I DO - S01 E119

Read Story: I DO On Zeeworld, Monday 9th May 2022 Update

We start the episode with Azhar comes out to meet a goon like fellow, demanding for his money. Azhar is undaunted, and says that if he doesnt leave in two seconds, he would ruin him so bad. But when he turns around after his heroic speech, he finds that the goon is with a much bigger fellow, way beyond his stature. He instantly changes his tone, as the man threatens him to insult him in front of his would be wife. His mother who follows him, is shocked to see his son with goons.

Meanwhile, asma gets tensed and leaves to check on azhar. Azhar’s mom finds her approaching and is shocked, as to how to prevent asma from seeing this. azhar pleads with them to keephis identity a secret and stop asma from knowing that he isnt a doctor, and save his true identity and asks for one last chance. the man lets him go one last chance, and leaves. meanwhile,

asma is stopped by his mother by intentionally colliding with her, and distracting her. Asma leaves to call the physiotherapist friend, and says that her pressing the leg would be painful to her. Azhar’s mother thinks that she has too much of an ego to press her legs and decides to have her way after she comes in this house.

Sanam reaches outside, and wonders what to do and whether rehaan is outside. she finds someone coming outside, and asks her if rehaan is there, and is told that he isnt. Sanam decides to wait for him for sometime. She thinks that rehaan has helped her a lot, and should thank him, but she cant wait for long, as she has to go back to the hospital, and wonders what to do.

Inside, asma’s parents begin to leave after waiting for long for ahil. Azhar expresses his desire to keep asma back for a little longer, so that ahil can see her, and then after the selection of the ring, he would himself drop her back. Her parents agree and ask him to leave asma home on time.

Hearing a car approach, and seeing rehaan getting out, sanam is happy from her hiding, but gets angry seeing that ahil also got out along with him. she watches them both go inside. she wonders how to thank rehaan now and what to do. she then decides that when rehaan comes outside, after having left ahil, she would thank him.

Inside, asma is told by her would be mother in law, who talks about her family history. Asma asks about begum sahiba. Nazia tells her that begum is lonely after her husband’s death, and stays in solitude. Asma asks for a pic of her, and is told that she doesnt like to get clicked and stays away from the world. But shazia is unable to control herself any longer and showing a pic, she vents out her frustration at her mother, Begum who left her for being brought up by others. Ahil comes and screams at her to be quiet. Shazia asks why is he favouring her, as she is his stepmother, and is slammed shut by ahil, saying that he may not be her real son, but he respects her more than anything else in this world. He talks about how much he is connecetd to her, since she stepped in. shazia leaves in disgust. All are tensed. asma comes and asks ahil to forgive shazia for her mistake. Ahil smiles and lets go.

asma says that she is very proud of him and it would be her honour, to have her engagement ring selected by him. Azhar’s parents think that she is too smart. They start showing ahil various rings. but his eyes fall on a particular piece that noone picked up. Ahil tells them that there would never be a time when he would have a to select a ring for a special girl, but then starts looking at the ring. Ahil says that even if he had to select one ring, he would have selected this one, and picks up a certain one. Asma says that its was her choice too, and asks why doesnt he feel this need. ahil says that he doesnt believe in love.

Asma gives him the same advise that rehaan had given him in the car. but ahil says that its only in stories but not in real life. Ahil excuses himself. But in latif’s ovcerexcitement, she almost collides into ahil and the ring is thrown in the air, by mistake. While the ring falls on the floor, and starts rolling towards the main gate, ahil is surprised and others are tensed too. As fate would have it, the ring finally lands on Sanam’s feet, who has just entered the compound, so that she could have thanked rehaan for his help. she picks up the ring, and looks at it surprisingly.

Ahil gets busy on phone, while sanam eyes the ring, both oblivious of the other’s presence and how fate is intertwining their lives in its own unique way. Her smile at eyeing the ring vanishes, when she finds ahil on the phone and leaves in anger, hiding behind apillar, so as not to be seen by ahil, who too is suspicious of someone’s prresence. rehaan comes and takes him inside, while sanam breathes a sigh of relief.

