danger involved, in getting these important papers. Sanam asks tanveer if she did right. tanveer tells her smilingly that she did absolutely right, and that she is brave and correct too. she says that she braved her life, to give these to the right person. sanam says that it was her duty, and she is already indebted to this family fir saving dilshad’s life. tanveer asks if she told anyone else about these papers. Sanam says that she came to her only. tanveer says that if they fell in wrong hands, it could have been misused, and that they are safe now. sanam is relieved.

Sanam finds dilshad terribly upset, when she finally is able to get through her on the phone. sanam says that she seems tensed, and asks about haya. dilshad says that she wants to tell her something. She tells about haya’s incident with shoaib. Sanam gets furious, and says that they shall leave and come to her rightaway, and that noone can do this with haya. Dilshad says that she too thought like this, but then tells about rahat’s response, and that the Lord has always made someone stand by them, and that rahat would feel really bad if they leave like this. sanam remembers ahil’s contribution, and says that she is right and asks her to take care of haya. sanam says that she would have to go now. They cancel the phone. sanam is tensed.

Rehaan asks tanveer is she thinks that this is the true will. Tanveer complies, expressing excitement at how things turned around, after the lord saw her sacrifices and hopes for this will, and gave it to her. she asks rehaan to read it out, as she has waited a long time, to read out what she wrote. rehaan refuses, and asks her to let be as he isnt interested, as he doesnt feel its right. tanveer is again tensed when he refers to her as Begum sahiba. She again makes him understand that she is just taking whats hers. rehaan is confused, but tanveer asks him to stop thinking, and do what is said. She asks him to go to the lawyer, and let him do the talking, while she gets the family gathered together, to finally get what she has yearned for a long time.

sanam comes in ahil’s room and asks for permission to come inside. Ahil is surprised, and allows her. sanam says that she doesnt understand how to thank him, as its due to him that she is even alive today, as he not only saved her and got her here, but also took care of her, especially when he doesnt like her at all and it wasnt required for him to do at all. Ahil eyes her tensedly. she thanks him profusely for what he did. She adds that whatever happened that night,

she also wants to thank him for the same. but her talk is interrupted when latif comes in saying that tanveer has asked everyone to gather outside, and has also asked the lawyer, hence it seems important. ahil seems tensed. latif tries to coax sanam into getting back to work now that she is okay. they both leave. rehaan comes and ahil asks why has tanveer called the lawyer. rehaan gets tensed. ahil says that she is very unpredictable, and that without caring for herself, she always cares for others, and god knows how she handles all alone everything and compliments her. rehaan remembers tanveer’s feelings for ahil and is tensed. Ahil leaves, while rehaan thinks that ahil has such belief on her, and she is about to break it.

Sanam asks badi begum not to worry as she found the will, but she gave it to tanveer. Badi bi is distraught. sanam assures her that tanveer shall keep it safe and she wont let anything happen to it, and has also asked the lawyer, as she doesnt want it to go to waste. Badi begum is apalled.

As ahil comes out, latif asks if asma has come back, and goes on a rant of how she needs asma for the diet chart, while ahil eyes her and shuts her up. While ahil tends to neda’s call, the lawyer comes and eyes him smirking. After attending the call, ahil finds that the lawyer has come and asma too. Asma comes and ahil sends her to meet latif who has been searching for her. Ahil asks him to sit while he gets tanveer. As he turns around, he finds sanam wheeling badi begum, and is mesmerised looking at her. He picks up the earring that she accidentally dropped. He is about to give it to her, when tanveer comes happily with the will in her hands. badi begum is tensed. tanveer hands the will to the lawyer to read it out.

The lawyer tells in front of the whole family, along with badu begum, that this is the last will that nawab made before his death, and shall be deemed legal. Ahil asks tanveer why this all of a sudden./ sanam finds one earring missing. tanveer says that this was Nawab’s last wish and that it should be fulfilled. She asks the lawyer to resad out the name. The lawyer complies and reads out from the Nawab’s will, that he has left all his belongings, property, worthy possessions and even his jewellery to one person. tanveer and rehaan are tensed. badi begum along with the rest of the family listens intently. They all wait with bated breaths in anticipation, as the lawyer is about to reveal the name. he finaly says its Ahil raza Abrahim, shocking tanveer and relieving badi begum. the screen freezes on Ahil’s shocked face.

All are shocked top find that ahil is the heir to everything of nawab’s property, while tanveer is distraught and badi begum is relieved. Azhar’s parents are shocked too. Tanveer asks whats he saying and if he read correctly. She asks to be heard again, and when she hears the same thing, tanveer is in a state of shock, and collapses while ahil composes her. badi begum is satisfied. tanveer says that she is alright as all of her dreams have been realised, trying to fake happiness for him.

