Deal With The Devil - S01 E118

❝The surprise is not what is expected❞

In front of me is a bowl of ice cream but not just any ice cream. Deep-fried ice cream. It's covered in special K and there is chocolate dripped over it and it looks amazing. "Are you going to stare at it or eat it?" Sebastian asks me and I roll my eyes and playfully glare at him as I look up at him. "I'm going to eat it... in a bit" I tell him. I notice that he has already started on his ice cream and while it may not be a large one he has finished about one third of it.

"You better start before it melts" He tells me and smirks at me. I think he just wants me to start eating it as soon as possible. Why? I don't know the answer to that but I would like to know. Rolling my eyes I pick up a spoon and start eating the ice cream. I nearly moan because it tastes so good and Sebastian only grins at me when he sees the look on my face when I'm eating. "Good recommendation" I mutter to him and he nods but I can see the playfulness in his eyes.

"So, now that we're eating dessert and midnight is upon us, I have to ask. My love, what did you enjoy most about the night?" He asks me. I start thinking about his questions for a moment. Reliving every part of the night, every Econ day that passed by I start to see in my mind's eye until I know the answer. Well, I've known it the whole time but I suppose I never said it out loud before. I take a bite out of the ice cream and chew the special K and allow the ice cream itself to melt in my mouth.

"Being with you is the best thing that has ever happened to me, either tonight or all the nights to come. You are what made this better than ever and I don't think any of this happiness would be inside me if you were not with me" I tell him. Speaking only the truth and he soaks up the things that I told him and nods at me when I have finished. "What was your favorite moment of the night?" I ask him and he playfully starts to act as if he was thinking about it.

Sebastian's emerald green eyes show a lot what he's feeling but it also shows somewhat he's thinking and it is true. The eyes are the windows of the souls and in this case I see that he knows what he enjoyed most and what his favorite moment was. "My favorite moment would have to be seeing your smile which has been on all night and that can only mean the whole night was my favorite moment. However, it's not over... yet" He says in a mysterious voice which only makes the suspense deepen inside me.

"What do you mean?" I ask him. Raising an eyebrow at him, in hope that he would tell me something, anything about what he has planned. I'm not one for surprises and he knows it and he is using that against me. He likes this, that I can tell. His eyes show so much yet hide so much at the same time. Any ordinary person would have a hard time understanding him and seeing in his eyes but I don't. I see it clearly, I understand him. More than anyone else can ever get close to understanding. 3

His eyes are wild yet calm and his smirk tells me that something is going to happen but something that I feel like I won't like but that doesn't make any sense. "Curiosity killed the cat" He tells me and I roll my eyes at him as I continue to eat the ice cream and allow the flavors to just melt in my mouth and the taste is amazing and it's so good that I don't want to finish it but it will soon be finished. "But satisfaction brought it back" I tell him with a smirk that mirrors his own. 4

His face does fall for a moment. "Just when I think I can trick you, I can't. You truly are clever and good at chess it would seem" He says, trying to change the subject but he isn't getting off the hook that easily and I'm not going to allow that to happen. "I've won almost all of the games that we play so I'd say I'm better than you at chess. Now, are you going to tell me what you have planned?" I ask him raising an eyebrow at him and staring at him into the eyes.

I don't even know why I want to know this badly. Perhaps it is because I just want to spent time with him and think only of him and not just some surprise that he might or might not be giving me and I want to know. I'm a curious person by nature and when there is something that I want to know I would do whatever it takes to figure that out and I want to know what he has planned. The look on his face isn't helping either. "If you want to know this much" He tells me.

Both his hands reach under the table and I give him a confused look and for a small moment his hands stay there but I can tell he's trying to get something. I open my mouth to ask what it is but before I could even utter a single word he has brought the thing that he was getting and puts it on the table for me to see and I gasp as tears form in my eyes when I see it and I can't even believe what I'm looking at right now. "I need you to sign these divorce papers" He speaks to me.
