Luckily, the pastor met John cleaning their bedroom.

“oh John you are still cleaning the room. Tell me what happened to your face” the pastor asked feeling uncomfortable.

“Mum told me to clean up the other room so l decide to clean up every other room together. I was slapped by mum for coming late”

“oh sorry and she lied to me”

The pastor hugged him then John went out to tidy up the rooms left.

In the evening, the family ate, prayed and went to their various bed to sleep.

The next morning, they did the morning devotion quickly and the children went to the school including John.

The pastor was about leaving for another long trip when he call on his wife.

“my dear”

“Sir!”

She comes to him.

“John said you slapped him and you lied to me. I don’t want such to happen again okay?. You know we only have daughters, John is the only boy but he is still our son. Please treat him well. People are watching us a believer”

“it’s a lie i didn’t slapped him o, okay i’ve heard you darling”

“Godbye”

“Bye honey”

The gateman opens the gate and the pastor zoomed-off.

“John, you’re doomed today! So you have the gut to tell my husband what happened. You will meet me here” she clapped her two hands together and went into the house.