Inside, all are searching around for it, while asma asks them to calm down and search in the daytime. Asma excuses herself for the night, while azhar says that he would just come with the car keyss. Outside, sanam wonders who se ring it is. as asma comes out, sanam exchanges greetings, and then shows her the ring, much to asma’s pleasaure and tells about her engagement with azhar. She also asks sanam about her relative’s health now. Before azhar’s lie can be exposed to asma, he comes in and distracts them from talking and asks sanam about dilshad’s health. Asma asks whats she doing here. Sanam says that she was going to rehaan. But azhar throws around his weight as a doctor and gets her to go, so that she isnt able to to talk to asma and his truth be exposed. He is relieved when she leaves.

Scene 2:

Location: In the hospital

The doctor tells sanam that she is okay and can be taken home, but needs rest and concern, and that there should strictly be no travlleing or exertion, or else her next attck would be fatal. sanam thinks that this means they would have to stay in bhopal only and wonders where would they stay. Sanam comes in dilshad’s ward, and dilshad immediately finds her tensed, as sanam seems distracted. Dilshad asks her whats the matter. sanam tells dilshad that the doctor was saying that she is right and okay but not suited to travel yet and wonders where would she stay now. Dilshad tells her that she would obviously stay wherever she stays.

Sanam is distraught as to what to answer. Sanam says that she does stay there. dilshad assumes that she wont be permitted to stay there. sanam is fumbling around for words. dilshad asks her not to worry as this is her city where she spent half of her life. sanam asks what she means. Dilshad says that she had told haya that she would get her here soon, and manage things easily, now that sanam has a job. sanam remembers her conflict with ahil, and wonders how to tell dilshad that she doesnt have a job anymore. Sanam thinks that had dilshad been okay, she would have taken her back now but wonders what to do now. the screen freezes on Sanam’s tensed face.

Dilshad and sanam step out of the auto, and dilshad is taken back to her nostalgic lane, while she reminisces with sanam, her prior family, and how this was where her parents lived. Sanam is surprised. Dilshad says that when old memories clutch at you, its better to refrain them off, and be a stranger, and she too has been such from her own city bhopal, but destiny brought her here yet again, and maybe its time to move on, forgetting the past. Dilshad says that maybe thats the reason she has got a job in bhopal. sanam is tensed.

As dilshad rings the doorbell, sanam asks who lives here. Dilshad says that she sold this house to her sister’s daughter. when a lady opens the door, and dilshad refers to her by name, she is surprised. dilshad asks for permission to step in, and when she does, she is taken back to her memory lane, with asad, zoya and nazma there. While dilshad is overwhelmed, sanam is surprised to see her get so emotional. Dilshad places a reassuring hand on her shoulder, as the past almost relays before her. the lady tells dilshad that she didnt recognise her, and when dilshad gives her identity, she is super happy, and then introduces her to sanam too.

She hugs her too. dilshad says that she is here for some work, and apologises for coming in so sudden and unannounced. she dsays that sanam has a job and hence she would stay there, but she needs a place to crash. Munisa is tensed. Sanam is tensed to see her hesitating. Dilshad asks her not to be tensed, and knows that she doesnt have any right on this house. but she is relieved when she welcomes her with open arms. Dilshad tells sanam that nice people still prevail. Munisa, the lady asks if she would be here alone. dilshad tells about haya and says that she too would be staying here. Munisa tells her that there’s only one room free, and dilshad says that she would manage in that one room only. sanam is tensed.

As they move to her room, sanam finds someone’s shadow in one of the rooms and is suspicious. she asks munisa, who else stays here along with her. She says that since her husband is in dubai and only visits her occassionally, she stays alone. Sanam asks who’s in that room. Munisa asks her to think that there’s noone, and she shouldnt even think of going there. she distracts them to her room. Munisa finds that the room isnt tidy, and tries to apologise and also hints that there are no servanmts. dilshad readily offers that she would clear the room herself with sanam’s help. The ladyt leaves for tea, while they both eye the room together.