She says that she is very happy, and should organise a party for the same. she asks latif and sanam to get sweets. Ahil shocks tanveer by saying that he doesnt want this property as he never wanted it. Badi begum is tensed, while tanveer starts thinking she still has a chance. tanveer asks who would handle this if not him. ahil replies that she is rightful person, to have a right on the property, and not because she is his wife, but due to the sacrifice that she gave for this family. Rehaan is tensed. ahil says that only she deserves this. Badi begum is tensed. tanveer smiles evilly, and says that she has given her life in the name of the lord, and what would she do this all this. He says that he doesnt care. the lawyer says that this cant happen as he cant transfer this property to anyone else.

tanveer gets tensed. ahil asks why cant he give this to his own mother. The lawyer says that if he tries something like that, all of it would go to the trust. tanveer thinks that she wont let this property go at any cost. Ahil says that he doesnt care, and he wont take the nawab’s property at any cost. The lawyer asks if this is his final answer. tanveer says no. tanveer says that the business that ahil and naawab set with much effort and that she wont let it go to the trust.

Ahil insists that he doesnt want it. She asks him to think about his sisters, and also about badi begum, and emotionally blackmails him into agreeing to sign the property. ahil says that he doesnt weant anything other than their happiness. she asks him to agree to sign then, as they all have a right on this property. rehaan is tensed. she asks him not to let it go into wrong hands, and that this isnt just a right, but a duty too, to keep the nawab’s ancestral property. ahil says that he would do it for her happiness. tanveer smiles evilly. She asks the lawyer to get the papers ready today only, as her son would sign it. He complies. Ahil comes to badi begum and asks if she wants the same thing. she smiles at him and then eyes tanveer, who is tensed.

In her room. later, tanveer is frustrated and disgusted, thinking how can this happen, as Nawab made it all on her name, and she killed him before he could change it. She says that all of the play was by badi begum, who kept her in hiding. Tanveer still doesnt accept defeat thinking about going to any cost to get it back.

Ahil tells tanveer that he is doing this just for her and her happiness, as the actual owner of this property is and shall always be hers. tanveer says that the mother who has a sone like him, doesnt want anything else, and she is lucky, to have a loving son like him. rehjaan is tensed to see such pretense on her part. she wishes him to be happy. she asks him to sign the papers now. The lawyer gets the papers ready and comers back in ahil’s haveli. Ahil resignedly asks the lawyer where he has to sign. the lawyer shows him two spots, one where he has to sign and one where his wife would. ahil and others are shocked.

The lawyer says that he assumed he was married, as he had overhjeard him talking on the phone, and mistook asma to be his wife. Tanveer asks what nonsense is this, as when he is the heir, what difference doies it make. The lawyer clarifies that according to the will, he shall be an heir to the will only when he is married, and then it shall be distributed equally between him and his wife. Tanveer is tensed. she asks what would happen now. Ahil asks if there’s any other way out. The lawyer says that he can still get married and that too before his 30th birthday. all are surprised to hear this. tanveer shockingly tells them that its just two weeks later. badi begum is happy while tanveer is frustrated.

Scene 2:

Location: Munisa’s residence

Munisa remembers haya’s intimacy with rahat and when she is working in the kitchen, she starts talking to haya about how rehaan used to live a very exciting life and now nothing seems to excite or bother him. She says that she wished someone was there for him, who would help him, like he alwasy helped others. Haya starts thinking while munisa eyes him evilly.

Haya, with much fervour, changes the decor of rahat’s room, putting in fresh sheets, towels, drapes and cushions to get him back to his old lifestyle. She opens his wardrobe and finds a Military Uniform and is filled with pride and is unable to stop herself from saluting. As rahat enters, he eyes the changed decor of the room, and is taken back to the old days, when his wife, Zaiba did it all for him. he is haunted by the memories, and goes to haya, and reprimands her for trying to change the decor of the room, and throws her out of the room. while she is apalled, munisa smiles as she eyes her from a distnace.

Scene 3:

Location: Ahil’s residence

Tanveer gets inside badi begum’s room, and as she approaches her, badi begum is scared. tanveer grabs her, saying that she kneew everything, and just played along being dumb, and told sanam at the right time so that the will can go to ahil completely. Tanveer tells her that she is mistaken that she would give up so easily. badi begum tells tanveer that the lord never sides with the devil. She asks tanveer to remember it. tanveer is shocked at her speech and gets frustrated.

In her room, ahil is adamant that he wont get married. tanveer says that he would have to. ahil is completely boggled at the idea of getrting married in 2 weeks, and that he can never be a good husband. tanveer says that he may think like that, but it isnt teue, as life changes with time, and once he gets married, his thinking shall change, and asks him to think of the consequences if he doesnt take this tep. ahil makes her sit down and asks her to hink about his dilemma too, as she knows how he is, as he wont be able to change.

tanveer says that she isnt asking him to change, as he may do the same things that he has been doing, and he would get all the freedom and he isnt expected to handle household matters and his wife. she says that she just wants him to get married, to fulfill the conditions of the will, and that she promises that nothing would change in his life. ahil is shocked and tensed what to do. the screen freezes on his face.
