They both entered the bedroom, the wife helped her husband to loose his white shirt’s button and said, begging.

“Please darling, don’t take him away”

“I’ll and that’s it. Small boy having high BP! Let him rest hmm he’s the only boy here” the pastor said as he placed his fingers on her left shoulder.

Afterwards, the husband went into the bathroom to take his bathe and the wife went out of the room.

Two days later, the husband took John to the boarding house.

Years later, John crossed into Secondary School with flying colours.

They had holidays, so he had to go home.

The pastor went to took him home.

Getting home, the pastor’s daughters embraced him happily including the gateman but the pastor’s wife still doesn’t.

The pastor left after taken him home because of his missionary work.

Mrs. Akinyemi was happy when she saw her husband left.

“John!”

“Oya go and clean the room”

“I’m not cleaning any fucking room”John said.

“How dare you!? How dare you talk to me like that!?” She thundered.

John had been taught by his peers to do that.

John doesn’t shakes like before, he stands still and said with courage

“You better don’t kill yourself ma”

“pa!!!” She gave him a hot sounding slap.

John’s eyes were red, he looks the pastor’s wife face, went into his room, took his bags and went away from the house.

“John! John!! John!!!” Everyone in the house tried to call him back but he refused, opens the gate and went out.

“Yeh! Madam don cause havoc o. John don leave house o. The boy that just come yeh! Hmm” the gateman said as he placed his hands on his head.

Cynthia began to weep.