As dilshad eyes the room with nostalgia, sanam is tensed to see that she would be staying here. She is angry at munisa who she caught lying, and also behaving very weird. She is however consoled by dilshad saying that she would manage. when sanam is insistent that she would do the cleaning, dilshad reminds her about her job and asks her to take it seriously now that she has landed such a nice job. sanam is tensed as she is left with no option but to leave. dilshad offers that she would do everything herself. Sanam is still insistent that munisa is lying. Dilshad agrees and asks her to go. as she turns around, overwhelmed with emotions. sanam is apallled to leave her in such a condition, but leaves nevertheless.

Scene 2:

Location: Ahil’s haveli

sanam enters ahil’s haveli stealthily, thinking that if she finds rehaan once, she would thank him, and also move on with finding a new job. as she finds ahil’s uncle and aunt approaching, she hides. meanwhile, ahil too passes by the pool. Sanam doesnt see him, and starts walking ahead, but when she does, she ducks so as not to be seen. ahil passes by without noticing her. Sanam finds rehaan working near the pool. she crosses over and addresses him, and he is shocked to see her. she says that she wants to thank him, for the huge favour that he did. He is confused and asks why. she talks about the medical bills reimbursement. rehaan tries to clarify that it was ahil, but she doesnt listen completely, and goes on a rant as to how he is so good natured, and is so modest about it.

she says that she wanted to talk about something, and that she may have been helped by him hugely, and that she doesnt like to take money, and always is insistent that she earns it, and requests him to get her a job. rehaan tries to talk about ahil. she gets frustrated at its mention. He tries to tell about ahil’s good deeds, but she continues to vent out her frustration, talking about how does he bear to be with him. she vehemently says that she isnt the person who bows before anyone’s money. Sanam tells rehaan that she has already broken Ahil’s ego once, and if given another chance, she would ruin him so bad, and suddenly notices ahil’s reflection in the pool waters.

She is stunned into silence. she looks up to find herself confronted with ahil. rehaan says that she tried to warn her, and her medical bills were paid by ahil. Sanam is taunted by ahil, while she understands that she misunderstood all along, when the nurse was trying to tell about ahil, and is shocked that he did his for her. rehaan says that she should thank him, and leaves.

But she is defiant, and begins to leave, when he asks her not to even dare to move. she thanks him profusely, and apologises too as she cant believe that she did this, as she always thought he was wrong, and then begins to clarify too, saying that always he comes along as a wrong person, reminding her of the past incidents. Sanam tells him that dilshad tells her that people are tested over time, and that she admits her mistake in prejudging him, and she is happy to be proven wrong, and again thanks and apologises for the favour that he has done on her. she continues to rant, but is put to stop, when he asks her to shut up, saying that what she thinks of him is completely right, and that he doesnt really care about her family, and even if he did pay the bills, there’s always a reason behind it, and it was true in this case too.

Sanam is surprised to see his stance. Ahil tells sanam that when people meet him, they always do so with bowed heads, but she had the guts and daring to go against the wind and face him boldly. He says that he decided her fate right there and then, that he would break her ego bit by bit. he talks of his plan how to torture her. He reminds her that she had said that she cant be bought, but now by his one gesture, he only has already bought her and her self respect, but the fact of the matter is that now he owns her. Sanam is apalled to hear him talk like that and helpless thinking that she doesnt have any other option, but to hear him. the screen freezes on Sanam’s shocked face.

Sanam is angered at knwoing the real mntive behind ahil saving dilshad, and that his effort to save dilshad was just to get him to be a slave. He starts taunting her. Ahil tauntingly asks her if she wants to be free from his slavery forever. When she eyes him questioningly, he says that she just has to bend on her knees, and with her head bowed, and her nose with her self respect touching the ground, she would have to ask for an apology and beg for forgiveness, and not bother then about repaying the money.

sanam says that the head should always bows in front of the lord, and not the devil. She defiantly says that her shoulders dont support a head that bows down for sympathy. she faces ahil with consternation, while ahil is tensed. ahil reminds her that with an apology the story would end, but if she doesnt accept then she would have to be a slave for the coming six months, and he says that he shall ensure that every minute of those 6 months are torturous for her. He moves past but turns back to remind her, that she has to be ready with her answer before he returns. he leaves, while sanam is frustrated.

From her room, nazia calls for latif, to give her meds, when shazia comes in discussing on the phone, about a pyjama party which gets nazia tensed. When she tries to advise her, shazia jerks off her advise. Nazia asks her to be scared of ahil atleast, who would be furious if he gets to know this. shazia reminds her that she doesnt care about ahil or their mother, who has never botherted to be with them. Nazoa says thgat she didnt do it out of her will. Shazia says that she didnt, but she herself would do what she wants. nazia asks her to stop or else she would tell ahil. shazia agrees finally not to go and walks out in a puff.

Later, when nazia has a terrible headache, latif mixes one tablet in the water, and tells her that she cant take more than one as it would act like a sedative. Shazia hears this. when latif leaves, and nazia goes to the washroom, shazia mixes many tablets. She hides when she hears nazia coming out. Nazia drinks it and doses off much to shazia’s pleasure, as she thinks that now she can go to the party.

In the foyer, sanam wonders what to do. rehaan calls out to her. Sanam again asks him how can he tolerate ahil, and why, with ahil being such a lowlife. He says that he is a servant here, and knows that he hasd to stay in his limits. Sanam says that he has the right to tell ahil whats right or wrong. He tells her that ahil isnt really wrong. sanam says that she isnt surprised to hear him talk like that. Rehaan says that he is a good man in the garb of evil, and that he cant tell her what to do, but ensure that ahil wont do anything wrong. sanam says that he doesnt have any idea of what all she has borne due to him, and reminds him of the current bet.

Sanam says that she hasnt done anything wrong. rehaan says that she has done something wrong, and that is to insult ahil’s mother talking about all the things that she has done for her son and him too. He says that even he wont hear anything against the lady. he tells her that she wont become small in stature if she apologises. as he leaves, she is tensed.

Latif is ogling over ahil, while he is beside the swimming pool, ahil casts a glance at her, and she hasdtens off. sanam comes in and finds him beside the pool. sanam apologises for having insulted his mother, and his upbringing. Ahil is surprised. She apologised for having had preconceived notions about his mother, as her own mother never taught this. ahil asks that she thought she qas apologising. sanam says that she was doing that only. Ahil again reminds her how he ewants her apology, and asks her to never look up ever again to him, or his mother too. sanam says that she apologised for having insulted his mother and not him, and that she was right in understanding him. She says that she would never apologise for this, as his motive was wrong. Ahil is tensed. He tells her that her debt is due, and that if she apologises for his mother’s insult, she would be free off.

Scene 2:

Location: Munisa’s haveli

While dilshad is attending to calls, when munisa is bathing, she hear a certain sound and thinks that its coming from the house only. She finds the same silhouette that sanam saw in one of the rooms. she wonmders who could it be. she stealthily approcahes the door, and is about to unclasp it, when she is alarmed by munisa standing behind her, asking her to let it be closed. dilshad asks who stays here. Munisa says that its her brother, rahat. dilshad is surprised and asks why does he stay likwe this, as he was a very amiable person.

Munisa says that she isnt now, and has distanced himself from the family and everyone, and doesnt even talk to her. Dilshad asks what happened. munisa says that she doesnt know and he doesnt like it too, and asks dilshad not to go near there as he already is dirtubed and she doesnt want to disturb him any longer. dilshad complies, but is still tensed, wondering what happened to rahat. munisa leaves.

sanam tells him that she doesnt want him to give concession for her debt, but wants to repay it back. she says that she would work here till she pays it off. he says that she wont manage four days even. She asks him to try as her self respect would outrule his ego. Ahil says that they shall see if she manages to be here.

He starts telling her the rules, that she would have to report him and only him, and do what he says. He tells her that if he fails in one task, he would break one bopttle, and if these 4 bottles break, then she would have to fulfill her part of the bet, and apologise. sanam says that day wont ever come. She says that she has full faith on herself and her Lord, andf he may make her do anything, and she wont complain, or ever accept defeat, as she isnt scared of anything. Both enter into a steely eyegaze. the screen freezes on Sanam’s face, as they both look awy with awkwardness.
